Short answer: if you want a Product Gym alternative, AllthingsPM is the one to start with. It gives you AI mock interviews built from any job description you paste, with follow-ups and a score, plus an AI PM course, 4,122 real questions from 260 companies with answer guides, and resume review against a JD, for $20 a month or $120 a year, with a free tier. Product Gym is a career coaching program for aspiring PMs whose tuition is listed at around $6,000 on bootcamp review sites. That is 50 years of AllthingsPM's yearly plan.
AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Product Gym's own site (productgym.io) returned a server error when we tried it on September 29, 2026, so the Product Gym facts below come from Course Report, SwitchUp, Career Karma and member threads on Blind, each linked in the Sources.

What is Product Gym, and what is it good at?
Product Gym describes itself, in Career Karma's listing, as a career coaching program that helps aspiring tech professionals move into product management or QA. Course Report lists two tracks: a 12 week Product Management program and a 15 week QA (SDET) program, with members spending 7 to 10 hours a week. SwitchUp and Career Karma list the PM program as 6 weeks, so the length depends on which listing you read.
The model is in the name. A Blind member explained it this way: "The course is self-paced and the live classes are cycled. There's really 'no cohorts'." The same member said the time commitment is "whatever you make out of it" and that Product Gym helps with resume reviews and mock interviews, but that "more importantly they teach you how to help yourself." Career Karma adds "regular small group coaching calls", "mock interview partners" and resume, cover letter and LinkedIn help from PM professionals.
Product Gym's real strength is human support. SwitchUp shows a 4.96 rating from 471 reviews and Course Report shows 4.95 from 394, and reviewers keep coming back to the community and coaching. If you are changing careers from far outside tech and want people to hold you to a job search plan, that matters.
How AllthingsPM does this: we give you the practice and the learning without the program fee. You get a structured AI PM course, an AI interviewer in practice for any question, and the JD mock for the exact role you want. You set your own pace, like Product Gym's "gym mentality", but you can do a rep any time, not only when a partner is free.
Which is better for mock interviews?
For mock interview reps, AllthingsPM. Mock interviews improve you through repetition and specific feedback, and the bottleneck with human or peer mocks is scheduling. An AI interviewer removes it.
On AllthingsPM, a mock works like this:
- Pick a question from the question bank, or paste a job description into the JD mock.
- Answer by typing or speaking; you can switch modes in the same session.
- The interviewer follows up on what you actually said ("why that segment?", "what would you cut?").
- You get a score and specific notes on what to fix, then read the answer guide for the same question.
Product Gym's mock interviews, per the listings, come from partners and coaches inside its community. That gives you human feedback, which has real value. It also means you practice when someone else is available, not the night before your loop.
The job description part matters more than it sounds. A Growth PM loop and a Safety PM loop at the same AI company test different things, and the posting is the best public clue to which. AllthingsPM's jobs catalog holds 116 live PM roles at 18 AI companies, each with its own mock, such as Product Manager, Growth at Anthropic. We did not find a job-description mock in any Product Gym listing.

How AllthingsPM does this: every one of our 4,122 questions has a page where you can start a mock and then read a written answer guide, so each rep ends with a model answer. For company focus, open a hub such as Google or Anthropic and run mocks on that company's real questions.
How much does each cost?
This is where the choice gets simple for most people.

| Monthly | $20 (INR 1,200) | Installments offered; amounts not published in the listings |

Prices checked September 29, 2026.
What that means in practice:
- A year of AllthingsPM costs $120. At $6,000, Product Gym's listed tuition would pay for 50 years of it.
- You can try AllthingsPM before you pay anything. The free tier gives you a real JD mock every day. Product Gym is selective, and Course Report says it accepts about 10% of applicants.
- Product Gym bundles people. Coaches, partners and a community are what its price buys. If you need that, it is the reason the number is higher.
How AllthingsPM does this: one subscription covers the mocks, the full AI PM course, unlimited resume reviews and the library. Start on the free tier, then check pricing once the free daily JD mock has shown you it helps.
Which is better for AI PM roles?
AllthingsPM, clearly. AI company loops now test evals, model tradeoffs, agent failure modes and AI product metrics. Our AI PM course was built backwards from 604 real PM job postings, as covered in our state of AI PM hiring report, and it is updated weekly.
Lessons such as the AI product sense and execution rounds and product sense under ambiguity teach the skills. The knowledge graph maps how the AI concepts connect. Then the jobs catalog lets you rehearse on real roles at AI companies.
None of the Product Gym listings we read describe an AI product management track. Its PM program is aimed at breaking into product management in general.
How AllthingsPM does this: read a lesson, then test it straight away. After the product sense round lesson, answer AI product sense interview questions out loud in practice, and finish the week with a JD mock on a live AI role.
What about resumes and the job search?
Product Gym includes resume, cover letter and LinkedIn help from PM professionals, per Career Karma. That is a genuine plus for career changers who do not know how to frame past work.
AllthingsPM covers the same ground with tools you can run any time:
- Resume review against a JD: checks your resume against the specific posting and shows which responsibilities you have not yet proven.
- Resume Job Match: finds live roles that fit your background.
- PM portfolios: 455 real PM portfolios to see how others present their work.
- Book summaries: 111 summaries, including interview classics like Decode and Conquer.
How AllthingsPM does this: the resume review and the JD mock read the same posting. The gaps the review finds are usually the places the interviewer will probe, so you fix the resume and rehearse the answer in the same hour.
A 7 day plan to replace a bootcamp week with AllthingsPM
Here is a week you can run mostly on the free plan. Pick one real posting, for example from the jobs catalog.
- Day 1: run the free JD resume review against the posting and write down the two or three gaps.
- Day 2: run your first JD mock on the same posting, answering by voice. Save the follow-ups that caught you out.
- Day 3: study the gaps in the matching AI PM course lesson, or in the answer guides in the question bank.
- Day 4: answer five questions from the company hub out loud in practice before reading each guide.
- Day 5: run a second JD mock and compare the score with Day 2.
- Day 6: use Resume Job Match to find two similar roles and run a mock on one.
- Day 7: review your three strongest stories and rest.
That is the "gym" idea, done daily and on demand. For more ways to structure prep, see our guide to the best PM mock interview platforms and our comparison with Product School.
Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for PM interview prep
If you are looking for a Product Gym alternative, you probably want the outcome Product Gym promises (a PM offer) without its price or its admission filter. AllthingsPM fits that on every point we could check:

- It is always available. The AI interviewer takes text or voice, follows up and scores you whenever you have 20 minutes.

- It costs about 2% as much. $120 a year against Product Gym tuition listed at around $6,000, with a free tier to start.
Product Gym's genuine strength is its human coaches and member community, which some career changers value; for the daily interview practice that turns into offers, AllthingsPM gives you more reps for a fraction of the price.
