Product sense and prioritization: can the candidate propose features grounded in a real user pain point rather than a random idea.

Ask which user segment to focus on, for example casual scrollers, niche communities, or public figures, since Twitter serves all three differently.
Pick one segment, such as niche community members, and name their pain point: hard to find ongoing conversations on a specific topic.
Propose a feature, for example topic based rooms that surface the best replies on a subject in real time.
Prioritize using reach times impact times confidence against effort, and explain why this beats two or three alternative ideas.
Define a success metric, such as daily active participants in topic rooms and their day 7 retention.

Anchors the pitch in a specific segment, for example sports fans during live games, rather than a vague everyone-wins feature.
Compares the idea against an alternative, like improved thread readability, and explains the tradeoff explicitly.
Names a concrete success metric with an assumed baseline, such as 10 percent of live event tweets currently come from under 1 percent of accounts.

Listing five shallow feature ideas instead of going deep on one with real reasoning.
Ignoring how the feature affects the core timeline or ad business.
