Best AI PM Interview Prep Resources (2026)

The best AI PM interview prep resource is AllthingsPM: real AI product manager interview questions from OpenAI, Anthropic and 260 companies, each with an answer guide, and scored mocks built from any job description. Add a guide, a book and one coach session.

AllthingsPM·September 28, 2026·15 min read
A product manager at a library table sorts a stack of printed interview questions into three piles beside an open laptop, a thick book and a sticky-note study plan
Reading the questions is step one. Answering them out loud, against the real role, is where offers come from.

The best resource for AI product manager interview questions is AllthingsPM: it has 4,122 real PM interview questions from 260 companies, including OpenAI, Anthropic and Google DeepMind, each with its own page and answer guide, and it turns any of them, or any job description you paste, into a scored mock interview with follow-ups, typed or spoken. One JD mock a day is free; unlimited is $20 a month. AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Round it out with one written guide (Aced or Aakash Gupta), one book (Marily Nika's Building AI-Powered Products) and, if the loop matters, one paid coach session.

Bar chart of the cost of a year of AI PM interview prep. AllthingsPM (us) first at $120 a year with a free tier, then Aced AI tier $240, three median Prepfully sessions $447, Marily Nika's AI PM Bootcamp $2,500 and Product Faculty's AI PM Certification $5,000
AllthingsPM: $120 a year, free tier included. Others: vendor pages checked September 2026

A year of AllthingsPM costs less than one Prepfully session at the top of its range, and about one twentieth of the Maven bootcamp. The cohorts teach more than interviews, to be fair, but if your goal is the interview itself, the money should go to practice volume.

What do AI product manager interview questions actually test?

Before picking resources, know what you are preparing for. Northeastern University's 2026 career guide lists four shifts: a dedicated AI product sense round, technical depth in every loop, deeper behavioral probing, and the near disappearance of estimation. Its sharpest line: questions "have moved from 'tell me about your favorite product' to 'users say Gemini is confident but wrong, how would you fix it?'"

Aakash Gupta's 2026 guide says the same from the hiring side: "Safety is tested everywhere," and vibe coding is now a real round at some companies. Reported loops differ by company:

  • Meta runs an AI product sense round of roughly 30 minutes of classic product sense, then about 30 minutes of prototyping in an internal AI tool, per Aced and Prepfully guides.
  • OpenAI runs product sense and execution screens, then a 4 to 6 round loop with a safety focused stakeholder screen, per Aced.
  • Anthropic asks candidates not to use AI in live interviews unless told otherwise, per its own candidate guidance.

Employers write the same priorities into job posts. In our analysis of 335 AI-native PM postings from 88 companies, technical fluency about model trade-offs appears in 88 percent, agents in 74 percent and evals in 53 percent. OpenAI CPO Kevin Weil said on Lenny's Podcast: "Writing evals is going to become a core skill for product managers."

How AllthingsPM does this. The AI PM course is built from those same postings, with a full chapter on evals and a final chapter on the AI PM interview loop. Every lesson links to real questions you can answer in a scored mock, so what you study maps directly onto what the rounds test.

The resources, ranked

1. AllthingsPM: best overall for AI PM interview questions and practice

AllthingsPM is the one resource on this list where reading a question, practicing it out loud and getting scored happen in the same place.

The AllthingsPM question bank with 4,122 questions and filters for product design, strategy, metrics, estimation, behavioral, and AI and technical
The AllthingsPM question bank, September 2026

It has no human coaches. For a human read, add one session from rank 4.

2. Aced (formerly Exponent)

Aced publishes detailed company interview guides, including OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta and Microsoft AI PM guides, and runs peer and AI mocks. The free plan includes 5 peer mocks a month; the tier with AI mocks is $20 a month billed annually or $99 month to month. Its guides and peer community are real strengths, but its mocks are not built from your job description.

How AllthingsPM does this. Read an Aced company guide once, then run that company's real questions from our company hubs as scored mocks, as many times as you need. At $120 a year, AllthingsPM costs half of Aced's annual AI tier.

3. Aakash Gupta's AI PM Interview Guide 2026

A clear newsletter overview of how AI PM interviews changed, with real questions from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Meta and Amazon and an 84-question prep bank. The core changes are free; detailed answers and the question bank need a paid subscription with a 7-day trial. Good for orientation, not for practice.

4. Prepfully

A marketplace of PM coaches, with sessions from $69 to $399 and a median of $149, plus useful free guides such as its Meta "product sense with AI" guide. Book one session with someone from your target company once you have a real loop.

How AllthingsPM does this. Arrive at that paid session already fluent. Run ten or more scored mock interviews on the company's questions first, so the $149 goes on calibration, not on learning the format.

5. Building AI-Powered Products by Marily Nika

Published by O'Reilly in March 2025, 227 pages, by a PM with more than 13 years building AI products at Google and Meta. It covers the AI product lifecycle, agents, strategy and case studies. It teaches the thinking behind good answers; it is not a question bank. For product sense structure more generally, our summary of Decode and Conquer is a fast refresher.

6. Marily Nika's AI Product Management Bootcamp (Maven)

A live cohort: $2,500 for 5 weeks with 18 live sessions, a capstone and a certificate. Good if you want live teaching. JD mocks, question banks and job tools are not listed. Our full comparison is in AllthingsPM vs Marily Nika's AI PM Bootcamp.

7. Product Faculty's AI PM Certification (Maven)

A live cohort listed at $5,000, with a lead instructor from OpenAI and a 4.7 rating from 1,487 Maven reviews. It includes a "Nailing AI/PM Interviews" bonus certification. See AllthingsPM vs Product Faculty.

How AllthingsPM does this. The course on AllthingsPM covers the same ground employers ask for, from evals to agents to AI pricing, because it was built from 604 real job postings. It is self-paced, starts today and costs $120 a year, about one fortieth of the Product Faculty cohort.

8. PMMockr

A PM-specific AI mock tool with timed voice or text rounds on its own free question set; premium is INR 2,700 for 3 months, paid up front. Fine for extra generic reps. It has no course, no JD mocks and no live job catalog.

9. Free guides, podcasts and company rules

Northeastern's career guide, Lenny's Podcast episodes on evals and Anthropic's candidate AI guidance are all free and worth an hour. They tell you what to expect; they do not make you practice.

How AllthingsPM does this. Our podcast summaries condense Lenny's Podcast and other shows, and our post on Lenny's Podcast evals episodes pulls the eval lessons into one page, so the free listening turns into notes you can use in an answer.

Do you need a course, a question bank or mock interviews?

It depends on where you are.

Already a PM, new to AI. You need the vocabulary: tokens, latency, RAG, evals, agent autonomy. Start with the free Foundations lessons in the AI PM course, then the Evals chapter.

Know AI, weak at interviews. You need volume. Work through the AI PM interview questions guide, then answer each question out loud in a mock.

Interview in two weeks. You need the exact role. Paste the posting into the JD mock and run one scored interview a day, then add one human mock.

How AllthingsPM does this. All three situations start in the same free account: one JD mock and one resume review a day, the full question bank with answer guides, and the free course lessons. Upgrade only when one mock a day is not enough.

How should you use these resources in a two-week plan?

Days 1 to 3. Read the target job description and its company hub. Run one JD mock a day and note which answers lost structure.

Days 4 to 7. Drill your weakest area. For evals, work the agent evals lesson and answer three eval questions out loud. For trade-offs, practice a new model that improves accuracy by 20% but doubles latency.

Days 8 to 10. Add a human: a free peer mock on Aced, or ask a PM friend to push back with follow-ups.

Days 11 to 13. If the loop matters, book one coach session. Bring your two weakest stories.

Day 14. Run a final JD mock and check your resume against the JD so every claim you will be asked about is on the page.

How AllthingsPM does this. Every step except the human mock runs in one account. On the free tier, this plan costs nothing; on Pro, you can run as many mocks a day as you want.

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for AI PM interview prep

The goal is not to read AI PM interview questions; it is to answer them well under follow-up pressure, for one specific role. That is where AllthingsPM wins.

Guides like Aced's and Aakash Gupta's tell you what to expect. Books like Marily Nika's build the thinking. Cohorts give you live teachers and a certificate for $2,500 to $5,000. Coaches give you a human read for about $149 a session. Each is good at one thing.

AllthingsPM puts the parts that decide the interview in one place: 4,122 real questions from 260 companies with answer guides, company hubs, mocks built from the exact job description with follow-ups and a score, 116 live AI company postings with ready mocks, and a course built from 604 job postings, all for $120 a year with a free tier. Only four tools we found build mocks from a JD, and none of the others also has the course, the question bank and the live JDs.

Use a coach once, near the end, if you can. Do the daily work on AllthingsPM. Start your free JD mock.

Your next interview is for one role. Open AllthingsPM, paste its job description into a free JD mock, and find your weakest answer today, before the real interviewer does.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI PM interview prep resource?

AllthingsPM: it combines 4,122 real questions with answer guides, mocks built from any job description with follow-ups and a score, 116 live AI company job descriptions and an AI PM course built from 604 postings, with a free tier. Add one guide, one book and a coach session if the loop matters.

Where can I find real AI product manager interview questions?

The AllthingsPM question bank has 4,122 real PM questions from 260 companies, 269 under the AI and Technical filter, with hubs for OpenAI, Anthropic and other AI companies. Aced and Aakash Gupta publish company guides with examples, and some question sets are paywalled.

What do AI PM interviews ask that normal PM interviews do not?

Evals, model trade-offs such as accuracy against latency and cost, safety and hallucinations, agent autonomy and AI economics. Some companies, Meta most visibly, add a live prototyping round with an AI tool.

Is an AI PM bootcamp worth it for interview prep?

For interviews alone, usually not. Cohorts cost $2,500 to $5,000 and teach broadly; interview success comes from practicing real questions out loud. AllthingsPM gives you that practice plus a course for $120 a year.

How long should I prepare for an AI PM interview?

Two weeks of daily practice is a workable minimum if you already know PM basics; longer if you are new to AI concepts. Start with the course fundamentals, then run a scored mock every day.
