What this question tests

Core product sense: picking a user segment and pain point within a mature product rather than boiling the ocean.

Pick a specific segment, for example lapsed users who check the feed less than once a week.
State their pain point: the feed feels cluttered with ads and low relevance posts, so they do not come back.
Prioritize relevance and signal to noise over adding new content types.
Propose a why am I seeing this control plus a feedback loop, like hide or see less, that visibly changes the next session's feed.
Define success as day 7 return rate for lapsed users and fewer explicit hide post actions over time.

Names a real segment, lapsed weekly users, instead of all users.
Chooses transparency and control over just tuning the ranking algorithm further, since trust is a known weak spot.
Gives an illustrative number, for example assuming a 5 percent lift in day 7 return for the segment.
Flags the trade off with ad load, since relevance controls can reduce ad impressions.

Proposing a laundry list of features instead of one focused change.
Ignoring that newsfeed ranking already optimizes for engagement, without explaining what is different here.
