What is the real difference between AllthingsPM and Reforge?
The two products answer different questions.
Reforge answers "how do I get better at the craft of product and growth work?" Its membership, per its help center, gives you 40+ on-demand courses, a live course each season, guides, artifacts (templates and real work examples) and a Slack community of practitioners. The catalog now spans AI topics such as evaluations, prototyping and strategy, alongside its long running product and growth programs.
AllthingsPM answers "how do I become a strong AI product manager and get hired as one?" The AI PM course teaches the skills AI roles ask for, and the rest of the product turns that knowledge into interview performance: practice on real questions, mocks shaped to the job you want, and a resume checked against that job.
If your employer pays for Reforge and you already have the role you want, the library is a fine place to browse. If you are paying yourself, or you want a new or better PM role, the second question is usually the one that matters.
How AllthingsPM does this: start with the free foundations lesson on the AI PM role, then jump to Get the job: the AI PM interview loop. The course and the prep tools sit in the same account, so a lesson on evals can lead straight to a real evals interview question.
Which is better for learning AI product management?
AllthingsPM, if AI PM is your goal. Reforge covers AI as one topic among many; AllthingsPM is built around it.
The AllthingsPM curriculum came from the job market. We read 604 real PM job postings, pulled out what they ask for, and wrote the course against that list, as shown in our state of AI PM hiring report. That is why chapters cover things like evals, discovery and strategy for AI products and proving an AI feature paid off. The course is updated weekly as postings change, and 14 graded case studies make you do the work rather than only read about it.
Reforge's strength here is breadth and live teaching. It runs cohorts with instructors, and its catalog includes AI topics next to growth, marketing and engineering. That is useful if you manage a team across many functions. The trade is that you pay for the whole library to get the AI part, and Reforge's help center describes it as a membership, not single course purchases.
The concepts behind AI product work are also mapped in our knowledge graph, so you can see how evals, agents and model tradeoffs connect before you pick a lesson. We compared courses in more depth in what AI PM courses teach vs what AI PM jobs want.
How AllthingsPM does this: every lesson is tied to skills that show up in real postings. Open the AI PM course, read the first lessons free, and use the graded case studies to check you can apply each chapter, not just recall it.
Does Reforge help you prepare for PM interviews?
Not directly, based on what Reforge publishes. Its help center lists courses, a live course each season, guides, artifacts and the Slack community as membership benefits. We did not find mock interviews, an interview question bank or resume review in that list or on the pricing page.
This is the biggest gap for anyone job hunting. Knowing a framework is not the same as saying it clearly in forty minutes while an interviewer pushes back.
AllthingsPM is built for exactly that moment:
- JD mock: paste any job description and an AI interviewer builds the interview around that role, asks follow-ups on what you actually said, and scores you. Text or voice. Only 4 tools we found do JD-based mocks, and AllthingsPM is the only one that also has a course, a question bank and live JDs.
- Question bank: 4,122 real questions from 260 companies, each with its own page and answer guide, and a hub per company.
- Practice: answer any question out loud and get follow-ups and a score.
- Resume review against a JD: see which parts of the posting your resume does not yet prove.
For a walk through the feature, see mock interviews from any job description.
How AllthingsPM does this: one session screen lets you switch between typing and speaking, and every follow-up is anchored to the job or question you picked. You finish with a score and a list of the questions that caught you out, which becomes your study list in the course.

The math is simple. Reforge's Individual plan costs as much as about 16 years of AllthingsPM. Reforge also has no monthly option listed, so you commit to a full year up front. AllthingsPM lets you try the free tier, pay $20 for a single month during a job search, or take the year for $120.
Where Reforge makes more sense on price is a company buying seats. Its Starter plan works out to about $1,000 a seat for 10 people, with admin tools and engagement reporting, which suits a learning and development budget.
How AllthingsPM does this: one subscription covers the whole AI PM course, unlimited mocks and resume reviews, and the library of book and podcast summaries. Start free, and check pricing only after the free daily JD mock has shown you it helps.
What changed at Reforge after Miro bought it?
On March 24, 2026, Miro announced it had acquired Reforge, including its team, learning platform and AI product development tools. Reforge CEO Brian Balfour became Miro's Chief Growth Officer, and COO Tom Willerer became Chief Strategy Officer. Miro cited more than 100,000 Reforge Learning alumni.
Reforge's own post said Reforge Learning stays a separate brand on reforge.com, with no pricing changes planned and no Miro account needed, while its Insights, Research and Build products move into Miro's Product Acceleration offering. Balfour wrote that Reforge plans "additional courses across our existing topics of AI, product, and growth as well as new topics."
For a learner, little has changed so far: the same annual membership is on sale. If the news prompted you to look around before renewing, it is a good time to ask what you actually used last year.
How AllthingsPM does this: AllthingsPM does one job, making you a stronger AI product manager and getting you hired, and the course is rewritten as the job changes, with lessons added or retired weekly from real postings.
Which should you pick for your situation?
AllthingsPM first, in almost every individual case:
