Short answer: yes, Final Round AI is a legitimate company, but billing is where users get hurt. Its own "is it legit" article says it is a Delaware company with $6.88M in venture funding, and its Trustpilot score was 2.9 out of 5 from 277 reviews when we checked, with 27% one-star reviews that mostly describe charges, refunds and cancellation. If you are a product manager and want practice without that risk, AllthingsPM gives you one free AI mock interview built from any job description every day, then costs $20 a month or $120 a year.
AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Prices below were checked on 28 September 2026 on each vendor's own page. We quote Final Round AI's features and terms as its own pages describe them.

Is Final Round AI a real company or a scam?
It is a real company. Final Round AI's own article on the question says it is "FinalRound AI Inc." incorporated in Delaware, has raised "$6.88M in venture capital funding", has been "operating since 2023" and has processed "816,000+ live interview sessions". Those are the company's own figures, so treat them as claims, but nothing we found suggests it is a scam.
The same article is unusually candid about billing. It says the cancellation flow "has been described by multiple reviewers as creating unexpected charges", calls that "a real product failure in the customer experience", and argues the complaints reflect "cancellation policy confusion rather than unauthorized charges or deceptive practices".
So the honest framing is: legit company, confusing billing. That is a solvable problem if you read the terms first, and an avoidable one if you pick a tool with a free tier and a small monthly price.
How AllthingsPM does this: there is one pricing page with three plans, Free, Monthly and Yearly, and the free tier resets every day. You can run a full JD mock before deciding anything, and every session is saved with its transcript and feedback.
What do users report about Final Round AI billing?
On 28 September 2026, Final Round AI's Trustpilot page showed a TrustScore of 2.9 from 277 reviews. The split was 42% five-star, 19% four-star, 10% three-star, 2% two-star and 27% one-star. That is a polarised profile: many happy users, and a large, angry minority.
The one-star reviews cluster around the same few themes:
- Bigger charges than expected. Recent review titles include "The price is very high at $150 a month" and "Very disappointing billing experience" (both September 2026).
- Refunds refused. Reviewers describe being turned down under the 72-hour window or the usage rule.
- Cancellation. One August 2026 review is titled "Misleading cancellation process & zero human support".
- Support. Several reviewers say they reached AI replies and could not get a person on billing disputes.
Final Round AI does reply to many negative reviews on Trustpilot. Treat every single review as an anecdote. The pattern is still consistent enough that you should read the next two sections before you enter a card.
How AllthingsPM does this: the cheapest paid step is $20 for a month, so a mistake costs $20, not $300. Before that, use the free tier: one JD mock and one resume review against a JD every day.
How much does Final Round AI actually charge?
This is where most surprises start, because the headline number and the charge differ.
Final Round AI's pricing page shows the Pro plan as "$25+/mo" with "Save up to 40%". Its subscription page, checked the same day, listed:
- Monthly: $150 a month.
- Quarterly: $83.33 a month, billed quarterly, about $250 at once.
- Yearly: $25 a month, billed annually, $300 at once.
- Premium MAX: $41.67 a month, billed annually, about $500 at once.
Its own "is it legit" article quotes the monthly plan as "$148/month as of 2026", which is close to but not the same as the checkout page. Always trust the number on the checkout screen.
The pricing page is also explicit on trials: "There is no free trial - live sessions need an active Pro subscription." Practice interviews are listed among Pro features, while the free plan lists Goals, job description parsing and the desktop app.
How AllthingsPM does this: the price fits in one line: $20 a month or $120 a year, ₹1,200 or ₹8,400 in India. The yearly plan is still less than Final Round AI's single month to month charge, and it includes the AI PM course and the full question bank.
What is Final Round AI's refund policy?
Final Round AI's refund policy, "Last Updated: July 16th, 2026", offers a "3-day (72-hour) money-back guarantee on initial and renewal subscription charges". The conditions matter more than the headline:
- The request must arrive within 72 hours of the charge, by email to hi@finalroundai.com, with your account email, purchase date, plan type and reason.
- No "substantial use". That means "at least 2 interview sessions in the current billing period, each lasting strictly more than 30 minutes". A session of exactly 30 minutes does not count.
- Once per customer. "The guarantee applies once per customer."
- Cancelling is not a refund. "Cancellation prevents future charges but does not refund the current billing period."
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days, per the policy. The terms of service repeat the rule: outside that policy, "subscription fees, including renewals, are non-refundable."
In plain terms: if you run two proper practice sessions and then decide the tool is not for you, expect no refund.
How AllthingsPM does this: you do not need a refund window to find out whether it works, because the free tier lets you run a real mock every day. Try a question from the Google PM question hub or paste your target posting, then decide.
How does auto-renewal work, and how do I avoid a surprise charge?
Final Round AI's terms say: "Your subscription to the Services will continue and renew automatically until terminated." And: "You must cancel your subscription before it renews in order to avoid billing of the subscription fees for the next billing cycle." The terms also promise at least a month's notice before any price change.
A checklist that avoids most of the complaints above:
- Read the checkout amount, not the "per month" figure. Yearly means one charge for the whole year.
- Put the renewal date in your calendar the day you subscribe, with a reminder three days earlier.
- Cancel inside the product before renewal and keep the confirmation email.
- Refund needed? Email within 72 hours of the charge and before your second 30 minute session.
- Keep screenshots of the plan you picked and the cancellation screen.
How AllthingsPM does this: there are only two paid plans and both are shown on one pricing page. Most PMs start free, run the daily mock for a week, and only then choose Monthly or Yearly.
Is the Interview CoPilot a legitimacy risk for you?
There is a second meaning of "legit": is it allowed? Final Round AI's core Pro feature is a live Interview CoPilot with "Stealth Mode", which suggests answers during a real interview.
Many employers say no. Anthropic's candidate guidance says live interviews are "all you", with no AI assistance unless Anthropic says otherwise. IT Pro reported in March 2025 that Amazon told candidates not to use AI tools during interviews. Being caught can cost the offer, and a follow-up question quickly shows whether an answer is really yours.
How AllthingsPM does this: it is a practice tool, built to make the answers yours before the interview. The AI interviewer asks follow-ups on what you actually said, and the Anthropic question hub gives you questions candidates were asked there. You can also rehearse a live role, such as Product Manager, Multi-Cloud Growth at Anthropic, straight from the jobs catalog.
Is Final Round AI worth it for PM interviews?
Final Round AI covers many job types, including coding and HireVue style rounds, and some users clearly love it. For product managers, the value question is narrower: do you get better PM answers per dollar?
PM loops are decided on product sense, metrics, execution and, at AI companies, model tradeoffs. A general tool scores structure and delivery across every kind of job. AllthingsPM is built only for those PM rounds:
- JD-based mocks. Paste the posting into the JD mock and the interview is shaped to that role's product area and seniority, typed or spoken, with follow-ups and a score.
- Real questions with answer guides. 4,122 questions from 260 companies, each on its own page, with a hub per company.
- A course for the gaps. The AI PM course was built from 604 real PM job postings. The lesson on the product sense round covers the round most PM loops turn on.
- Everything around the interview. Resume review against a JD, Resume Job Match, 111 book summaries and 455 PM portfolios.

How AllthingsPM does this: start with one JD mock on the role you want most, read the feedback, study the weak area in the course, and run the same posting again the next day. Two scores a day apart tell you more than any review page.
Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for PM interview practice without billing surprises
If your worry is billing, the decision is simple. AllthingsPM lets you practise every day for free, and its paid plans are $20 a month or $120 a year. Final Round AI's month to month plan is $150, its "$25 a month" plan is $300 charged up front, and its refund guarantee disappears after two 30 minute sessions.
If your goal is a PM offer, AllthingsPM is also the better fit. Mocks come from the exact job description you paste, with PM specific scoring and follow-ups. Behind them sit 4,122 real questions from 260 companies with answer guides, 116 live PM job descriptions at 18 AI companies each with a ready mock, and an AI PM course built from 604 real postings. Final Round AI does not pair its mocks with a PM course or a PM question bank with written answer guides.
Final Round AI has real strengths: it covers many job types, coding rounds and a desktop app, and it replies to many public reviews. For product managers who want daily, role specific practice at a price that cannot surprise them, AllthingsPM is the better choice.
