A strong product leader portfolio does not look like a PM portfolio with a bigger title. The best Director, VP and CPO sites lead with a point of view, prove scale with two or three big numbers, and end with a clear way to hire, book or refer the person. AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform, and its free PM Portfolios directory lists 113 real Director and VP/CPO portfolio sites (53 Director, 60 VP/CPO, out of 455 in total), filterable by level and industry, next to the course, JD mock and resume review that turn a leadership site into an offer.
Below: the 12 leadership portfolios worth studying, what each one does well, the data on all 113, and a plan to build yours.

How AllthingsPM does this. Open PM Portfolios, set the level filter to Director or VP/CPO and the industry to yours, and you are comparing yourself with real peers instead of new grads. Every listing opens the person's live site in a new tab.
How is a Director or VP portfolio different from a PM portfolio?
The job changes, so the proof changes. Mind the Product describes the Director level as the point where the role "goes from an individual contributor who owns a product and works hands-on with engineering and design teams, to someone who has stepped back from the day-to-day to focus on leading other product managers and working on alignment."
It describes VP Product as "all about managing other product managers," and the CPO as "the most senior product person in an organisation" who represents product "in the C-suite or management team."
That gives a leadership portfolio three jobs a PM portfolio does not have:
- Show the organization, not just the product. Team size, number of PMs, the functions you led. Jack Litchfield lists a team of 34 across product, design, creative and research at Super.com.
- Show judgment in public. A leader is hired for how they think. Writing, talks and a stated operating philosophy do this better than a feature teardown.
- Make the next step obvious. Hire me, book me to speak, bring me in as a fractional CPO, or ask me for a referral. The strongest sites pick one or two and say so.
A PM portfolio proves you can ship. A leadership portfolio proves people should follow you.
How AllthingsPM does this. The AllthingsPM course is built for exactly this shift: the lesson on the business case and the ship or no ship call you defend to leadership and the one on measuring AI impact in a currency leadership will fund both produce writing a Director can publish.
What do the 12 standout product leader portfolios do well?
1. Rachel Wolan: identity in two lines
Rachel Wolan's site opens with "Builder first. Executive second." and the line "I love to build, lead by building, and build teams of builders." It then states "Currently CPO at Webflow," followed by a toolkit billed as "A complete guide to becoming an AI-native leader," her talks, her writing and her angel investments. The footer says she is available for speaking, podcasts, panels and Webflow job referrals.
Copy this: a CPO site does not need case studies. It needs a stance, current role, public thinking and a reason to get in touch.
2. Vanessa Kafka: a leadership site that sells
Vanessa Kafka's headline is "Clear vision. Simple products. Empowered teams." The site shows three stats (15+ years in product, 100+ experiments run, 5+ industries deep), a "Why Fractional?" section that argues "Hiring a full-time VP of Product is a big commitment," a "How I Work" section, testimonials, and an offer of a free discovery call. Our directory notes she led 40 PMs and designers as SVP of Product at KAYAK.
Copy this: if you want fractional work, answer the buyer's objection on the page.
3. Jack Litchfield: scale on every role
Jack Litchfield's portfolio lists each role with its numbers. At Super.com: "served 80MM+ customers, drove $1B+ revenue, reached EBITDA positive" and grew memberships "from $0 to >$5M MRR in 1 year." At Extra Card he lists the team he managed: 8 PMs, 3 project managers and 2 designers.
Copy this: for each leadership role, write team size and one business number.
4. Matthew Stublefield: the deep library
Matthew Stublefield's case studies page holds 21 case studies grouped by employer and theme: CoinDesk, the Atlassian ecosystem, enterprise consulting, university infrastructure and independent work. Titles like "Learn for Jira: From $6.5M Problem to Sunset" name the stakes before you click.
Copy this: if you go deep, group the work so a reader can jump to the part that matches their company.
5. Vamsee Jasti: lead with a question
Vamsee Jasti's headline is "What to build with AI," followed by a line saying he thinks about what to build with AI and what not to. He is a Senior Director of Product Management at Meta, where he says he leads AI Search for Facebook. The page asks: "When you can build almost anything with AI, how do you figure out what's actually worth building?"
Copy this: a leader's thesis is a stronger headline than a job title.
6. Stine Dahlberg: personality, then product
Stine Dahlberg's site introduces her as CPO at Polaroid with a background at Apple, The New York Times and Spotify, adds a philosophy line ("I believe the world doesn't change without a little bit of trouble") and a free workshop offer for underrepresented groups in tech. Three shipped Polaroid products sit at the bottom.
Copy this: at CPO level, people hire the person. Let the site sound like you.
7. Ezinne Udezue: two audiences, two paths
Ezinne Udezue's hero reads "Product Builder · Author · Speaker · Investor" and "I help companies build winning teams and products." The site cites "Over twenty years building and leading product teams," includes the line "I build things, not just decks," and gives companies and event organizers separate sections.
Copy this: if more than one kind of visitor lands on your site, give each a path.
8. Rangaprabhu Parthasarathy: the personal publication
Rangaprabhu Parthasarathy's site calls itself "A journal of product, AI, and the craft of building things people love." It states "Twenty-five years of consumer products at Amazon and Meta. Currently Director of Product, AI Wearables," names Echo, Kindle and Oculus Quest, and notes he is open to advising.
Copy this: naming famous shipped products does the work of three case studies.
9 to 12. Four more worth a look
- Jaclyn Konzelmann is a Director of Product Management at Google Labs; our directory entry notes she builds AI products and creative tools from zero to one.
- Cathrine Gunasekara shows a career climb from mobile PM to Director of Product leading Growth and Apps at KAYAK.
- Sherif Maktabi is Director of Product Management for Agents at UiPath, and the domain itself states the specialty.
- Matan Grady keeps it minimal: "Matan Grady - Product Manager & Builder," for a Director of Product at Port leading AI initiatives.

What do 113 real Director and VP portfolios have in common?
We counted the 113 Director and VP/CPO entries in our directory on 28 September 2026.
| Pattern | Leadership portfolios | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Listed in the AllthingsPM directory | 113 | 100% |
| Hosted on their own domain | 98 | 87% |
| Mention AI, ML, LLMs or agents | 44 | 39% |
| Summary cites years of experience | 34 | 30% |
| Summary names a former employer or role | 31 | 27% |
| Positioned as fractional, advisor or consultant | 19 | 17% |
Four patterns stand out.
Own domains dominate. 98 of 113 use their own domain. Most of the rest are about.me profiles (11). Aakash Gupta writes that for "Senior/Leadership PMs targeting director-level roles, investing time in Webflow enables you to build a distinctive professional site with full narrative control." The tool matters less than owning the address.
AI is the most common story. 25 are in AI/ML, and 44 mention AI, ML, LLMs or agents somewhere in their title or summary, including leaders in fintech, healthtech and consumer.
The site is often a storefront. 19 leaders present themselves as fractional CPOs, advisors or consultants. For them the portfolio is the sales page, which is why Kafka and Udezue read like service pages.
Pedigree carries weight. 31 summaries name a former employer or role. At this level "former VP Product at Eventbrite" or "Amazon and Meta" is a proof point in its own right.

What should a product leader portfolio include?
Recruiters rarely read long. The Product Folks note that "Recruiters spend an average of 7 seconds reviewing a resume," and a homepage gets similar treatment. Build the site in this order:
- A one-line stance. "Builder first. Executive second." or "What to build with AI." Not "Product leader passionate about customers."
- Current role and scope. Title, company, team size, the functions you lead.
- Three proof numbers. Revenue, users, growth, team built. Litchfield and Kafka both do this.
- Two or three leadership stories. Gupta advises picking "your top two or three case studies." At this level, make them about an org decision, a strategy bet or a turnaround, not a feature.
- Public thinking. Essays, talks, a toolkit. Wolan, Jasti and Parthasarathy lead with writing.
- One clear call to action. Hire, advise, speak, or refer.
For each leadership story, use this shape: the business situation, the team and budget you had, the call you made and the options you rejected, how you brought other leaders along, the outcome with a number, and what you would change.
Confidential work. Most leadership work is under NDA. Use percentages, anonymize where needed, and check your employer's rules before sharing internal documents.
How AllthingsPM does this. The course lesson on the take-home, the presentation and the portfolio covers what hiring panels read first, and the Empowered book summary is a fast refresher on the product leadership language Director and VP loops use.
Do Directors and VPs of Product even need a portfolio?
Often a résumé and a network carry a leader further than a website. A portfolio pays off most when:
- You are going fractional or advisory. 19 of the 113 leaders are, and their site is how buyers find and vet them.
- You are moving into AI product leadership. Visible writing and prototypes answer "does this leader understand AI products?"
- You want speaking, board or advisory invitations. Udezue and Wolan both give event organizers a path.
- You are switching industries and need your thinking to travel without your old company's brand.
If none of these apply, a sharp résumé tailored to each role and strong interview stories may be the better use of a weekend.
How AllthingsPM does this. Paste the leadership role you want into JD resume review. If it flags gaps a résumé cannot show, like public thinking on AI, build the site. Then use Resume Job Match to find roles that fit.
How do you prepare for Director and VP of Product interviews once the site is live?
A leadership site gets you the conversation. The loop still tests strategy, org design and judgment. Expect questions like "Tell me about a time you had to stop being a yes person for your manager or senior leadership" or "Give me an example of the biggest mistake in product strategy of a successful product."
Your portfolio stories should be the raw material for these answers. Map each leadership story on your site to at least one behavioral and one strategy question, and rehearse it out loud.
How AllthingsPM does this. The question bank holds 4,122 real questions from 260 companies, each with an answer guide, and a JD mock turns the exact posting into a scored interview with follow-ups, in text or voice. For a general round, practice mock interviews by question type.
Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for product leader portfolios
Most portfolio roundups show a dozen hand-picked sites, mostly junior. AllthingsPM lists 113 Director and VP/CPO portfolios, and 455 in total, free, with level and industry filters, so a product leader compares against real peers.
A portfolio is only one step of a leadership search, and AllthingsPM covers the rest in the same place. The AI PM course gives you 14 graded case studies, built from 604 real PM job postings, that make strong public writing. JD resume review scores your résumé against a specific posting. A JD mock turns that posting into a scored interview. The question bank has 4,122 real questions with answer guides. Pro costs $20/month or $120/year, with a free tier.
Other options have real strengths. Site builders like Webflow make polished leadership sites easy, and executive coaches offer a human sounding board. But no site builder or coach also hands you 113 leadership peer examples, a course, JD-scored résumé review and a JD mock for one price.
Verdict: start with AllthingsPM. Browse the Director and VP portfolios free, then use the course and JD mock to turn the site into an offer. See also senior PM portfolio examples, AI product manager portfolio examples and product manager portfolio examples.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best source of product leader portfolio examples?
AllthingsPM's free PM Portfolios directory is the best place to start: it lists 113 real Director and VP/CPO portfolio sites and 455 in total, filterable by level and industry. Rachel Wolan, Vanessa Kafka and Jack Litchfield are good first reads.
What should a Director or VP of Product portfolio include?
A one-line stance, your current role and team scope, three proof numbers, two or three leadership stories, public writing or talks, and one clear call to action. Keep feature-level case studies short.
How many case studies should a product leader portfolio have?
Two or three deep ones is the usual advice; Aakash Gupta recommends "your top two or three case studies." Some leaders, like Matthew Stublefield, keep a larger library but group it so readers can jump to what matters.
Do CPOs have portfolio websites?
Many do. The AllthingsPM directory lists 60 at VP/CPO level, including sites from the CPOs of Webflow and Polaroid. Most focus on stance, writing and speaking rather than case studies.
Should a fractional CPO have a portfolio site?
Yes. 19 of the 113 leaders in our directory position themselves as fractional, advisors or consultants, and sites like Vanessa Kafka's work as a service page: stats, how she works, testimonials and a call to book.
