For most people aiming at an AI PM job, AllthingsPM is the better choice: a 101 lesson AI PM course built from 604 job postings plus JD-based mock interviews for $120 a year. Marily Nika's Maven bootcamp is a $2,500, 5 week live cohort with a capstone and certificate.

A live cohort or a year of daily practice: two routes into AI product management.

Short answer: if your goal is to land an AI product manager job, AllthingsPM is the better choice for most people. AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Its AI PM course has 14 chapters and 101 lessons built backwards from 604 real PM job postings, updated weekly, and it comes with mock interviews built from any job description, 4,122 real interview questions and resume review, for $120 a year with a free tier. Marily Nika's AI Product Management Bootcamp on Maven is a live cohort: $2,500 for 5 weeks, 18 live sessions, a capstone with engineering support and a certificate, when we checked on September 28, 2026.

The two are different kinds of product. One is a live class you attend for five weeks. The other is a year of learning and interview practice you use every day. The table below shows what that means in practice.

What is Marily Nika's AI PM Bootcamp?

It is a live, cohort-based course sold on Maven under the AI Product Academy name. Dr. Marily Nika, whom the Maven page describes as a GenAI PM lead at Google, a former Meta AI product leader and a PhD in machine learning, teaches it with guest faculty. The 2026 page names Constantinos Neophytou of Anthropic and Deb Liu, former CEO of Ancestry, among the instructors.

According to the Maven page, the bootcamp covers LLM fundamentals and the AI product lifecycle, validation with tools such as Perplexity and NotebookLM, evals, AI architecture and productionization, agentic systems, and product strategy. It ends with a real product you build, launch and pitch at Demo Day, with 5 hours of dedicated engineering support. It is rated 4.3 out of 5 from 619 reviews on Maven.

Its reach is real. Marily Nika wrote in her newsletter that the bootcamp reached 100 cohorts, and the Maven page now lists 30,000+ alumni across her courses. She also posted that her courses were chosen as top Maven courses in both AI and product management. She discussed AI product management on Lenny's Podcast in 2024, arguing that "all PMs will be AI PMs".

How AllthingsPM does this: instead of a fixed cohort syllabus, the AI PM course is compiled from what employers actually list in PM job postings, and the chapter list changes when the postings do. Chapters such as Evals and Agents and agentic architecture cover the same ground the bootcamp names, and you can start the first lessons free.

Which teaches more of what AI PM job postings ask for?

This is the question that matters if you want the job, and it is where AllthingsPM is strongest. We built the course by reading 604 real PM job postings and turning the skills they list into chapters: discovery and strategy for AI products, the AI PRD, evals, agents, economics and pricing, enterprise deployment, and a chapter on getting the job itself. The course is updated weekly, and we covered the method in our guide to AI PM skills.

The bootcamp's topics overlap well with that list. Evals, agents and architecture show up in both. The difference is the source: a cohort syllabus is set by its instructors ahead of each run, while ours tracks the postings. Our state of AI PM hiring report shows how fast those postings move.

The bootcamp's capstone is a genuine strength: you ship something with an engineer's help. AllthingsPM gives you 14 graded case studies instead, which produce written artifacts such as an AI PRD with guardrails or an eval plan, the kind of proof we recommend in our list of AI PM projects to build for your portfolio.

How AllthingsPM does this: every lesson links to the concepts it uses on the knowledge graph, so you can see how evals connect to guardrails, metrics and launch decisions. Each chapter ends in a graded case study, and the feedback tells you what a hiring manager would push on.

Which prepares you better for AI PM interviews?

AllthingsPM, clearly. The bootcamp page is about building AI products; it does not list mock interviews, a question bank or job description tools. (Marily Nika's newsletter mentions peer mock interviews in the community, and aiproduct.com lists a separate AI PM Interview Mastery certification.) On AllthingsPM, interview prep is the core of the product:

  • JD mock interviews. Paste any job description into the JD mock and an AI interviewer builds the interview around that role, asks follow-ups and scores you, by voice or text.
  • Real questions with answers. The question bank holds 4,122 real PM questions from 260 companies, each with its own page and answer guide, and a hub per company such as Anthropic and OpenAI.
  • Live AI roles. 116 current PM job descriptions at 18 AI companies in the jobs catalog, such as Product Lead, AI/ML (Evals) at Abridge, each with a mock built from it.
  • Resume fit. Resume review against a JD shows what the posting asks for that your resume does not prove yet.

AI lab loops increasingly test evals and model tradeoffs directly. A real example from our bank: offline evals show strong gains, but internal dogfooders say the model feels worse. A course teaches you the idea; answering that question out loud, with follow-ups, is what prepares you for the room.

How AllthingsPM does this: the course and the practice live in one place. Read the AI product sense and execution rounds lesson, then answer a real question in practice and compare your answer with the guide on the same page.

How much does each cost?

Prices checked September 28, 2026. The Maven page mentions employer reimbursement templates and group discounts.

In plain numbers: a year of AllthingsPM costs about one twentieth of a single bootcamp cohort. If your employer has a learning budget and wants you in a live class, the bootcamp is a reasonable way to spend it. If you are paying yourself and your goal is an AI PM offer, $120 buys a year of daily practice aimed at that offer.

How AllthingsPM does this: start on the free tier, run a free JD mock on a real posting, and only look at pricing once you know it helps. One subscription covers the course, the mocks, resume tools and the library of book summaries and podcast summaries.

Does the certificate matter?

Less than people think. We read 389 current PM job postings at 86 companies, and none of them requires an AI PM or product management certificate, as we reported in is an AI PM certification worth it in 2026. What postings ask for is evidence: shipped work, judgment about models and evals, and clear communication.

The bootcamp's certificate and capstone are useful signals, and a shipped product is good portfolio material. But hiring managers test you in the interview, not on the certificate. That is why AllthingsPM spends its effort on case studies, mocks and resume fit.

How AllthingsPM does this: instead of a badge, you leave with graded case study artifacts, a resume checked against the JDs you want and interview reps on those same JDs. See how other PMs present that proof in our 455 PM portfolios.

Who is each one for?

  • AllthingsPM is for anyone targeting an AI PM role who wants to learn the skills and rehearse the interviews for real postings, on their own schedule and budget. That covers career switchers, PMs moving into AI and candidates in active loops.
  • The Maven bootcamp is for people who learn best in a live group, want instructor access and a shipped capstone, and ideally have an employer covering the $2,500.

Many readers will find the choice simple: AllthingsPM covers learning and getting hired in one subscription, and the bootcamp covers learning in a live group.

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for AI product management training

The bootcamp and AllthingsPM both teach AI product management, but only one is built around getting you the job.

  • Curriculum from real demand. 14 chapters and 101 lessons compiled from 604 real PM job postings and updated weekly, so you learn what employers list today.
  • Practice on the actual role. Mocks built from any job description, by voice or text, with follow-ups and a score. The bootcamp page lists no mock interviews.
  • The biggest question set we know of for AI companies. 4,122 real questions from 260 companies, each with an answer guide, plus 116 live roles at 18 AI companies.
  • Everything around the application. Resume review against a JD, Resume Job Match, 111 book summaries and 455 PM portfolios.
  • Price and flexibility. $120 a year, or $20 for a month, with a free tier; no cohort dates to wait for.

Marily Nika's bootcamp has genuine strengths: a respected instructor with Google and Meta AI experience, live guest faculty, a large alumni community and a capstone with engineering support. Those are worth paying for when someone else is paying. For most people learning AI product management to get hired, AllthingsPM gives you more of what gets you hired for a fraction of the cost.
