Best Voice AI Interview Practice Tools for PMs (2026)

The best voice AI interview practice tool for product managers is AllthingsPM: speak your answers to an AI interviewer that follows up and scores you on a PM rubric, built from any job description, free once a day and $20 a month for unlimited mocks.

AllthingsPM·September 28, 2026·16 min read
A product manager at a desk late at night answers out loud to a laptop, a printed job description covered in handwritten notes and a kitchen timer beside her
PM interviews are spoken. The practice should be too.

The best voice AI interview practice tool for product managers is AllthingsPM. You speak your answer, the AI interviewer asks a follow-up on what you actually said, and you get a score on a PM rubric, in a mock built from the exact job description you applied for. One mock a day is free, voice included, and unlimited mocks cost $20 a month. Add Yoodli if your delivery (pace, clarity) is the weak spot, and Tough Tongue AI or Aced (formerly Exponent) if you want a second voice interviewer.

AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Competitor details below come from each vendor's own pages, checked in September 2026.

How AllthingsPM does this. Open a mock interview, pick the interview type, a level from APM to Group PM and a length of 15, 30 or 45 minutes, then flip the Type or Voice switch. The app remembers your choice, so if you practice out loud once, the next session starts in voice too.

Why practice PM interviews by voice at all?

Because the real interview is a conversation, and typed practice hides the problems that sink spoken answers. When you type, you can pause, reorder and delete. When you speak, a two-minute ramble with no structure is exactly what the interviewer hears.

Three things only show up out loud:

  • Structure under time pressure. Can you state your approach in the first minute, before you drift into solutions?
  • Recovery from a follow-up. A real interviewer interrupts with "Your budget was just cut, what do you drop?" You have seconds, not minutes.
  • Length. Most candidates talk longer than they think. A spoken transcript shows it immediately.

There is evidence that practicing with a responsive virtual interviewer helps. In a controlled study, people trained with a virtual interviewer that gave real-time feedback performed better in later mock interviews and felt less anxious than a control group [13].

How AllthingsPM does this. Our interviewer listens to your spoken answer and then asks the follow-up a panel would ask, based on your words, not on a fixed script. Every mock is saved with its transcript and score, so after a voice round you can read exactly where you rambled and where the follow-up caught you. Our course lesson on the AI product sense and execution rounds walks through a forty-minute round out loud.

What should a voice AI interviewer do for a PM candidate?

Use these five tests. They matter roughly in this order.

1. Follow up on what you said. A voice tool that reads the next question off a list is a recording booth. The useful ones react to your answer: PMMockr, Tough Tongue AI, Yoodli and Final Round AI all describe follow-ups [1][7][10][12], and so does AllthingsPM.

2. Score the product thinking, not only the voice. Delivery tools grade pace and clarity [11]. PM interviewers need to grade whether you defined the user, picked a metric and named trade-offs. Aced scores communication, problem solving and structured thinking after its audio sessions [3].

3. Run full-length rounds. A real product sense round runs well past ten minutes. Aced's AI sessions last 10 to 20 minutes [3]; AllthingsPM offers 15, 30 or 45.

4. Practice the role you applied for. Only a few tools build a mock from a pasted job description. We could confirm it for AllthingsPM, Final Round AI [12] and Huru [14].

5. Price that does not punish long answers. Minute-metered plans quietly limit how many full rounds you can do. On Tough Tongue AI's Starter plan, 150 minutes is about five 30-minute mocks [8].

How AllthingsPM does this. All five tests pass in one screen: follow-ups on your words, a rubric per interview type, rounds up to 45 minutes, questions shaped by the job description in the JD mock, and a flat $20 a month with no minute meter.

The voice AI interview tools, ranked

1. AllthingsPM: best overall voice practice for PM interviews

AllthingsPM runs spoken or typed mock interviews with an AI interviewer that asks, follows up and scores. The JD mock is the core: paste any job description and the questions come from that role's responsibilities, product area and seniority. The jobs catalog holds 116 live PM roles at 18 AI companies with a ready mock each; there is even a Product Manager, Voice role at Sierra you can rehearse against out loud.

The AllthingsPM JD mock page, headed "Rehearse the interview you're actually walking into", with a Start a JD interview button and four features: questions from the real role, a full timed mock, scored like a panel, and a saved record
The JD mock on AllthingsPM, where you can answer by voice or text, September 2026

Behind the mocks sits the rest of your prep: 4,122 real questions from 260 companies in the question bank, each with its own page and answer guide, an AI PM course built from 604 real PM job postings (14 chapters, 101 lessons, 14 graded case studies), and a resume review against the same JD. Free: one JD mock and one resume review a day. Pro is $20 a month or $120 a year. It does not coach vocal delivery or offer human interviewers.

2. PMMockr: free generic voice reps

PMMockr lets you answer PM cases by voice or text against a timer and get a report on what you covered and missed [1]. Its free plan allows unlimited mocks on its free question set; premium company banks cost ₹2,700 for three months [2]. A good free supplement, but we found no JD-based mocks, so for the role you applied to, AllthingsPM is the better voice tool.

3. Aced (formerly Exponent): short audio mocks inside a big library

Aced connects you "via audio to an AI mock interviewer" for 10 to 20 minutes on a randomly assigned PM or behavioral question, and the feature is labelled beta [3]. AI feedback and transcripts need a paid membership: $99 a month, or $20 a month billed annually [4]. Aced has a large course library and peer community; for longer spoken rounds built from your JD, AllthingsPM is stronger. See AllthingsPM vs Exponent.

4. Tough Tongue AI: realistic voice, billed by the minute

Tough Tongue AI's interview practice pushes back like a live interviewer and includes a PM track [7]. After 25 free minutes, Starter is $20 a month for 150 minutes, with overage at about $0.13 a minute [8]. AllthingsPM gives unlimited mocks for the same $20.

5. PM Interview Prep Club: India membership with a voice allowance

AI mocks, a question bank and community for ₹1,999 a month, with 60 minutes of AI voice a month [9][10]. AllthingsPM is ₹1,200 a month with no voice cap.

6. Yoodli: best for how you sound

Yoodli runs AI roleplays with follow-ups and gives feedback on "pace, clarity, and other noticeable presentation areas" [11]. The Starter tier gives 5 lifetime sessions; Pro is $8 a month billed annually for up to 10 roleplays a week, and Advanced is $20 a month billed annually for unlimited [6]. It is not PM-specific, so use it next to AllthingsPM, not instead of it.

7. Huru and Final Round AI: general tools with JD input

Huru builds questions from a pasted JD and gives video playback and tone feedback, at $24.99 a month or $99 a year [14]. Final Round AI takes a JD and resume, includes a Product Case scenario and starts at $150 a month, or $25 a month billed annually [12]. Both are built for every job family; AllthingsPM is built for PM loops and costs less month to month.

8. ChatGPT Voice and Gemini Live: free, but you are the interview designer

ChatGPT's voice mode is available to free accounts on a smaller model, with usage limits [5]. Google now suggests Gemini Live to "simulate a real-time, conversational interview" [15]. Both can hold a spoken conversation, but you write the prompt, the rubric and the question list each time, and chat models lean toward agreeing with you: OpenAI rolled back a 2025 GPT-4o update for being sycophantic [17]. Our ChatGPT vs AllthingsPM comparison covers the trade-off.

How AllthingsPM does this. The difference in the ranking comes down to one line: AllthingsPM is the only voice tool in this list that is PM-specific, builds a mock from any JD, includes voice on its free tier and charges a flat $20 a month. Check it in two minutes on the JD mock, no card needed.

How do you get the most out of voice AI practice?

Speak before you read. Answer a question out loud first, then open its answer guide. Reading first turns practice into recitation.

Start with 15 minutes, finish at 45. Short rounds find your weak interview type. Full rounds test stamina and follow-up recovery.

Mix the question types your target company asks. Company hubs such as Google and Anthropic show real questions. For AI roles, rehearse ones like design a low-latency voice agent experience that feels genuinely human out loud, and read our AI PM interview questions guide.

Reread the transcript, change one thing. After each spoken mock, pick the single habit to fix, such as naming the user in the first minute, and rerun the same question two days later.

Add one human round. An AI score tells you whether an answer met a rubric, not whether a specific panel would hire you. Our PM mock interview platforms guide covers peer and coach options.

How AllthingsPM does this. Each step maps to a feature: the question bank for speaking before reading, 15 to 45 minute lengths in mock interviews, company hubs for the mix, saved transcripts for the reread, and the JD mock for the final rehearsal of the actual role. If the round is for an AI company, the course chapter on the AI PM interview loop prepares the content you will speak about.

A one-week voice practice plan

  1. Day 1: one 15-minute voice mock each on product design, metrics and behavioral. Note the lowest score.
  2. Days 2 to 4: two 30-minute voice mocks a day on that weakest type. Read the answer guide after each, never before.
  3. Day 5: paste your target job description into the JD mock and run a 45-minute spoken round.
  4. Day 6: one human mock with a peer or coach to calibrate the AI score.
  5. Day 7: a final JD mock, then check your resume against the same JD so every claim you might be asked about is on the page.

On the free tier the JD step runs once a day; the heavier middle days are where Pro at $20 a month pays off.

How AllthingsPM does this. Every step except the human mock runs in one account, with voice on throughout. Compare the day 1 and day 7 reports to see which rubric lines actually moved.

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for voice PM interview practice

Voice practice is only useful if three things are true: the interviewer reacts to what you said, it judges the answer the way a PM panel would, and you can afford enough full rounds to improve.

AllthingsPM meets all three. You speak or type in the same session, the AI follows up on your words, and each interview type has its own PM rubric. Paste any job description into the JD mock and the round is built from that role. One mock a day is free with voice; unlimited is $20 a month or $120 a year, with no minute meter, where Tough Tongue AI's $20 buys 150 minutes and Aced's AI audio mocks run $99 a month on monthly billing.

The mocks also connect to everything else you need: 4,122 real questions from 260 companies with answer guides, 116 live PM roles at 18 AI companies with a ready mock each, an AI PM course built from 604 job postings, and resume review against the same JD.

Rivals have real strengths. Yoodli is the best of this group on vocal delivery. PMMockr is free for generic PM reps. Aced adds a large course library and community. Each covers one slice; none we found puts spoken, JD-based PM mocks next to a question bank, a course and live job postings.

Verdict: do your spoken reps on AllthingsPM, add Yoodli only if delivery is your weak point, and book one human mock before the final loop. Start a free voice mock.

Your next PM interview will be spoken, so rehearse it that way. Open AllthingsPM, paste the job description, switch to voice and run your first scored mock today, free.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best voice AI interview practice tool for PMs?

AllthingsPM. You answer out loud, the AI interviewer follows up on what you said and scores you on a PM rubric, and the mock can be built from any job description. One mock a day is free with voice; unlimited is $20 a month. Yoodli is a useful add-on for delivery.

Can I practice PM interviews by voice for free?

Yes. AllthingsPM's free daily JD mock can be spoken. PMMockr's free plan covers its free question set by voice or text, Tough Tongue AI gives 25 free minutes, and ChatGPT's free voice mode works if you write your own interview prompt.

Is voice practice better than typing for PM interviews?

For the final weeks, yes, because the real interview is spoken and speaking exposes rambling, weak openings and slow recovery from follow-ups. Typing is still useful for drafting frameworks. AllthingsPM lets you switch between the two in the same session.

Does Aced (Exponent) have voice AI mock interviews?

Yes. Aced's AI mock interviews connect you by audio for 10 to 20 minutes on a randomly assigned PM or behavioral question; the feature is in beta and AI feedback needs a paid membership.

What happened to Google Interview Warmup?

Google retired Interview Warmup in 2026, and its address now leads to interview advice that recommends practicing with Gemini Live. For PM-specific spoken mocks with scoring, use AllthingsPM.
