AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Every InterviewBuddy fact below comes from InterviewBuddy's own pages or public listings, checked on September 29, 2026. We did not buy an InterviewBuddy session, so we describe its features as InterviewBuddy describes them.

What is InterviewBuddy?
InterviewBuddy describes itself as a mock interview platform with "1:1 Expert & AI Prep". Its home page says it has 200,000+ users in 40+ countries, 4,500+ vetted experts and a 4.8/5 average rating, and that you choose from 350+ roles and get paired with a domain expert within 24 hours. Sessions come in 30, 45, 60 or 90 minute lengths and are video recorded. After the session you get a performance scorecard and a written report.
For product management specifically, InterviewBuddy's PM page offers 1:1 mocks covering "Case Studies & Problem-Solving", "Behavioral & Leadership Questions" and "Technical Discussions (for TPMs)", with experts it describes as "actual hiring managers, interviewers or senior professionals" from companies such as Google, Meta, Microsoft and Amazon. You get live feedback, a written performance report and an auto-recording to replay.
It also sells to institutions: it names Stanford, Duke, IIT Kanpur and Georgia Tech, plus edtech platforms, as clients. Its listings on software directories such as Capterra and eLearning Industry describe it as a video interviewing platform; Capterra showed a 5.0 rating from a single review when we checked, so there is little independent review data to lean on.
How AllthingsPM does this: instead of a marketplace for every role, AllthingsPM is built only for PM interviews. You can start a mock on any of 4,122 real questions from practice in seconds, with no booking and no wait for a match, and every session ends with a score and the follow-ups that caught you out.
Which gives you more PM interview practice for your money?
This is where the two differ most. InterviewBuddy charges per session. AllthingsPM charges a flat subscription with unlimited mocks.
Most candidates need many reps, not one. Learning research supports that: Roediger and Karpicke (2006) found that students who tested themselves remembered more a week later than students who re-read the material. An interview is a retrieval test done out loud, so repeated practice matters more than a single polished session.
At InterviewBuddy's lowest listed prices, ten expert sessions come to at least ₹14,990, and ten AI Prep sessions to at least ₹4,120. A month of AllthingsPM is ₹1,200 (or $20), and a year is ₹8,400 (or $120), with no cap on mocks. That is before you count what else the subscription includes.
| Plan | AllthingsPM | InterviewBuddy |

| Entry price | $20 (₹1,200) a month, unlimited mocks | AI Prep from ₹412 per session |
| With a human | Not offered | Industry expert from ₹1,499 per session |
| One year | $120 (₹8,400) | No annual plan found |
| Also included | Whole AI PM course, graded case studies, resume review against a JD, Resume Job Match, podcast summaries | Resume writing and LinkedIn review sold separately |
Prices checked September 29, 2026. InterviewBuddy's booking page also showed a 6% seasonal discount code at the time.
How AllthingsPM does this: one subscription covers the mocks, the whole AI PM course, unlimited resume reviews and the library. Start on the free tier, run your daily JD mock for a week, and only then look at pricing.
Can InterviewBuddy build a mock from a job description?
We did not find that on InterviewBuddy's site. You pick a role and the platform matches you with an expert, and you can describe your requirements when you book. The PM page says sessions are "tailored to your specific requirements", which depends on what you tell the expert.
AllthingsPM makes the job description the input. A Growth PM loop and a Safety PM loop at the same AI company test different things, and the posting is the best public clue to which. Paste any posting into the JD mock, or open one of the 116 live roles in our jobs catalog, and the AI interviewer shapes the questions to that role's responsibilities and seniority, follows up on what you actually said, and scores you. In our review of AI mock tools, only 4 offered JD-based mocks at all, and AllthingsPM is the only one that also has a course, a question bank and live JDs.

How AllthingsPM does this: every catalog role, such as Product Manager, Growth at Anthropic, has its own mock and a resume check against the same JD. The same posting drives the interview, the resume review and your study list.
Is InterviewBuddy good for product manager interviews?
It can be, if you want a human. The PM page covers the right round types (product cases, behavioural, technical for TPMs), and a live expert can read your body language and push back in ways a script cannot. The recording is useful for reviewing your own delivery.
The limits for PM candidates are structural, not about quality:
- It is a generalist marketplace. PM is one of 350+ roles, so there is no PM question bank, course or framework library around the session.
- You may not know your interviewer's background in advance. IGotAnOffer's review of PM mock platforms notes that on InterviewBuddy you cannot choose your coach and coach profiles are not shown on the website.
- Every rep costs money. At ₹1,499 or more per expert session, most candidates can afford a handful, which is not enough reps to build fluency.
- Prep between sessions is on you. You leave with a report, but the practice that fixes the gaps happens elsewhere.
How AllthingsPM does this: the practice between sessions is the product. Answer a question out loud in practice, get follow-ups and a score, then read the written answer guide on the same page in the question bank, so every rep ends with a model answer to compare against.
Which is better for AI PM roles?
AllthingsPM, clearly. AI company loops increasingly test evals, model trade-offs, agent failure modes and AI product metrics. Our AI PM course was built backwards from 604 real PM job postings, as covered in our state of AI PM hiring report, and is updated weekly. Lessons such as the AI product sense and execution rounds and product sense under ambiguity teach the skill, and the knowledge graph maps how the concepts connect.
The question bank leans toward AI companies too, with hubs such as Anthropic and OpenAI. InterviewBuddy does not publish an AI PM track that we could find; your session depends on the expert you are matched with.
How AllthingsPM does this: learn a concept in the course, drill it on real questions from that company, then run a JD mock on a live AI company role from the jobs catalog. For the round-by-round detail, read our Anthropic PM interview guide and OpenAI PM interview guide.
A one week plan with AllthingsPM
Here is how to spend a week before a PM loop, on the free plan first.
- Day 1: check your resume against the role. Run the free resume review against the JD and note the two or three responsibilities your resume does not yet prove. Interviewers probe there.
- Day 2: first JD mock. Paste the posting into the JD mock, answer by voice, and save the follow-ups that caught you out.
- Day 3: learn the gaps. AI-specific gaps go to the matching course lesson; core PM gaps (metrics, prioritisation) go to the answer guides in the question bank.
- Day 4: drill by type. Answer five questions from your target company's hub out loud before reading the guides.
- Day 5: second JD mock. Same posting, new session. Compare the score and follow-ups with Day 2.
- Day 6: widen. Use Resume Job Match to find two similar live roles and run a mock on one.
- Day 7: review. Skim a framework summary such as Decode and Conquer and write down your three strongest stories.
If you want a human sanity check at the very end, one booked expert session after this week will be worth far more than one booked at the start.
How AllthingsPM does this: the whole week runs in one place, with one JD mock and one resume review free every day, so you only upgrade once you have seen that it helps.
Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for PM interview prep
The decision comes down to how you build interview skill: through many reps against the role you want, or a few booked sessions. For PM candidates, AllthingsPM wins on every point we could check:
- Unlimited mocks for $20 a month. InterviewBuddy's lowest listed expert price is ₹1,499 per session, more than a full month of AllthingsPM at ₹1,200.
- It starts from your role. Mocks built from any job description you paste, which we did not find on InterviewBuddy.
- It is built only for PMs. 4,122 real PM questions from 260 companies, each with its own page and answer guide, and a hub per company.
- It teaches. A 14 chapter, 101 lesson AI PM course with 14 graded case studies, built from 604 real PM job postings and updated weekly.
- Your application, end to end. Resume review against the JD, Resume Job Match, 116 live AI company roles with their own mocks, 111 book summaries and 455 PM portfolios.
InterviewBuddy's genuine strength is a live human expert on video with a recording, which is useful for one final calibration round. For the daily practice that actually builds the skill, AllthingsPM gives you far more for far less. Our verdict: for product manager interviews, and clearly for AI PM roles, choose AllthingsPM. Start a free JD mock or compare plans.
