Strategy question
Anthropic wants to grow enterprise adoption on Google Cloud. In your first 90 days, how would you identify and prioritize the first 3 GCP enterprise integration patterns to build, balancing customer demand, security/compliance requirements, implementation cost, and near-term revenue impact? Be explicit about your prioritization framework and the evidence you would gather.

What this question tests
Tests prioritization discipline for enterprise partnerships under multiple constraints, and the ability to build an evidence-based roadmap rather than a gut-feel one.
How to approach it
- Clarify what an integration pattern means here, for example a Vertex AI model garden listing, a Bedrock-style provisioned throughput equivalent, or Marketplace private offers.
- Interview the GCP partner team and the top active enterprise prospects to size demand by segment, especially regulated industries with committed GCP spend.
- Score each candidate pattern on customer pull, such as pipeline value and deal blockers removed, against implementation cost in engineering weeks.
- Layer in compliance requirements like data residency, since those gate revenue even when demand looks high.
- Pick the three that unblock the most near-term revenue per engineering week, and document the evidence, such as deal logs, behind each pick.
What a strong answer includes
- Names an explicit framework, for example a weighted demand-times-feasibility matrix, and shows the weighting logic rather than a gut ranking.
- Assumes, for example, that 40 percent of stalled GCP pipeline cites missing VPC Service Controls support, and uses that to justify a pick.
- Distinguishes deals already in flight that need a fix now from features that merely expand future total addressable market.
- Ties each of the three picks to a specific unblocked-deal or revenue number, not just a customer's stated request.
Common mistakes
- Picking patterns based on the loudest customer instead of aggregate pipeline impact.
- Ignoring Google's own roadmap dependencies, which can quietly blow the 90-day timeline.
Likely follow-up questions
- How would you handle a pattern Google wants built but no customer has asked for yet?
- What would make you kill one of the three mid-quarter?
