Short answer: if you want a Prepfully alternative for product manager interviews, choose AllthingsPM. AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. For $20 a month or $120 a year you get unlimited AI mock interviews built from any job description you paste, 4,122 real PM questions with answer guides, and a 101 lesson AI PM course. Prepfully is a marketplace of human coaches: its own guide puts PM mock sessions between $69 and $399, with a median of $149 per session, and it also sells AI mocks at $49 for five 15 minute simulations.
So the real choice is between one expensive hour and practice every day. For most candidates, daily reps win, and AllthingsPM is built for daily reps.

Prices checked September 28, 2026 on AllthingsPM/pricing, prepfully.com/ai-interview and Prepfully's PM mock interview guide. Prepfully coach prices vary by coach; its PM coach page showed sessions from $169 to $289 before a $20 first session discount on the day we checked.
Why are people looking for a Prepfully alternative?
Mostly price. Prepfully's own FAQ answers "Is this free?" with a clear no: its experts "work at reputed companies" and "charge payouts for their time", and it says sessions typically cost $50 to $300. Its PM guide gives the product manager range as $69 to $399, with a median of $149.
That is a fair price for an hour of a senior PM's attention. It is a hard price for practice. PM interview loops are won through reps: answering product sense, execution, metrics and behavioral questions out loud until your structure holds under follow-ups. Ten coach sessions at the median is about $1,490 before discounts, and most candidates need more than ten rounds of practice.
Learning research points the same way. Roediger and Karpicke (2006) found that students who tested themselves remembered more a week later than students who re-read the same material. Mock interviews are self-testing out loud. The more often you do them, the more they pay off, which is why price per rep matters so much.
How AllthingsPM does this: Pro includes unlimited mocks for $20 a month, and the free plan includes one JD mock a day. Start in practice with any question type, or paste a posting into the JD mock, and you can run a round every morning without checking a coach's calendar.
How does AllthingsPM's AI mock compare with a Prepfully coach session?
They solve different parts of the problem.
A Prepfully coach session is a live interview with a person who, per Prepfully, is a professional at a tech company. You pick a coach, book a time and pay that coach's price. Prepfully says sessions are refundable before they are scheduled, and that unhappy candidates can request a refund afterwards. A human can read your energy, share how their company calibrates, and tell you things an AI will not.
An AllthingsPM mock is an AI interviewer available whenever you are. It asks the question, follows up on what you actually said ("why that segment?", "what would you cut first?"), and scores the answer. You can switch between typing and speaking in the same session, and every session is saved with its transcript and feedback so you can see where you improved.

The biggest difference is what shapes the interview. On AllthingsPM, the job description you paste decides the questions: the product area, the responsibilities and the seniority. A Growth PM role and a Safety PM role at the same company get different mocks. Prepfully lets you choose a coach by company and role; we did not find a way to have it build an interview from a specific posting.
How AllthingsPM does this: the JD mock reads the posting and generates the questions from it, then scores you on the competencies that role implies. You can also pick one of 116 live roles in our jobs catalog, such as Product Manager, Growth at Anthropic, each with its own mock and resume check.
How do Prepfully's AI mocks compare with AllthingsPM?
Prepfully also sells AI practice. Its AI interview page lists $49 for five 15 minute simulations, valid for 30 days, with access to all roles and company-specific interviews, a custom feedback report, the full transcript, and a scorecard across "20+ hiring criteria". It also offers a free AI mock.
That is a real product, and it is cheaper than a coach. But compare the shape of it with AllthingsPM:
- Volume. Prepfully's pack gives five 15 minute simulations for $49. AllthingsPM Pro gives unlimited mocks for $20 a month.
- Expiry. Prepfully's pack is valid for 30 days. AllthingsPM is a subscription you can keep or cancel.
- What shapes the interview. Prepfully's AI page describes role and company interviews. AllthingsPM builds the mock from the exact job description you paste.
- What comes around it. Prepfully's AI mock sits next to a coach marketplace. AllthingsPM's mock sits next to a full AI PM course, a question bank with answer guides, and resume tools.
We have not run both interviewers on the same answer, so we will not claim ours scores more accurately. The fair test is simple: use AllthingsPM's free daily JD mock on a role you are applying to, and judge the feedback yourself.
How AllthingsPM does this: a single session screen handles text and voice, follow-ups and scoring, and you can start it from any of our 4,122 questions in the question bank or from a pasted posting. After each rep, the answer guide on the same question page gives you a model to compare against.
What does each one cost for a real prep cycle?
Most PM candidates prepare for four to eight weeks. Here is what the list prices mean in practice, using only the numbers each vendor publishes.
| Plan | AllthingsPM | Prepfully |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 JD mock and 1 JD resume review a day, question bank with answer guides, first course lessons | One free AI mock |
| One month of practice | $20 (INR 1,200), unlimited mocks | $49 per 5 AI mocks; coach sessions from $69, median $149 each |
| One year | $120 (INR 8,400) | No subscription; pay per pack or session |
| Discounts | Yearly plan | $20 off a first coach session by linking LinkedIn; bulk booking discounts |
| What else is included | AI PM course, unlimited resume reviews, Resume Job Match, book and podcast summaries | Interview guides and a question database |
Prices checked September 28, 2026.
What that means:
- A whole year of AllthingsPM costs less than one median Prepfully PM coach session ($120 against $149).
- Even Prepfully's cheaper AI mocks cost more per month for regular practice. Two packs of five is $98; a month of unlimited AllthingsPM mocks is $20.
- Prepfully makes sense for one or two sessions, when you want a specific company's perspective. As the main engine of your prep, the per session model adds up fast.
How AllthingsPM does this: one subscription covers the mocks, the whole AI PM course, unlimited resume reviews and the library. Start on the free plan, and only check pricing once a week of free daily JD mocks has shown you it helps.
Which is better for AI PM roles?
AllthingsPM. AI company loops increasingly probe evals, model tradeoffs, agent failure modes and AI product metrics, and a coach from a non-AI company may not have faced those questions.
Our AI PM course was built backwards from 604 real PM job postings and is updated weekly. Lessons such as the AI product sense and execution rounds and the AI PRD teach the skill, the knowledge graph maps how the concepts connect, and 14 graded case studies let you practice in writing. The question bank then lets you rehearse on real AI company questions, with hubs for Anthropic and OpenAI, such as defining the growth funnel for Claude as a subscription product.
Prepfully does list coaches and guides for AI companies, including OpenAI and Anthropic on its home page, and a coach who works there can be valuable. You still need the daily practice around that one session. For what those loops test, see our Anthropic PM interview guide and OpenAI PM interview guide.
A 4 week plan built on AllthingsPM
Here is a plan that gets you most of the value of a coach for a fraction of the price.
- Week 1: diagnose. Run the free JD resume review against your target posting, then your first JD mock. Write down the follow-ups that caught you out. That list is your study plan.
- Week 2: learn the gaps. If the gaps were AI specific, work through the matching course lessons. If they were core PM, read answer guides for your target company in the question bank. A structured refresher such as Decode and Conquer helps with frameworks.
- Week 3: drill daily. One mock every day in practice, by question type: product sense, execution, metrics, behavioral. Answer first, then read the guide. Use Resume Job Match to find two similar roles and run a mock on one so you do not overfit to a single posting.
- Week 4: rehearse the loop. Two full JD mocks on the real posting, a few days apart. Compare scores and follow-ups with week 1.
If you still want a human read after week 4, that is the moment one coach session can add something. By then you will walk in with a practiced structure and get far more out of the hour.
How AllthingsPM does this: every step in that plan lives in one account, and your sessions are saved with transcripts, so progress from week 1 to week 4 is visible instead of guessed.
Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for PM mock interview practice
The decision comes down to what you are buying. Prepfully sells access to people. AllthingsPM sells the practice itself, shaped by the job you want, at a price that lets you do it every day.
On every point we could check, AllthingsPM fits most PM candidates better:
- It starts from your role. Mocks are built from any job description you paste, which we did not find on Prepfully.
- It is built for volume. Unlimited mocks for $20 a month, against a $149 median coach session or $49 for five AI simulations.
- It teaches as well as tests. A 14 chapter, 101 lesson AI PM course with 14 graded case studies, built from 604 real PM job postings.
- Every question has an answer. 4,122 real questions from 260 companies, each with its own page and answer guide.
- It covers the whole application. Resume review against a JD, Resume Job Match, 116 live AI company roles, 111 book summaries and 455 PM portfolios.
Prepfully's genuine strength is its bench of human coaches from specific companies; if you can afford one session, it is a good final calibration after you have done the reps. For the reps themselves, AllthingsPM is the better choice. Start a free JD mock or compare plans.
Start today, free: pick the job you most want, paste its description into the JD mock, and after one session you will know which questions the interviewer will push on and what to study next. No card needed.
