How much does Product School cost compared with AllthingsPM?
Product School's pricing page lists three ways to pay. A Single Certification is $2,999 one-time for "1 live, instructor-led certification course". Pro Membership is $3,999 a year for 2 courses, plus weekly live AI workshops, on-demand content and the alumni community. Unlimited Membership is $4,999 a year for 10 courses, and adds a ProductCon ticket and access to AI tools. Product School also mentions installment plans in some regions, employer sponsorship and 10% off single certifications for groups of 3 to 10.
AllthingsPM is $20 a month or $120 a year, or INR 1,200 a month and INR 8,400 a year in India. The free tier includes the question bank and answer guides, the first course lessons, one JD mock and one JD resume review a day.
Put simply:
- One Product School certification costs the same as about 25 years of AllthingsPM at the yearly price.
- Per live hour, the AI certification works out to about $250 ($2,999 across 12 live hours). Uxcel's review of Product School's general certification also flagged cost per instruction hour, at "$100+ per hour".
- Product School's cheapest route to its AI certification is still $2,999. AllthingsPM's cheapest route is free.
How AllthingsPM does this: one subscription covers everything, so you are not paying once to learn and again to practise. Start on the free tier, open the first lessons of the AI PM course, and only look at pricing once you know it helps.
What does each one actually teach about AI product management?
Product School's AI certification is a focused, practical course. Its six modules cover an AI-first product mindset and prompting, AI opportunity validation and feasibility, model harness specification, AI-native UX, agentic systems and workflows, and measuring AI quality with evals. It includes 18 labs, 6 artifacts and a final project: an end-to-end AI product spec with an evaluation framework. It assumes you already have PM experience and points beginners to its foundations certification first. That is a sensible syllabus.
AllthingsPM covers the same ground in far more depth, because the course was built from what employers ask for. We collected 604 real PM job postings and built the curriculum backwards from what they demand, as described in our state of AI PM hiring report. The result is 14 chapters and 101 lessons, including:
- Evals: define good and make the number defensible, plus multimodal evals.
- Agents and agentic architecture, including inside the harness: the loop, retries and stop conditions.
- The AI PRD: risks, guardrails and success metrics before you build.
- Trust, safety and agent security, and proving it paid off with outcomes and pricing.
- Getting the job: the product sense and execution rounds.
The course is updated weekly as new AI PM postings appear, so topics such as harness engineering land in the course when employers start asking for them. Every concept is mapped in a free knowledge graph, so you can see how evals connect to PRDs and agents.

How AllthingsPM does this: each of the 14 chapters ends in a graded case study, so you practise the skill, not just read about it. If you want one topic first, start with our free guides to AI evals for product managers and agents vs workflows, then open the matching chapter.
Which one prepares you for the interview?
This is the biggest gap between the two. A certification teaches skills; it does not rehearse the loop. Product School's AI certification page does not list mock interviews, a question bank or resume review as part of the course.
AllthingsPM is built around the interview:
- Mocks from any job description. Paste a posting into the JD mock and an AI interviewer shapes the interview to that role, follows up on weak spots and scores you, by text or voice.
- 4,122 real questions from 260 companies in the question bank, each with its own page and answer guide, and a hub per company such as OpenAI and Anthropic.
- 116 live AI company roles in the jobs catalog, such as Product Manager, API Agents at OpenAI or Product Lead, AI/ML (Evals) at Abridge, each with its own mock.
- Resume review against a JD in JD resume review, so your resume proves what the posting asks for.
In our review of AI mock tools, only 4 offered mocks built from a job description at all, and AllthingsPM is the only one we found that also has a course, a question bank and live JDs.
How AllthingsPM does this: the course teaches a skill, the question bank shows how companies ask about it, and the JD mock makes you say it out loud against a real posting. Try a question like how you would design an evaluation framework for enterprise agents, then compare your answer with the guide on the same page.
Is a Product School certificate worth it for getting hired?
A certificate helps as a signal, but it does not replace proof. Product School says its certification comes with an "industry-recognized credential", and its reviews are strong: 4.8 out of 5 from 220 reviews on Course Report when we checked. Uxcel's review notes that Product School does not publish placement rates, and quotes one reviewer who wished they had chosen an option "at the fraction of the cost".
Hiring managers look at what you can do: your answers in the loop, your case work and your resume against the posting. We cover this in detail in are product management certifications worth it and is an AI PM certification worth it in 2026.
How AllthingsPM does this: instead of a badge, you leave with 14 graded case studies you can talk through, and dozens of scored mock answers. If you want a portfolio to go with them, browse 455 real PM portfolios for formats that work.
Which fits your schedule?
Product School runs cohorts. The AI certification meets for 2 hour sessions, typically Tuesdays and Thursdays or Saturdays, over 3 weeks, with about 20 students per class. If you miss the start date, you wait for the next cohort. For some people the fixed schedule and live instructor are exactly what keep them going, and that is Product School's real strength.
AllthingsPM is self-paced and starts the moment you sign up. Do a lesson on your commute, a mock at night, and a resume review the day a posting goes live. Nothing expires when a cohort ends; your plan runs as long as you keep it.
How AllthingsPM does this: the free tier gives you one JD mock and one JD resume review every day, so a daily habit costs nothing. When a role you want opens in the jobs catalog, you can practise for it the same evening.
A two week plan that replaces the certification
Here is how we would use AllthingsPM in place of a 3 week cohort:
- Days 1 to 3: foundations. Work through the first chapters of the AI PM course, about 45 minutes a day.
- Days 4 to 6: evals. Take the Evals chapter and its case study. Then answer two eval questions from the question bank out loud before reading the guides.
- Days 7 to 9: agents and the PRD. Read inside the harness and write an AI PRD for a product you use.
- Day 10: pick a real role. Choose a posting from the jobs catalog and run the free JD resume review against it.
- Days 11 to 13: rehearse. Run a JD mock on that role each day. Save the follow-ups that caught you out and study them.
- Day 14: review. Skim a summary such as Decode and Conquer and write down your three strongest stories.
Total cost on the free tier: $0. On the monthly plan: $20. Compare that with $2,999 for one Product School certification.
