Pick a specific, real, well known product rather than a vague category.
State the specific friction point users hit, grounded in an actual use case, not a general dislike.
Explain the likely root cause, such as conflicting priorities between teams or a design that optimized for one metric at the expense of usability.
Propose what a better design would look like, briefly.
State how you would validate that the proposed fix actually helps, such as a specific usability metric.

Picks an example with a genuinely specific, well reasoned flaw rather than a generic complaint like 'it's ugly'.
Connects the flaw to a plausible root cause, showing systems thinking rather than surface level critique.
Proposes a concrete alternative design and a way to measure whether it actually improves the experience.

Naming a product but only expressing a personal preference without a specific, reasoned critique.
Picking an example so obscure the interviewer cannot evaluate the reasoning.
