Anthropic, Glean and Figma are all hiring growth product managers right now, and their job descriptions agree on more than they differ. The Anthropic Product Manager, Growth role pays $385,000 to $460,000 and asks for 6 to 10 years of PM experience, mostly in growth. Glean's Growth PM pays $175,000 to $280,000 for 5+ years. Figma's AI Growth PM pays $169,000 to $303,000 for 7+ years. All three want funnel thinking, A/B testing and product-led growth.
AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Its jobs catalog holds 116 live PM job descriptions at 18 AI companies, including all five growth roles in this post, and each one has a mock interview built from the JD itself. So you can read the role here, then rehearse the exact interview it implies.

What does Anthropic want from a growth product manager?
Anthropic has two growth PM roles in the catalog, and they are very different jobs.
Product Manager, Growth is the consumer and prosumer role. The JD says Claude has "tens of millions of users worldwide" across web, mobile and desktop, and asks the PM to drive growth "across measures such as acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization." The responsibilities are the classic growth list: own a strategy across that funnel, launch growth features, analyze metrics and user feedback, run user research, define KPIs.
Three lines stand out as specific to Anthropic:
- "Balance rapid iteration with our commitment to AI safety and ethics." Most growth JDs do not ask you to trade off a lever against safety. This one does, in writing.
- "Growth experience on mass-scale B2C products, bonus for subscription businesses." Claude sells paid plans, so retention and conversion to paid are central.
- "Experience with product-led growth in business and enterprise contexts." The same PM has to think about individual users who pull Claude into their teams.
The minimum bar is short: A/B testing and funnel optimization, communication, comfort with ambiguity, "passion for AI," and a technical background or the ability to work with engineers. Founder experience "is a plus."
That profile matches how the team actually runs. Anthropic's Head of Growth, Amol Avasare, told Lenny Rachitsky that the team indexes about 70/30 toward big bets, the opposite of most growth teams, and that it uses an internal system called CASH to automate growth experiments with Claude. The same episode summary calls activation "the single highest-leverage growth problem in AI." Avasare came from growth roles at Mercury and MasterClass and was a founder before that, which lines up with the "founder experience is a plus" line.
Product Manager, Multi-Cloud Growth, Google is a platform and partnerships job inside the Anthropic Platform Org, which the JD says owns the APIs, self-serve developer experience, multi-cloud integrations and agentic infrastructure. It asks you to have "owned a revenue number, a margin target, or a channel P&L," to have shipped "with a hyperscaler as a partner," and ideally to have been a PM at AWS, GCP or Azure. Growth here means commercial outcomes through Google Cloud, not sign-up funnels.
How AllthingsPM does this. The Anthropic company hub collects Anthropic interview questions, including growth ones like "Define the core growth funnel for Claude as a subscription product" and "Anthropic wants product-led growth to work for both individual Claude users and eventual teams." For the platform role, practice "Assume you own the commercial outcomes for Anthropic's Google multi-cloud motion." Each question page has an answer guide and a one-click mock.
What does Glean want from a growth PM?
Glean's Growth PM JD is the most detailed of the five, and the most hands-on. The role "sits at the intersection of product-led growth (PLG), platform-level activation, off-surface engagement, and broader product growth strategy." The one-sentence version: "You will own how Glean turns first-touch curiosity into durable, expanding usage."
Four things in this JD are worth underlining:
- Craft, not slides. Glean wants someone who can "demonstrate granular product implementation skills such as designing specific user interfaces, onboarding flows, and experiments rather than staying at a high conceptual level." Expect a design exercise, not only a strategy case.
- Platform growth levers. The PM builds "referrals, invitations, notifications, in-product education, and lifecycle messaging that compound across surfaces."
- Off-surface growth. The JD lists the browser extension, email, Slack and Teams, and mobile as places Glean must show up, "so Glean stays present and valuable outside of a single destination app."
- A lean team. "We're currently a very lean product team, so you'll have an outsized role in shaping both the product roadmap and the product team itself."
The business context explains the hire. Glean announced in May 2026 that it had passed $300 million in ARR; TechCrunch reported that came 15 months after the $100 million mark, and noted the figure includes consumption revenue. A company that grew mainly through enterprise sales is now building a self-serve motion alongside it.
How AllthingsPM does this. The Glean company hub has questions that map straight onto this JD, such as "Design an onboarding flow that gets a new employee productive with Glean on day one" and "How would you drive adoption of Glean Agents beyond search?" Run the Glean Growth PM mock and the follow-ups will push you from strategy down to the actual screens, which is the gap the JD warns about.
What does Figma want from an AI growth PM?
Figma's role is the shortest JD and the most focused. It wants a "strategic, entrepreneurial Product Manager to help shape product-led growth for our newest AI products," and to "ensure users discover value in Figma as their workflows rapidly evolve."
The work is adoption of new bets. You "partner closely with other product teams to develop and execute on a strategy for driving adoption of Figma's newest and biggest bets," and "build a portfolio of experiments and new features that drive users to discover the transformative impact of Figma's AI features and products."
The requirements:
- 7+ years of PM experience
- "Familiarity with current AI-powered product development and a POV on how our industry will evolve"
- Experience leading major product or growth initiatives
- A track record of "data-driven experimentation and strategic bets"
- Strong cross-functional work with marketing and business teams
Figma's own numbers show why this role exists. In its Q1 2026 prepared remarks, Figma reported revenue up 46% year over year to $333 million, net dollar retention of 139%, and "early traction from AI credit monetization, which started on March 18th." It credited seat expansion partly to AI products including Figma Make, MCP and Figma Weave. An AI growth PM turns those launches into habits and paid seats.
How AllthingsPM does this. The Figma company hub includes growth questions on these exact products, such as "Figma Weave needs to grow beyond early adopters without losing the depth that power users need." The Figma AI Growth mock is built from the JD, so it asks for your point of view on where AI product development is going, which the JD lists as a requirement.
What do all three growth JDs have in common?
Read together, the five JDs ask for the same four skills.
1. Experimentation. Anthropic's minimum bar is "experience with A/B testing and funnel optimization." Glean wants you to "build a rigorous experimentation and measurement culture." Figma wants "a portfolio of experiments." If you cannot explain sample size, a guardrail metric and when to stop a test, fix that first.
2. Activation. Anthropic lists activation second in its funnel. Glean says "platform-level activation" in its first sentence about the role. Figma's whole role is getting users to "discover value" in new AI features. For AI products, activation usually means the first time the model does something the user could not easily do alone.
3. Product-led growth. Anthropic asks for PLG "in business and enterprise contexts." Glean wants you to "own the PLG motion end to end." Figma's role is "product-led growth for our newest AI products." All three want individual users to pull the product into their teams.
4. Seniority. None of these are entry roles. The asks range from 5+ years (Glean) to 6 to 10 years (Anthropic) and 7+ years (Figma). Founder or GM experience shows up in both Anthropic JDs.
What differs is the customer. Anthropic Growth is mass-scale consumer and subscription. Anthropic Multi-Cloud is a partner P&L. Glean is enterprise software going self-serve. Figma is an existing product adding AI bets.
How AllthingsPM does this. The AI PM course teaches the measurement side in lessons like building a metric tree and defining activation for a product whose job is to save time. Pair it with the 43 growth questions in the question bank and the growth PM interview questions guide.
How should you prepare for a growth PM interview at an AI company?
Here is a four-week plan that follows the JDs rather than generic advice.
Week 1: read the JD like an interviewer. Highlight every verb and every metric. For Anthropic Growth, that is acquisition, activation, retention, monetization, KPIs and "balance rapid iteration" with safety. Turn each into a question you could be asked. Our Anthropic PM job descriptions breakdown does this across all 19 Anthropic PM roles in the catalog.
Week 2: build your growth stories. You need two or three stories where you moved a metric with an experiment. Write the baseline, the hypothesis, the test, the result and what you shipped. Glean will also want the screens, so be ready to sketch the onboarding flow you changed.
Week 3: practice AI-specific growth cases. AI products have quirks classic growth playbooks miss: output quality changes with the model, compute costs scale with usage, and a bad first answer can lose a user for good. Practice questions like "How would you raise week-one retention for Claude without adding risk?" Our Anthropic PM interview guide covers the loop, and the Glean and Figma guides cover theirs.
Week 4: mock under pressure. Run the JD mock for the exact role three or four times, in voice mode for at least one. Then tighten your resume against the same JD.
How AllthingsPM does this. The whole plan runs in one account: the JD mock for weeks 3 and 4, the question bank for week 3 cases, and resume review against a JD to check your resume against the Anthropic, Glean or Figma posting. If you want more roles like these, Resume Job Match finds open jobs that fit your resume. For growth listening, the Growth Podcast summaries give you the ideas in minutes.
Which growth PM role fits your background?
Use the JDs to self-select:
- You grew a consumer subscription app at scale. Anthropic Product Manager, Growth. The JD's preferred list reads like your resume.
- You were a PM at AWS, GCP or Azure, or sold through their marketplaces. Anthropic Multi-Cloud Growth, Google. You need a revenue or P&L story.
- You built PLG loops in B2B SaaS and can design the screens yourself. Glean Growth. Bring onboarding flows and experiment write-ups.
- You drove adoption of a new product inside a mature one. Figma AI Growth. Bring a sharp point of view on AI in design and development.
Not senior enough yet? Every one of these JDs rewards experimentation and activation work you can start building now. The PM portfolios directory shows how other PMs present that kind of proof.
Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for growth PM interview prep
Growth PM interviews at AI companies are specific. Anthropic tests a safety trade-off that a general growth course will not cover. Glean tests whether you can design the onboarding flow, not just name it. Figma tests your view of where AI product development is going. Generic prep misses all three.
AllthingsPM is built around the real job description. The jobs catalog holds all five growth PM roles in this post, each with a mock interview generated from its text. The JD mock does the same for any posting you paste, in text or voice, with follow-ups and a score. The question bank adds 4,122 real questions from 260 companies, including company hubs for Anthropic, Glean and Figma. The AI PM course covers the metrics and AI product skills these JDs list, and was built from 604 real PM job postings.
Other options have real strengths: peer platforms and paid coaches give you a human across the table, which is worth one session before a final loop (see our mock interview platforms comparison). For daily practice against the exact Anthropic, Glean or Figma JD, AllthingsPM gives you more for less: a free JD mock every day, then $20 a month or $120 a year for unlimited use.
The verdict: read the JD above, then start the mock built from it today.
Frequently asked questions
How much does an Anthropic growth product manager make?
The Anthropic Product Manager, Growth JD lists an annual salary of $385,000 to $460,000. The Multi-Cloud Growth, Google role lists $305,000 to $460,000. Both figures come from the job descriptions in the AllthingsPM catalog as of 29 September 2026.
What experience does Anthropic want for a growth PM?
The preferred qualifications ask for 6 to 10 years of product management, with the majority in growth roles, plus growth on mass-scale B2C products, ideally subscription businesses. The minimum bar is A/B testing and funnel optimization, strong communication and a technical background. Founder experience is a plus.
What is the best way to prepare for a growth PM interview at an AI company?
AllthingsPM is the best place to start: run the mock built from the exact JD in its jobs catalog, practice growth questions from the question bank, and check your resume against the same JD. Then add one human mock with a peer or coach before the final loop.
Is the Glean growth PM role more hands-on than the others?
Yes. Glean's JD says it wants someone who can design "specific user interfaces, onboarding flows, and experiments rather than staying at a high conceptual level." It also describes a very lean product team, so the PM will shape the team as well as the roadmap.
What does Figma's AI Growth PM own?
Adoption of Figma's newest AI products. The JD asks the PM to build a portfolio of experiments and features that help users discover Figma's AI features, and to shape growth strategy as the product evolves. It asks for 7+ years of PM experience.
Do these growth PM roles require AI experience?
Anthropic asks for "passion for AI technology," Glean for "a passion for AI," and Figma for familiarity with AI-powered product development and a point of view on where the industry is going. None requires having shipped an AI product, but you will be asked about AI-specific growth problems. The AI PM course covers them.
