Short answer: Product Management Exercises (PM Exercises) is a large, long-running PM interview question bank with a community, peer mocks, a self-paced prep course and a separate AI PM cohort with a LinkedIn-shareable certificate. It is solid for reading answers and meeting peers. For most candidates, AllthingsPM is the better buy: it has more questions (4,122 across 260 companies, each with an answer guide), an AI interviewer that asks, follows up and scores you by text or voice, mocks built from any job description, and an AI PM course, all for $120 a year or $20 for one month. PM Exercises' core plan is $149 a year, its AI courses add $399 a year, and its live AI PM cohort costs $1,995.
AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Every PM Exercises fact below comes from its own live pages, checked September 26 and 28, 2026.

How good is the PM Exercises question bank?
It is the product's heart, and it is good at what it does. The questions page lists 3,185 questions from 230 companies, last updated September 22, 2026, and a banner noted 13 new questions that week. Classic big tech is deep: 955 Google, 753 Meta, 278 Amazon and 169 Microsoft questions. Each question shows how many community answers it has; "How would you improve Google Maps?" had 55 answers and 255,500 views.
Three limits show up once you use it for real prep:
- Answer quality varies. Most answers are written by other members. One 2025 r/ProductManagement reply called the material "subpar", another "very helpful". You have to judge which answer is good, which is the skill you are trying to learn.
- AI companies are thin. The Artificial Intelligence category held 42 questions. The company filter showed 12 OpenAI and 4 Anthropic questions.
- Reading is not rehearsing. You can read 50 answers to one question and still freeze when an interviewer asks "why that segment?"
On that third point, learning research is clear. In Roediger and Karpicke's 2006 Psychological Science study, students who tested themselves remembered far more a week later than students who re-read the same material. A bank is a reading tool unless something makes you produce the answer.
How AllthingsPM does this: every one of our 4,122 questions has its own page with an answer guide written for it, plus a button that starts a scored mock on that exact question. Browse the question bank, or go straight to a company hub such as Google or Anthropic, answer out loud, then read the guide and compare.

Does PM Exercises give you feedback on your answers?
Yes, but from people, and on their schedule. Its pricing page lists peer-to-peer mock interview practice matched by company and experience, recorded mocks with expert PMs, 100+ hours of recorded group practice, 50+ hours of recorded Q&A sessions, a private Slack group and paid coaching. You can also post an answer and wait for comments.
That is rich feedback when it arrives. The problem is speed and cost. A January 2025 PM Exercises subscriber on Reddit complained that the site mostly asks you to write long answers with no instant feedback. A May 2026 r/prodmgmt post put the general problem well: "After answering a practice question, I genuinely had no idea if it was good." In our checks, we found no AI interviewer anywhere in PM Exercises' navigation, pricing table or practice pages.
How AllthingsPM does this: our mock interview asks the question, follows up the way a real interviewer would and scores your answer the moment you finish, by text or voice. No booking, no time zones, no comment threads. Ten scored reps in an evening is a normal session.
Is the PM Exercises interview course worth it?
The Interview Prep plan includes a "100+ hrs" self-paced PM interview course, frameworks for each question type (product sense, execution, strategy, analytics, behavioral and more), 10+ pages of printable cheat sheets and 150+ company-specific practice plans. For a candidate new to PM interviews, a frameworks course plus cheat sheets is a sensible starting point, and it is bundled at no extra cost in the $149 plan.
Two caveats. First, frameworks are the most copied part of PM prep; interviewers hear the same structure all day, and what separates answers is judgment under follow-ups. Second, the course is about the classic loop. The questions AI companies now ask (evals, model tradeoffs, agent failure modes) are not in its core interview course; PM Exercises sells that material separately.
How AllthingsPM does this: our AI PM course was built backwards from 604 real PM job postings and is updated weekly. It covers both the classic rounds, like the product sense round, and the AI topics those postings ask for, and it is included in the same $120 plan as the mocks and the bank.
What is the PM Exercises AI PM certificate?
This is the part most people search for, and it is two different products.
1. The live AI Product Management cohort ($1,995). A 5-week online program with live sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, 5:30 to 7:30pm Pacific, and about 20 hours of live sessions in total, according to its FAQ. The lead instructor is listed as Kai Wang, PM Lead of Uber's AI platform, with Corey Hill, a Principal GenAI PM at Amazon. The syllabus runs from ML fundamentals and hands-on Colab labs to RAG, fine-tuning, MLOps, responsible AI, AI agents and MCP, plus an optional PRD for an AI product. On completion you get a certificate from Product Management Exercises that is shareable on LinkedIn. It comes with a year of PM Exercises interview prep, a 7-day money-back guarantee and a 5.0 rating from 158 reviews shown on its own page. Cohort 12 begins the week of September 28, 2026; its sign-up deadline was September 25.
2. The self-paced "Become an AI-native PM" plan ($399 a year, ₹36,995 in India). Recordings and materials from three courses: AI Product Manager (30+ hours), Build Products with AI (10+ hours) and AI Agents (10+ hours), with a certificate for each course you complete. PM Exercises says this is the same curriculum as its live cohort, without the live sessions.
Is the certificate worth it? The content looks thorough, and the instructors are real practitioners. But a certificate from a prep site is proof you finished a course, not a credential hiring managers screen for. AI PM loops test whether you can reason out loud about evals, cost, latency and failure modes, with someone pushing back. If you buy the cohort, buy it for the teaching and the network, not the badge.
How AllthingsPM does this: our AI PM course has 14 chapters, 101 lessons and 14 graded case studies, so you produce work and get it graded instead of watching recordings. The knowledge graph shows how AI PM concepts connect, and each concept leads back to a lesson. Then you rehearse it against real AI PM roles in our jobs catalog.

Prices checked September 26 (US) and September 28, 2026 (India) on each vendor's own page. PM Exercises shows yearly plans as a monthly figure (for example ₹833 a month), billed annually, with a 7-day money-back guarantee.
What this means in practice:
- Short prep window (4 to 6 weeks): PM Exercises has no monthly plan, so the cheapest paid access is $139 for Lite or $149 for a year. One month of AllthingsPM Pro is $20.
- A full year with AI PM training: $499 on PM Exercises against $120 on AllthingsPM, which includes the course.
- India: ₹9,995 for PM Exercises' core plan against ₹8,400 for a year of AllthingsPM Pro.
How AllthingsPM does this: the $20 month exists for the candidate with a loop in four weeks. You get the full Pro plan (mocks, bank, course, jobs and resume review) for exactly the window you need, and the free tier lets you judge the feedback before paying anything.
What do PMs say about PM Exercises?
Opinions are mixed, and fairly consistent. On the plus side, PM Exercises' own pricing page carries testimonials from members who landed PM jobs at Meta, Google, Microsoft, Atlassian and Capital One, and it says over 100,000 people have used the site. In the 2025 r/ProductManagement thread comparing it with Exponent, people found the question volume useful.
The recurring complaints are about format, not honesty: answers written by peers of uneven quality, and no instant feedback. The most useful reply in that thread was not about either site: "It's practice and mocks that will make a difference." On the AI cohort, a Blind thread asking whether anyone had tried the course drew interest but little detailed feedback, so treat the on-page 5.0 rating as the vendor's own figure.
How AllthingsPM does this: we built AllthingsPM around exactly that reply. Every question can become a scored mock, every role in the jobs catalog comes with a mock built from its job description, and you can check your resume against the same JD before you apply.
Who is PM Exercises a good fit for?
PM Exercises fits a candidate who wants human practice partners and a large archive of community answers for big-tech loops, and who is happy to pay $149 for a year. The live cohort fits someone whose employer will reimburse $1,995 for a structured, instructor-led AI course.
For everyone else, especially candidates targeting AI companies, on a short timeline, or paying out of pocket, AllthingsPM covers more ground for less. If you want a human read, one paid coach session near the end of your prep, on top of daily AI reps, is a sensible add-on.
A 14-day plan using AllthingsPM instead
- Day 1: paste your target job description into the JD mock and do one full interview cold. Note your two weakest scores.
- Days 2 to 4: open the AI PM course lessons that match those weak areas.
- Days 5 to 9: take 10 questions from your target company's hub in the question bank. Answer each out loud, read the answer guide, then mock it again.
- Day 10: run a JD resume review so your stories match your bullets.
- Days 11 to 13: one JD mock a day in voice mode, no notes.
- Day 14: reread your best three answers and rest.

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for PM interview prep
A review should end with a decision, so here it is. PM Exercises is a genuine, long-running resource: a community bank of 3,185 questions, peer mocks, a frameworks course, and an AI PM cohort taught by practitioners. Its real strength is people, and if you want a human practice partner, it has them.
But the thing that gets you hired is producing a strong answer under pressure, and that needs feedback on every rep. AllthingsPM gives you that instantly, by text or voice, on every one of 4,122 questions across 260 companies, each with its own answer guide. Our JD mock builds an interview from any job description, and 116 live PM roles at 18 AI companies each come with a ready mock. For AI labs the gap is wide: 105 Anthropic questions against 4.
Then there is price. AllthingsPM Pro is $120 a year or $20 for a single month, and it includes the AI PM course, resume review against a JD, Resume Job Match, 111 book summaries and podcast summaries. PM Exercises charges $149 for interview prep alone, $499 once you add its AI courses, and $1,995 for the live cohort and its certificate.
Verdict: for most PM candidates, and for nearly every AI PM candidate, AllthingsPM is the stronger and cheaper way to prepare. Start with a free JD mock. For head-to-head detail, read AllthingsPM vs PM Exercises, PM Exercises alternatives and the best PM mock interview platforms.
