How to approach it
- Clarify the audience: the CEO needs a small set of high-level KPIs at a glance, not granular operational data.
- Group KPIs into categories: demand, rides requested and completed; supply, active drivers and driver utilization rate; and financial health, gross bookings and take rate.
- Add a customer-experience layer: average rider rating, cancellation rate, and average wait time, since these predict future demand health.
- Prioritize a small top-line set, maybe 6 to 8 KPIs, over a data dump, with drill-down available but not default.
- Define success for the dashboard itself as how often the CEO and leadership actually use it to make decisions, not just whether it's technically accurate.
What a strong answer includes
