Product Alliance Review 2026: Is $379 Worth It?

Product Alliance sells well-made PM interview video courses at $379 each or $429 for all 11, with lifetime access and no refunds. For most candidates, AllthingsPM is the better buy: scored AI mock interviews from any job description, 4,122 real questions with answer guides and an AI PM course for $120 a year, with a free tier.

A one-time video course or a year of practice: the real question behind the price.

Short answer: Product Alliance is a solid set of company-specific PM interview video courses, and $379 buys one of them for life. But $429 buys the whole library, which makes a single course a poor deal, and there are no refunds. For most candidates, AllthingsPM is the better buy: it gives you scored AI mock interviews built from any job description, 4,122 real questions from 260 companies with answer guides, and an AI PM course, for $120 a year, with a free tier that includes one job description mock a day.

AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Every Product Alliance fact below comes from Product Alliance's own live pages, checked on September 28, 2026, and from public reviews on Levels.fyi and Blind. We did not buy a Product Alliance course, so we describe its content as Product Alliance describes it.

What does Product Alliance cost in 2026, and what do you get?

Here is the whole picture in one table, with AllthingsPM first because it is the alternative most readers of a Product Alliance review are weighing.

Is Product Alliance worth $379?

For one course, rarely. The price gap tells the story: a single flagship course is $379, and the Full Library Access Pass with all 11 courses is $429. Paying $50 more for ten more courses is an easy call, so the $379 option only makes sense if you are certain you will never need a second company.

The library itself is substantial. Product Alliance says it holds 39 hours of video lessons and more than 300 pages of downloadable resources. Its Google flagship lists 13 hours of video and 200+ interview questions; its Apple flagship lists 16 hours and 60+ questions; "Hacking the Product Management Interview" lists 18 hours plus 62 pages of strategy guides.

The catch is what a video course cannot do. It cannot hear your answer, push back on a weak metric, or tell you that your prioritisation was vague. That is the part of preparation where most candidates lose points, and it is why we built AllthingsPM around practice first.

How AllthingsPM does this: every one of our 4,122 questions has its own page with an answer guide and a button to practice it with the AI interviewer. On the Google hub alone there are 948 questions, including 402 product design questions, and you can start a mock interview on any of them in one click.

What do real PMs say in Product Alliance reviews?

Public reviews are mixed, and most are a few years old.

On Blind, in a 2021 thread about the Google flagship course, one Google PM wrote that "about a third of the questions I got asked during the interview were almost word for word" from the course. Another credited the course with helping them understand how Google thinks about scale. A Microsoft employee in the same thread called the Facebook course "really helpful".

On Levels.fyi, a Microsoft PM said the product design videos helped but added, "I don't think you NEED it since you can find similar material on YouTube for free." A founder in the same thread said courses like this improve skills but "I don't think they will necessarily help you get into the door." Another reply pointed to Exponent as an alternative.

Product Alliance's own home page claims "12,000+ Satisfied Members", a "4.9/5 Average Member Rating" and a "58% Average Increase in Total Compensation". Those are the company's figures; we found no independent audit of them.

The pattern in these reviews: the content is valued for company context, and the doubts are about price and whether watching is enough.

How AllthingsPM does this: we answer the "is watching enough?" doubt directly. After you read an answer guide, you say your own answer out loud to the AI interviewer, get follow-ups, and see a score. Learning research backs this: Roediger and Karpicke (2006) found that testing yourself produced better recall a week later than re-studying the same material.

What is Product Alliance good at?

Fairly stated: Product Alliance is strong on company context. Its flagship courses go deep on how specific big tech companies interview, and its 85 annotated mock interview videos show what a strong answer sounds like, with commentary on why. Lifetime access with free updates also means no recurring bill.

If you want that company context, AllthingsPM covers it in written form and lets you rehearse it. Our interview guides for Google, Meta and Amazon explain each loop, and each company has a hub, such as Meta, with real questions and answer guides.

How AllthingsPM does this: pick a company hub, read three answer guides, then run the same questions as timed mocks. You get the context a video gives you, plus a score on your own answer, for less than a third of one Product Alliance course.

Where does Product Alliance fall short in 2026?

Four gaps matter for someone preparing now.

1. No practice on your own answers. The FAQ describes 85 mock interview videos to watch. We found no feature where you answer and get feedback. For that you need a peer, a paid coach, or an AI interviewer.

2. No role-specific prep. Two PM roles at the same company can test very different things. Product Alliance works at the company level. It does not build an interview from the job description you are applying to.

3. Light on AI PM roles. The flagship list is Google, Meta, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, Uber and TikTok. AI lab loops at companies like Anthropic and OpenAI test evals, model tradeoffs and agent failure modes, which call for different preparation.

4. No refunds. Product Alliance points buyers to its free sample videos to judge fit before paying, which is sensible, but once you pay, the money is spent.

How AllthingsPM does this: our AI PM course was built backwards from 604 real PM job postings, with lessons such as the product sense round, and our jobs catalog lists 116 live PM roles at 18 AI companies, each with its own mock. You can start free, so there is nothing to refund.

Product Alliance vs AllthingsPM: which should you pick for your situation?

  • You have a Google or Meta onsite in two weeks. AllthingsPM. Open the company hub, work through answer guides, and run daily mocks. Pair that with our product design framework guide.
  • You are targeting AI PM roles. AllthingsPM, clearly: the AI PM course, the knowledge graph of AI PM concepts and live AI company roles are built for this.
  • You are breaking into PM. AllthingsPM. Use resume review against a JD to see how you read for a real posting, browse 455 PM portfolios, and start the course.
  • You strongly prefer long video lectures and want a one-time purchase. Product Alliance's $429 library is the version to consider; use AllthingsPM alongside it for the practice the videos do not give.

How AllthingsPM does this: everything above lives in one subscription, so you are not stitching together a course, a question list and a practice partner. Our Product Alliance vs Exponent comparison and Product Alliance alternatives cover the wider market.

A 7 day plan with AllthingsPM instead of a video course

  1. Day 1: run the free resume review against a JD on the posting you want. Note the gaps.
  2. Day 2: paste the same posting into the JD mock. Save the follow-ups that caught you out.
  3. Day 3: study those gaps in the AI PM course or the company's answer guides in the question bank.
  4. Day 4: answer five company questions out loud in practice before reading each guide.
  5. Day 5: a second JD mock on the same posting. Compare the score with Day 2.
  6. Day 6: find two similar roles with Resume Job Match and mock one of them.
  7. Day 7: review a framework summary such as Decode and Conquer and write down your three strongest stories.

Most of that week runs on the free plan.

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for PM interview prep

A Product Alliance review comes down to one question: do you need more content, or more practice? Most candidates already have more frameworks than they can use. What they lack is reps on their own answers, with feedback, on the role they are applying for.

AllthingsPM is built for exactly that:

  • Scored practice every day, by voice or text, with follow-ups, on any of 4,122 real questions from 260 companies.
  • Mocks from any job description, which Product Alliance does not offer.
  • An AI PM course of 14 chapters and 101 lessons, built from 604 real job postings and updated weekly.
  • Your whole application in one place: resume review against a JD, Resume Job Match, 116 live AI company roles, 111 book summaries and 455 PM portfolios.
  • Lower cost: $120 a year for all of it, or free to start, against $379 for one Product Alliance course or $429 for the library.

Product Alliance's real strength is polished, company-specific video with lifetime access, and some candidates have credited it with offers. For preparing to perform in the room, though, practice beats watching, and AllthingsPM gives you more of it for less. Our verdict: for most PM candidates, AllthingsPM is the better choice.
