Best Exponent (Aced) Alternatives for PM Interview Prep (2026)

The best Exponent alternative depends on which part of Exponent you actually wanted. For a bigger or cheaper question bank, use Product Management Exercises ($12 a month or $139 once) or the free allthingspm.app question bank. For free practice with real people, use StellarPeers (unlimited peer mocks). For a human coach, use Prepfully or IGotAnOffer (about $100 to $300 a session). For AI mock interviews, use PMMockr or allthingspm.app. For company-specific courses, use Product Alliance. And Pramp is no longer an alternative at all: it is part of Aced, which is what Exponent is now called.

What does Aced (formerly Exponent) include in 2026?

Exponent has announced that it is becoming Aced. The domain is still tryexponent.com, the company says it has served over 1 million candidates and works with 40 top universities, and it now owns a family of brands that includes Pramp, InterviewCake, Resumes.fyi and APM List [2]. It also added Ace, an AI coach that builds study plans, researches questions for a role or company and explains lesson concepts [2].

The question bank lists more than 2,000 PM questions across product design, strategy, analytics, execution and behavioral types [6]. The PM course now covers AI product sense rounds, vibe-coding prototypes and "the AI fluency interviewers now expect", and there is a separate Generative AI Interviews course [5]. So the old claim that Exponent has no AI practice or AI PM content is no longer true.

When should you just stay on Exponent?

Leaving is not always the right move. Stay on Aced if:

• You already paid for the annual plan. At $12 a month billed annually, Pro is cheaper than most alternatives in US dollars, and it bundles courses, peer mocks and a Slack community that many subscribers call one of its best features [7].
• You want one login for everything. No alternative below combines a video course, a big question bank, peer mocks, AI mocks and a coach marketplace in one subscription.
• You are aiming at a classic big-tech loop (Google, Meta, Amazon) and like learning from recorded mock interviews. One r/ProductManagement user who landed Google APM called its big-tech loop content "critical" [29].
• The free tier covers you. Five peer mocks a month is enough for many people.

The honest reasons to leave are narrower: the monthly price ($79) if you only need a few weeks, US-dollar pricing if you are in India ("it is expensive from India", as one 2026 thread put it [24]), coach sessions at $249, or wanting prep that is built around one specific job description rather than a general curriculum.

Is Pramp still an Exponent alternative?

No. Pramp used to be the default free alternative to Exponent, but Exponent bought it, and Pramp's own site now says: "As of July 2024, all new Pramp sessions are hosted on Exponent Practice. It's still free" [4].

Pramp is now the peer mock feature inside Aced: 5 free sessions a month on Basic, unlimited for members, with product management as one of the interview types [1][3]. If you want "Pramp alternatives" for PM, you want free peer practice, covered below.

Which alternative is best if you want a bigger or cheaper question bank?

Product Management Exercises is the closest like-for-like swap. Its Interview Prep plan costs $12 a month and includes 3,000+ interview questions with answers, a 100+ hour prep course, recorded expert mocks, peer mock practice, 150+ company-specific practice plans and a Slack group. If you only want the questions, the Lite plan is $139 once for lifetime access to the 3,000+ questions, with no course or community [8]. A free account gets 30+ questions [9]. Choose it if you like reading many community answers to the same question.

The allthingspm.app question bank is free to browse: 4,122 real PM interview questions tagged to 260 companies, each with its own page and an answer guide., including AI companies most older banks barely cover.

You can open any company's page, for example Google PM interview questions, Meta or Anthropic, and practice a single question such as design an anti-scamming product for Meta as a scored mock.

PMMockr says it has 9,000+ curated questions, a figure we could not verify [21].

Where can you get free peer mock interviews?

StellarPeers is the best free peer option for PM. Its free plan includes unlimited peer mock interviews scheduled through a shared calendar (a valid LinkedIn profile is required), the ability to observe other people's mocks, and access to community questions [10]. Paid plans ($79 a month, $150 for three months, $180 a year) add solved cases and company frameworks [10]. One Reddit user wrote they "got a great PM job after a few months of practice there" [27].

Aced's free plan (the old Pramp) gives you 5 peer mocks a month with automatic matching [1][3].

Community Slack groups are the third route: Lewis C. Lin's community Slack comes up on Reddit as a place to organize free PM mocks [25][27].

Which alternative is best for human coaching?

Aced's coaches cost $249 a session [7]. You can usually pay less elsewhere, and choose the coach yourself.

• Prepfully lists more than 300 PM coaches, each setting their own price. On 25 September 2026 the first page of PM coaches, from Google, Meta, Netflix and Waymo, charged $189 to $299 for a first session ($209 to $499 at full price), with bundle discounts of up to 17% [12].
• IGotAnOffer sells credits at about $50 each; a 1-hour session costs 2 to 5 credits, so $100 to $250, and it refunds a session if you are not satisfied and tell them within 24 hours [13]. Keep in mind that IGotAnOffer also publishes rankings that put itself first [7][9].
• StellarPeers offers an expert mock at $250 for 45 minutes, including a recording [11].
• RocketBlocks sells PM coaching a la carte at $200 an hour [14].
• PM Interview Prep Club sells 1:1 sessions with senior PM mentors at ₹499 for 30 minutes and ₹1,999 for 60 minutes on a month-end offer (list ₹2,499 and ₹4,499), with no subscription needed [19].

Spend coaching late: one or two sessions with someone from the company where you have a real loop, after volume practice elsewhere. allthingspm.app has no human coaches.

Which alternative is best for AI mock interviews?

Aced now has AI mocks, but only on the $20 to $99 a month Expert plan [1]. These alternatives let you practice for less.

PMMockr is the strongest free option. Free users get unlimited mocks on its free question set, by voice or text, with a report after each one, plus a weekly timed contest. Premium unlocks premium and company-specific questions for a one-off ₹2,700 for three months or ₹9,600 for a year, with a first-purchase coupon applied (₹1,000 a month at list price), and it does not auto-renew [20][21].

allthingspm.app runs an AI interviewer that asks, follows up like a real interviewer, and scores the answer, typed or spoken. The distinctive part is the JD mock: paste any job description and the mock is built from that role's responsibilities, product area and seniority. You can also start a practice mock from any bank question. The free tier includes 1 JD mock a day; Pro ($20 a month or $120 a year) makes mocks unlimited.

PM Interview Prep Club bundles AI practice into a ₹1,999 a month membership: 100 AI credits and 60 minutes of AI voice practice a month, plus resume feedback and a job board [19].

You may still see MockJam recommended, including as IGotAnOffer's "best AI PM mock interview platform" and in PMMockr's own roundup [9][22]. When we checked on 25 September 2026, the mockjam.app domain did not resolve, so we cannot recommend it until it is reachable again.

Which alternative has the best company-specific content?

Product Alliance is the deepest option if you know your target company. It sells flagship courses for Google, Meta, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber and TikTok at $379 each (or 4 payments of $69.41) (13 to 17 hours of video each). All 11 courses cost $429 as a bundle, shown as a discount from $999. It is a one-time payment with lifetime access and free updates, but there are no refunds [15][16]. One Reddit user who tried both found its content "much better" than Exponent's [30]. It has no live practice, so pair it with peers or AI mocks.

allthingspm.app has a free page per company in the question bank, and for AI companies it goes further: 116 live PM job descriptions from 18 AI companies (Anthropic 19, Sierra 18, Scale AI 15, Glean 14, OpenAI 12 and more) in the jobs catalog, each with a mock built from that exact posting. For example, you can rehearse for Anthropic's Product Manager, Growth role or OpenAI's Product Manager, Core Models role. Indian companies have pages too, such as Flipkart and Swiggy. Which alternative is best for AI PM interview prep?

AI PM interviews add rounds classic prep never covered: evals, agent design, model trade-offs, sometimes a live vibe-coding prototype. Aced now covers some of this [5]. The alternatives:

allthingspm.app is built for this role first. What is the cheapest Exponent alternative in India?

Aced prices in US dollars. In a 2025 Reddit thread, an Indian candidate compared Exponent at about ₹12,000 a year with PM Exercises at about ₹9,000, adding that "even ₹9K is a stretch" [23].

Many people do. One Reddit commenter says you can "stitch together a nice curriculum" from YouTube, blogs and Slack groups without paying [26]. A practical free stack:

• Lewis C. Lin's Decode and Conquer is not free, but it is a one-time paperback rather than a subscription. The 5th edition (May 2025, 528 pages) added frameworks including AI fluency and enterprise vs consumer [17]. It is only sold in print; there is no Kindle or PDF edition [18]. • Aced's own YouTube channel posts mock interviews for free, and several Reddit users say the free videos were enough for them [7][26][29]. Diego Granados and Dr. Nancy Li also run YouTube channels on breaking into PM and interview prep [28].
• RocketBlocks is paid ($35 a month or $155 a year, with a 7-day free trial), but its PM crash course with 19 mock interviews from PMs at Google, Facebook, Microsoft and Amazon is a cheap way to drill for a short sprint [14].
• Free question banks and summaries: the allthingspm.app question bank and podcast summaries of shows like Lenny's Podcast are free to read.

Free resources teach frameworks; they rarely give feedback on your own answers, so add peer or AI mocks even on a zero budget.
