The situation
Your VP of Product has asked you, a PM responsible for new user growth at Miro, to recommend how the product should increase self-serve adoption over the next two quarters. Miro already attracts interest from many teams that need a shared visual workspace, but new users arrive with very different goals, and many sign up alone before they experience the value of working with others. Leadership wants growth that is efficient and repeatable, without depending on a large sales push or heavy paid marketing. The hard part is deciding where to focus first inside the product experience: helping users reach value faster in their first session, encouraging them to invite collaborators, shaping the free experience, making common use cases easier to start, or building a better learning loop from usage data. Each path could help, but capacity is limited, and a weak choice could raise signups without improving meaningful team adoption. You need to recommend a product-led go-to-market plan for this area, with clear priorities and measures of success.
What to produce
Write a 1 to 2 page product strategy memo.
Your answer must
- Define the primary growth objective for the next two quarters and the key success metrics, including at least one north star metric and one guardrail metric.
- Identify the most important user segments or entry use cases to focus on, and explain the likely funnel breakpoints from signup to meaningful collaborative use.
- Recommend one primary growth bet and one secondary bet for the product experience, and explain why you are not prioritizing the main alternatives yet.
- Propose 2 to 3 experiments or product changes, with the expected user behavior change, how you would measure success, and what decision each experiment would inform.
- Explain how the free experience, collaboration patterns, and product usage data should shape your launch and iteration plan.
Constraints
- Stay within a self-serve, product-led motion, not a new enterprise sales channel.
- Do not assume a large new paid marketing budget or a full redesign of the core whiteboard product.
- Your plan must preserve a useful free experience while still improving business outcomes.
- Use only signals that could plausibly be learned from in-product usage and collaboration behavior.
Format
Use short sections such as diagnosis, target users, recommendation, experiments, metrics, and risks.
