How much do Reforge and Product School cost in 2026?

Reforge lists four plans [1]:

  • Individual, $1,995 a year: one seat with live courses, 40+ on-demand courses, 600+ guides and 1,400+ artifacts.
  • Starter, $9,995 a year: 10 seats with admin and engagement reporting.
  • Scale, $23,995 a year: 30 seats with dedicated customer success.
  • Enterprise, custom: 50+ seats, SAML SSO and private events.

Product School lists three plans for individuals [5]:

  • Single Certification, $2,999: one live, instructor-led course.
  • Pro, $3,999 a year: two live certifications a year, weekly AI workshops, on-demand access and the alumni community.
  • Unlimited, $4,999 a year: ten live certifications, a ProductCon ticket and AI tool perks Product School values at over $50,000.

So for one person, Reforge is the cheaper of the two if you want a full year of material. Product School is cheaper only if you take exactly one course, and even then it is $1,004 more than a year of Reforge.

How AllthingsPM does this: one plan, $20 a month or $120 a year, with everything included: the AI PM course, mock interviews from any job description, the question bank and the resume tools. The free tier covers the question bank, the first course lessons and one JD mock and one JD resume review a day. See pricing.

What is the format of each program?

Reforge is mostly a library you read at your own pace. Its live courses sit inside cohorts that "typically last between 4 & 6 weeks," with one 90 minute live session a week that is recorded and uploaded [2]. The sessions work through case studies built on the written course material, led by instructors and industry experts [2].

Product School is live first. Its AI Product Management certification runs 3 weeks part-time, Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pacific, 12 live hours in total, with about 20 students per class, 18 hands-on labs, 6 artifacts and 1 graded final project [4]. Start dates roll throughout the year [5].

The trade-off is clear. Reforge gives you breadth and depth over a year but little structure unless you join a live course. Product School gives you a short, scheduled sprint with an instructor, but only 12 live hours per $2,999 certification [4][5].

How AllthingsPM does this: the course is self-paced but structured: 14 chapters and 101 lessons in order, from the AI PM role through to the AI PRD and the product sense and execution rounds, with 14 graded case studies. Instead of waiting for a Tuesday session, you practise out loud whenever you want with an AI interviewer that follows up and scores you.

Which one is more credible to employers?

Neither Reforge nor Product School is an accredited degree. Reforge states plainly that it "is not an accredited institution and therefore does not provide official certification," though it does issue certificates of completion for finished courses [3]. For live courses you must complete all material and attend every weekly session or watch the recording within 72 hours [3].

Product School awards what it calls an "industry-recognized credential" and a shareable badge on completion [4]. It reports 20,901+ graduates and a 4.8 rating from 1,709+ ratings on its AI certification page [4], and says alumni report an average salary increase of $15,045 after certification [5]. Those are Product School's own figures from its own students, not an independent study.

Reforge's credibility comes from its content and customers: it says it serves 1K+ product teams, with members at companies such as OpenAI, Notion and Coinbase [6]. Many PMs value it for the frameworks, not the certificate.

What actually convinces a hiring manager is how you perform in the loop. Community threads comparing the two often land on the same advice: both are worth it mainly when an employer pays [7][8].

How AllthingsPM does this: we skip the badge and focus on the proof that gets offers: answers you have rehearsed against the real posting, a portfolio of graded case studies, and a resume checked against the job. Browse 455 PM portfolios to see how strong candidates show their work, then check your resume against a JD.

What does each teach about AI product management?

Reforge lists AI topics including AI Transformation, AI Evals, AI Prototyping, AI Strategy and AI Productivity alongside its product foundations [6]. Product School now brands itself around AI builders and offers ten certifications, including AI Product Management, AI Evals, Agentic Workflows and Loops, Claude Code for PMs and Vibe Coding [9].

Both are responding to the same shift, but both design curricula top-down from instructors' experience. The risk is teaching what was true when the course was recorded.

How AllthingsPM does this: the AI PM course is built bottom-up from 604 real PM job postings and updated weekly, so topics like evals, agents and AI PRDs are weighted by how often employers ask for them. Every lesson links into the knowledge graph of AI PM concepts, and our guide to AI evals for product managers shows the depth.

Who should pick Reforge, and who should pick Product School?

Reforge fits an experienced PM whose company pays and who will actually use a year of material; its operator-written guides are genuinely deep [1][6]. Product School fits someone who wants a live instructor and a credential for LinkedIn, ideally funded by an employer [4][5].

For everyone paying their own way, or anyone whose goal is the next PM job rather than the next framework, AllthingsPM is the better buy. It costs less than one month of either, covers AI PM skills, and adds the interview practice both lack.

How AllthingsPM does this: pick a role from the 116 live AI company PM jobs, such as Product Manager, Growth at Anthropic, and you get the JD, a mock interview built from it and a resume check against it. Then drill company questions in the question bank.

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for Reforge vs Product School

Reforge and Product School both sell learning. AllthingsPM sells learning plus the job. That is the decision in one line.

On price, AllthingsPM is $120 a year against $1,995 for Reforge and $2,999 for a single Product School certification [1][5]. You could pay for 16 years of AllthingsPM for the cost of one year of Reforge, or 24 years for one Product School certification.

On what you learn, our AI PM course is compiled from 604 real PM job postings, with 14 chapters, 101 lessons and 14 graded case studies, updated weekly. That is a curriculum shaped by what employers are hiring for right now.

On what you practise, neither rival offers interview rehearsal. AllthingsPM builds a mock interview from any job description, asks follow-ups by text or voice and scores you, and gives you 4,122 real questions from 260 companies, each with an answer guide.

On getting hired, AllthingsPM adds 116 live AI company PM roles, resume review against a JD, Resume Job Match, 111 book summaries and 455 portfolios.

To be fair to both rivals: Reforge has a respected operator-written library, and Product School has live instructors and a well-known certificate. If your employer is paying, either can sit alongside AllthingsPM. If you are paying, or you want an offer, start with AllthingsPM.
