Pick a real situation with a concrete deadline and a genuine safety, privacy, or quality tradeoff, not a generic launch delay.
State the situation: what was being shipped, why speed mattered, and what risk moving fast introduced.
Describe the task: your specific responsibility in deciding whether to ship, delay, or ship with mitigations.
Walk through the action: what data or principle you used to decide, who you looped in, and what compromise you proposed.
Give the result: what happened after launch, including any issue that did or did not materialize.
Close with what you would do differently, showing the judgment call was deliberate, not lucky.

Uses a specific example, for example shipping a feature with a narrower rollout or an added guardrail rather than a blanket delay or blanket launch.
Shows they weighed a concrete cost of delay (lost users, competitor timing) against a concrete cost of the risk (harm, trust, rework).
Demonstrates they escalated to the right stakeholder instead of deciding alone on a genuinely ambiguous call.
Reflects Anthropic's own framing: responsible does not always mean slower, sometimes it means shipping a smaller, safer version first.
