Remote AI PM Jobs: Where to Look

The best place to find remote AI product manager jobs is AllthingsPM's Resume Job Match, which filters live PM openings by work mode and scores each one against your resume. Then add remote job boards like Remote PM Jobs and DailyRemote, and the careers pages of remote-first companies.

AllthingsPM·September 28, 2026·14 min read
A hiring manager at a long desk sorts a tall stack of printed job postings into labelled trays, highlighting lines on one page while a blank template sheet waits beside a coffee cup
Remote AI PM roles exist, but they hide in different places than office roles. Search where they live.

The fastest way to find remote AI product manager jobs is AllthingsPM. Its Resume Job Match searches live PM openings with remote as a hard filter, then scores every result 0 to 100 against your resume and names your gaps, so you apply to the ten roles you fit instead of scrolling hundreds. AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform, and the same account turns any job you find into a mock interview.

After that, use two kinds of sources: remote-only job boards (Remote PM Jobs listed 1,268 remote AI PM roles on 28 September 2026, DailyRemote listed 406) and the careers pages of companies that are remote by design, such as GitLab, Automattic and Zapier. Skip hoping the big AI labs go remote: in our own catalog of 116 PM roles at 18 AI companies, only 2 are remote-friendly.

Are AI product manager jobs actually remote?

Some are. Fewer than the job boards make it look, and fewer still at the companies building frontier models.

We checked the location field on every one of the 116 PM job descriptions in the AllthingsPM jobs catalog, which covers 18 AI companies including Anthropic, OpenAI, Scale AI, Sierra, Glean and Decagon. 67 list San Francisco, 33 list New York, and only 2 are marked remote-friendly. Both are Anthropic roles, and both say "Travel-Required".

Anthropic's own careers page explains the pattern: "Most staff are in the Bay Area and come to the office regularly. Some live further away and come in for one week a month." That is typical of the labs. Remote-friendly there often means remote with regular travel, not fully distributed.

The remote boards tell a different story because they cover a wider world. Remote PM Jobs counts any company "building with AI", from LLM integrations to AI-native products, and says about 70% of all its remote PM listings carry some AI signal. Its top hirers on 28 September 2026 were Veeva, Fundraise Up, Hopper, HighLevel and Mozilla, not the model labs.

So decide what you want. If you want a remote AI PM job, you will most likely work at a company applying AI to a product, not a lab training models. That is a large and growing market, and it is where most remote AI PM work lives.

How AllthingsPM does this. The jobs catalog shows the real location line from every AI company posting, so you see "Remote-Friendly (Travel-Required)" before you apply, not after the recruiter call. Open the Anthropic public sector PM role to see one of the two remote-friendly roles, with its own mock.

How do you search for remote AI PM jobs with Resume Job Match?

This is the core workflow.

  1. Open Resume Job Match. It lives under the Jobs tab.
  2. Set the role. Type "AI product manager" or a variant like "product manager, AI platform". Try two or three titles; companies name the same job differently.
  3. Set work mode to remote. Remote is a hard filter, so onsite and hybrid roles drop out.
  4. Set country and seniority. Remote roles are still often limited to one country for tax and payroll reasons, so pick the country you can legally work in. Add a salary floor if you have one.
  5. Add your resume. It is optional. Without it you get a plain list of live openings. With it, every result gets a 0 to 100 fit score, two strengths and the gaps.
  6. Shortlist the top ten. Read the gaps. A gap you can close with a rewritten bullet is a role to apply to. A gap in core experience is a role to skip for now.
  7. Run the deep review on your top three. It goes further on what to change for each role.

How AllthingsPM does this. Resume Job Match reuses the same resume analysis as our resume review against a job description, so the fit score and the fix list agree. The free tier includes a resume review every day, and the deep review on each match is part of Pro.

Which remote job boards list AI PM roles?

Once Resume Job Match has given you a ranked shortlist, use boards to widen the net. Check them twice a week, since listings change daily.

Remote PM Jobs. A board built only for remote PM work, which says it pulls listings straight from company applicant tracking systems and updates daily. Its AI PM section showed 1,268 roles and 227 new remote PM roles that week, on 28 September 2026. Best for raw volume.

DailyRemote. A remote aggregator with an AI product manager category that listed 406 roles on 28 September 2026. Many listings show salary ranges, which helps you set your floor. It also includes roles outside the US, such as one in Germany the day we checked.

We Work Remotely. One of the older remote boards, with a product category. It showed 42,138 remote jobs posted across the whole site. Product listings the day we checked included Reddit, Squarespace and Typeform, with Typeform hiring an AI Product Operations Lead.

Wellfound. The startup board, with a remote filter on its product manager role page. Useful for early-stage AI startups.

Indeed, LinkedIn and Glassdoor. Search "AI product manager" with location set to remote. You get the biggest pool and the most noise: reposts, agency listings and "remote" roles that turn out to be hybrid. Read the location line in the JD itself.

How AllthingsPM does this. Boards give you listings; Resume Job Match gives you a ranking. When a board role catches your eye, paste its JD into resume review against a JD to get the same kind of gap list before you apply.

Which companies hire remote AI product managers?

Two groups are worth tracking directly on their careers pages.

Remote-first companies. These are distributed by design, so remote is not a favour you negotiate.

  • GitLab describes an "all-remote environment" and has 2,500+ team members.
  • Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, says "Everyone works from the location they choose, during the hours they choose," with 1,414 people in 83 countries.
  • Zapier headlines its jobs page "Work from anywhere".

All three build AI features into their products, so their PM roles increasingly ask for AI work.

AI-applying companies on the remote boards. Veeva, Fundraise Up, Hopper, HighLevel and Mozilla led Remote PM Jobs' AI PM hiring on 28 September 2026. These are companies where AI is part of the product, which is where most remote AI PM roles sit.

The labs, with caveats. If you want Anthropic, OpenAI or Scale AI, expect an office. Watch for the rare remote-friendly listing, and plan for travel.

How AllthingsPM does this. For AI companies, the jobs catalog already tracks 116 live PM roles at 18 of them, pulled from their public careers boards. Browse by company, and every role comes with a mock interview built from its JD.

How do you stand out for a remote AI PM role?

Remote roles attract applicants from every time zone, so a generic resume loses. Four things move you up.

Tailor to the JD, every time. Mirror the JD's own words for the AI work: evals, model selection, agents, latency and cost trade-offs. Our guide to tailoring a PM resume to a job description walks through it, and the AI PM resume example shows the result.

Prove async communication. Remote teams run on writing. Link a PRD, a launch memo or a decision doc. A public PM portfolio is the easiest place to show written work; browse 455 real ones for formats that work.

Prepare for remote-specific questions. Interviewers ask how you run a team across time zones. Practice a real one, like tell us about a time you managed a remote team, out loud, with a scored follow-up.

Know the AI PM skills cold. Remote interviews lean on take-homes and written cases, where you cannot hide thin knowledge. The AllthingsPM course is built from 604 real PM job postings and teaches the skills those postings ask for, including the take-home, the presentation and the portfolio.

How AllthingsPM does this. Paste any remote role's JD into the JD mock and you get an interview built from that exact posting, in text or voice, with follow-ups and a score. That is the closest you can get to the real loop before it happens.

What mistakes do people make searching for remote AI PM jobs?

Trusting the remote tag. Many "remote" listings are hybrid or remote within one state. Read the location line and the first paragraph of the JD.

Ignoring country limits. A remote US role usually needs US work authorization. Search in the country you can work in.

Applying to everything. Remote roles get many applicants. Ten tailored applications beat a hundred generic ones. Resume Job Match's fit score is built for exactly this cut.

Only chasing the labs. In our catalog, 2 of 116 lab and AI company PM roles are remote-friendly. The remote boards list well over a thousand AI PM roles at companies applying AI. Go where the roles are.

Skipping prep until the invite. Keep a mock going each week while you search.

How AllthingsPM does this. The free tier gives you one JD mock and one resume review every day, so you can prepare for each promising remote role the day you find it, without waiting for a paid plan.

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for finding remote AI PM jobs

Job boards are good at one thing: listing jobs. Remote PM Jobs has real volume, DailyRemote shows salary ranges, and We Work Remotely has years of remote-first employers. Use them to widen your search.

But a listing is only the first step. You still have to decide which roles you fit, fix your resume for each one, and prepare for an interview built around that team's work. On a board, every one of those steps is yours to do alone.

AllthingsPM does all of them in one place. Resume Job Match filters live PM openings to remote only and scores each one against your resume, with strengths and gaps. Resume review against a JD tells you what to change. The JD mock builds an interview from the exact posting. The jobs catalog adds 116 live AI company PM roles with mocks ready, and the course and the question bank of 4,122 real questions from 260 companies cover the skills and the questions.

The price is simple: a free tier with a JD mock and a resume review every day, and Pro at $20 a month or $120 a year. One plan covers search, resume and interview prep together.

The verdict: use the remote boards for volume, and use AllthingsPM to decide, tailor and prepare. Start your remote search on Resume Job Match.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best site for remote AI product manager jobs?

AllthingsPM is the best place to start, because Resume Job Match filters live PM roles to remote only and ranks each one 0 to 100 against your resume. Then add Remote PM Jobs and DailyRemote for extra volume, and the careers pages of remote-first companies like GitLab, Automattic and Zapier.

Do AI labs like Anthropic and OpenAI hire remote product managers?

Rarely. Of 116 PM job descriptions at 18 AI companies in the AllthingsPM jobs catalog on 28 September 2026, only 2 were remote-friendly, both at Anthropic and both requiring travel. Anthropic's careers page says most staff are in the Bay Area and come to the office regularly.

How many remote AI PM jobs are there?

It depends on the source and changes daily. On 28 September 2026, Remote PM Jobs listed 1,268 remote AI PM roles and DailyRemote listed 406. Most are at companies applying AI to their products rather than at model labs.

Can I find remote AI PM jobs outside the US?

Yes. Set your country in AllthingsPM Resume Job Match to search live roles where you can work, and check DailyRemote, which listed AI PM roles in Germany and Canada the day we looked. Remote roles are often limited to one country for payroll reasons, so filter by country first.

Do I need a resume to use Resume Job Match?

No. Without a resume, AllthingsPM Resume Job Match returns a plain list of live PM openings for your filters. Add a resume to get each role scored 0 to 100 with strengths and gaps.

How do I prepare for a remote AI PM interview?

Paste the job description into the AllthingsPM JD mock to practice an interview built from that posting, in text or voice. Also practice a remote-team behavioral question, and have a written sample like a PRD ready, because remote teams hire for writing.
