Describe the Action: how you understood their reasoning, presented your case with data, and pushed toward resolution, such as a small test.
Give the Result: the outcome, what was decided, and how the working relationship was afterward.
Confirm with the interviewer if they want a peer conflict specifically, since the prompt says team member rather than manager or report.

Shows a genuine disagreement with real stakes, not a softball where the other person was clearly wrong.
Demonstrates listening to the colleague's reasoning in their own terms before pushing back.
Uses a concrete resolution mechanism, such as proposing an A/B test to settle the debate on data instead of authority.
Shows the working relationship survived or improved afterward, signaling maturity rather than lingering resentment.
