Short answer: for most PM candidates, AllthingsPM is the better value. AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. It builds AI mock interviews from any job description you paste, gives you 4,122 real interview questions from 260 companies with answer guides, and includes a 101 lesson AI PM course, all for $20 a month or $120 a year with a free tier. Land a PM Job is Aakash Gupta's 12 week live coaching cohort: $5,000 in the US (₹1,50,000 in India), with live sessions, 1:1 coaching and an interview guarantee, per its own site on September 28, 2026.
These are two different kinds of product. One is a scheduled, coached program. The other is a tool you open every day for as long as your search takes. The table shows what each gives you.

What is Land a PM Job?
Land a PM Job is a paid coaching cohort run by Aakash Gupta, who writes the Product Growth newsletter (236K+ subscribers on his site) and hosts The Growth Podcast. His site lists past roles leading growth product at Affirm and as VP of Product at Apollo.io.
The program runs 12 weeks, from November 9, 2026 to February 19, 2027 for the next cohort, with 75 seats. Its homepage lists three programs bundled together: a Job Search Core roadmap, a 6 session AI PM course taught by Ankit Virmani (AI PM at Uber, former GPM at Meta), and a 5 session PM Fundamentals track for career changers. Co-coaches listed include Prasad Reddy and Bart Jaworski (former Senior PM at Microsoft).
The site says you keep weekly live lectures, course materials and community access for life, and adds a "Claude Code Job Search OS" of 18 automated skills. The program's own reviews page reports a 92% placement rate and a 4.9/5 average rating across 3 cohorts; that page is published by the program itself, and IGotAnOffer notes independent reviews are still limited because the program is new.
How AllthingsPM does this: instead of a fixed schedule, AllthingsPM gives you the tools on day one. Open the AI PM course, run a JD mock on the role you want, and review your resume against the same posting with resume review, all in the same account.
Is Land a PM Job worth $5,000?
It depends on what you are paying for. The $5,000 buys human time: live sessions, bi-weekly 1:1 coaching and coach reviews of your resume, portfolio and LinkedIn. The site frames it as $11,000 of value "bought separately" and argues a higher salary pays it back.
That argument is reasonable if the coaching is what moves you. But most of what decides an interview is reps: answering product sense, metrics and strategy questions out loud, getting pushed on follow-ups, and fixing the gaps. Learning research supports this. Roediger and Karpicke (2006) found that testing yourself beat re-reading for recall a week later. Reps are exactly what a live cohort rations and what an AI interviewer makes cheap.
So a fair way to decide: if you need someone to hold you accountable and have $5,000 to spend, a cohort can help. If you need hundreds of realistic practice answers before your loop, you get far more of them per dollar from AllthingsPM.
How AllthingsPM does this: every one of our 4,122 question bank pages lets you start a mock in practice, answer by voice or text, get follow-ups and a score, then read the answer guide on the same page. Unlimited mocks come with the $120 yearly plan.
Which gives you better interview practice?
AllthingsPM, on volume and specificity. A cohort includes mock interviews with expert feedback, but coach hours are finite and shared across up to 75 people. An AI interviewer is available at 11pm the night before your onsite.
Specificity matters as much as volume. A Growth PM loop and a Safety PM loop at the same AI lab test different things, and the job description is the best public clue to which. Paste any posting into the JD mock, or pick one of 116 live roles in our jobs catalog, such as Product Manager, Growth at Anthropic, and the interviewer shapes the questions to that role's responsibilities and seniority.
Our question bank also leans toward AI companies, with a hub per company such as Anthropic and OpenAI. For round-by-round technique, the course lesson on the AI product sense and execution rounds walks through what interviewers score.
How AllthingsPM does this: one session screen lets you switch between typing and speaking, and every follow-up is anchored to the question or posting you picked. After the session, the score tells you what to fix before the real loop.
Which is better for AI PM roles?
AllthingsPM. Land a PM Job's AI PM course is 6 sessions inside the cohort, covering topics such as building with AI, prompting and context, and agentic workflows. Aakash Gupta writes that 30% of open PM jobs in 2026 are AI PM roles, so the emphasis is right.
Our AI PM course goes deeper: 14 chapters and 101 lessons built backwards from 604 real PM job postings, updated weekly, with 14 graded case studies. Lessons such as the AI PRD and product sense under ambiguity teach the skills; the knowledge graph maps how the concepts connect. See what the postings ask for in our state of AI PM hiring report.
How AllthingsPM does this: learn a concept in the course, then rehearse it the same day on a live AI company role from the jobs catalog. The loop from lesson to mock takes minutes, not a week between sessions.
What about resumes, job search and portfolios?
Land a PM Job's coaches review your resume, portfolio and LinkedIn, and the cohort teaches job search strategy and negotiation. That human review is a real strength.
AllthingsPM covers the same ground with tools you can rerun as often as you like. Resume review against a JD shows which responsibilities your resume does not yet prove. Resume Job Match finds live roles that fit. PM portfolios shows 455 real examples to model yours on, and book summaries cover the frameworks, such as Decode and Conquer.
How AllthingsPM does this: the free plan includes one JD resume review a day. Tailor the resume, rerun the check, then run a mock on the same posting so your stories and your resume say the same thing.
A 7 day plan with AllthingsPM
- Day 1: pick a real posting and run a free resume review against it. Note the gaps.
- Day 2: run a JD mock on the same posting by voice. Save the follow-ups that caught you out.
- Day 3: study those gaps in the AI PM course or the company's answer guides in the question bank.
- Day 4: answer five questions from the company hub out loud in practice before reading the guides.
- Day 5: a second JD mock on the same posting. Compare scores.
- Day 6: use Resume Job Match to find a similar role and run one mock on it.
- Day 7: review, and write down your three strongest stories.
Most of that week works on the free plan. On a cohort, the same week is typically two or three live sessions plus homework, on the cohort's schedule.
How AllthingsPM does this: every step above is a page in the product, so the plan never waits for a session to start. Upgrade at pricing only once the free JD mock has shown you it helps.
Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for PM interview prep
For most candidates, the choice comes down to cost per useful rep, and AllthingsPM wins it clearly.
- Price: $120 a year against $5,000 for 12 weeks. In India, ₹8,400 a year against ₹1,50,000.
- Practice built from your target role: JD mocks from any posting and 116 live AI company roles with their own mocks.
- Depth of material: 4,122 real questions with answer guides and a 101 lesson AI PM course built from 604 postings, updated weekly.
- Your whole application in one place: resume review against a JD, Resume Job Match, book summaries and 455 PM portfolios.
- No waiting: start tonight, not in November.
Land a PM Job's genuine strengths are live coaching from Aakash Gupta and his co-coaches, accountability and an interview guarantee. If an employer is paying and you want a coach, those matter.
