Short answer: HelloPM is worth it only if you need a live weekend class to keep you studying, want human mentors on call, and ₹75,000 is an easy spend. Its AI PM flagship is 15 weeks of live sessions with two years of office hours, and it offers placement support, not a placement guarantee. For most people, AllthingsPM is the better buy. AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform: a self-paced AI PM course built from 604 real PM job postings, mock interviews built from any job description, and 4,122 real interview questions, for ₹8,400 a year with a free tier. That is about a ninth of HelloPM's fee.

This review covers the three things people ask on Reddit before paying: the real fees, the format, and what "placement" means. It uses HelloPM's own pages, its testimonials, and Reddit threads from 2026. Prices were checked on 29 September 2026.

HelloPM details checked 29 September 2026 on hellopm.co [1]; AllthingsPM prices from our pricing page [8].

HelloPM lists the lump sum as ₹63,600 plus 18% GST, which it rounds to ₹75,000 [1]. It also says it includes more than 70 hours of live learning and mentorship [1]. Divide one by the other and you pay roughly ₹1,070 per listed live hour. That is the number to hold in your head while you read the rest.

How AllthingsPM does this: one plan covers the course and every interview tool, and the monthly option means you can pay ₹1,200 for the month you are interviewing and stop. Compare plans on the pricing page.

What format does HelloPM use?

HelloPM's flagship is a live, cohort based program. The current listing is 15 weeks of live training on weekends, Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST [1]. A "fast track" option condenses it to about 40 days by combining past cohort recordings with the current live sessions, at no extra cost [1].

The curriculum page lists AI PM fundamentals, product sense, strategy, growth, analytics, interview prep and tools, with "8 dedicated & hands-on AI PM modules" [1]. Project work is "10 activities, 3 assignments, 1 capstone/buildathon" where you build your own AI product [1]. A bonus "Tech for Product & Business Folks" track is included [1]. After the program you keep 2 years of access to content, weekly live office hours, and the option to move between cohorts [1].

The mentors named on the site include Ankit Shukla (previously Scaler, INDmoney and SHEROES), Gagan Mahajan (Director of Product Management at Meesho), and Sugat Nayak (formerly PayPal and LinkedIn) [1].

Live format has real upside. One long testimonial from a senior fintech PM calls the live sessions "a game changer" and the office hours and 1:1 support "genuinely exceptional" [3]. The downside is fixed: you are in class at 8:30 PM on both weekend nights for about four months, and if a week slips you catch up from recordings.

How AllthingsPM does this: the course is self-paced and split into short lessons, each chapter ending in a graded case study. You can open the AI PM role lesson free right now and finish a chapter on a weekday lunch break instead of a Saturday night.

Does HelloPM guarantee placement?

No. HelloPM's site does not promise a job or placement guarantee [1]. What it offers is placement support: a 1:1 expert resume review, LinkedIn profile review, portfolio building, mock interviews, an interview module with a question bank, and "access to the internal job board, where referrals, open opportunities, and jobs from our alumni are published regularly" [1]. Its comparison table describes this as "Resume + portfolio + mocks + referrals + job search support" [1].

HelloPM also does not publish a placement rate or an audited outcomes report. Its reviews page is built from individual stories, including alumni now at companies such as JP Morgan Chase, PayPal and Microsoft, but no aggregate figure [3]. It says it has 3,000+ alumni [1].

That puts HelloPM in the same bucket as most Indian PM bootcamps. A June 2026 thread on r/PMCareers asked exactly this, "do PM bootcamps with 'placement support' deliver, or is it a money grab?", from a sales professional weighing Product Space, NextLeap and IIM programs [6]. The honest answer for all of them is that support helps you prepare and occasionally opens a referral, but your shortlist still depends on your resume and your interview performance.

HelloPM's own video testimonials say the same thing implicitly. In one, a banking professional who spent five months in the program says he has "just started applying" and has "about two interviews going" [7]. That is a normal, healthy trajectory. It is also not placement.

How AllthingsPM does this: since interviews decide the outcome, AllthingsPM puts the practice where it counts. Pick a role in the jobs catalog, such as Product Lead, AI/ML (Evals) at Abridge, run the mock interview built from that posting, then check your resume against the same JD with resume review.

What do HelloPM reviews on Reddit say?

HelloPM's own testimonials are overwhelmingly positive, as you would expect from a vendor's page. Students praise the live classes, the case study feedback and the community; one calls it "one of the most impactful upskilling experiences of my career" [3].

Reddit is more mixed. In a March 2026 r/ProductManagement_IN thread asking for honest HelloPM reviews [4]:

  • One user said HelloPM "has good resources" and suggested NextLeap and PM Space as other India focused options.
  • Another called it "overrated", saying many of the free videos repeat the same material in the first 30 to 40 minutes.
  • A third wrote that "the AI PM flagship course is too lengthy and the contents are repetitive".

In a January 2026 r/prodmgmt thread comparing Rethink Systems, HelloPM and NextLeap, one reply was simply "HelloPM free masterclass, try that. Do not waste money on anything else" [5]. Another recommended NextLeap for its assignments [5].

These are anecdotes from a handful of users, not a verdict. But the pattern is consistent: people like HelloPM's free content and its mentors, and the doubts are about whether the paid program is worth the fee.

How AllthingsPM does this: every AllthingsPM answer guide sits on a public page, so you can judge the quality before paying anything. Try the product sense round lesson or browse 50 product sense questions with sample answers.

Is HelloPM's free course enough?

For a first look, yes, it is genuinely useful. HelloPM offers 9 recorded masterclasses, more than 12 hours in total, self-paced with no signup [2]. They cover AI PM fundamentals (LLMs, RAG, prompting, agents), AI evaluations, AI tools, PM interviews, PRDs, product analytics, tech fundamentals, APIs and salary [2].

What free video cannot do is make you practice. Watching a 2.5 hour interview masterclass [2] teaches the six question types; it does not tell you whether your own answer to "design a product for X" would pass. That gap is where most candidates stall, and it is the gap a ₹75,000 cohort promises to close with mocks and mentors.

How AllthingsPM does this: pair any free content with scored practice. Pick a question from the question bank, answer it out loud in a mock interview, then read the answer guide and compare. You find your weak round in an evening.

Who is HelloPM a good fit for?

HelloPM's real strength is human time: live instructors, 1:1 calls, and a cohort that keeps you on schedule. It suits a narrow group well.

If your employer reimburses learning, HelloPM publishes a guide on expensing its courses [9], and the fee matters less. If you pay yourself, you are paying mostly for live hours and mentor access.

How AllthingsPM does this: if you want to see how the whole AI PM skill set fits together before choosing, open the knowledge graph and jump straight to the lessons you are missing.

How should you test your need for a cohort first?

Before you spend ₹75,000, spend one free week finding out what you actually need. Most of this runs on AllthingsPM's free tier.

  1. Day 1: read the free lesson on the AI PM role today.
  2. Day 2: watch one HelloPM free masterclass on a topic you are weak in.
  3. Day 3: pick a role in the jobs catalog and run its JD mock.
  4. Day 4: answer five questions from the question bank and read each answer guide.
  5. Day 5: check your resume against the same job description.
  6. Day 6: rerun the mock and compare scores.
  7. Day 7: decide. If you studied every day and your scores moved, you do not need a cohort to keep you on schedule.

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for deciding whether HelloPM is worth it

The question behind "is HelloPM worth it" is really "what is the best way to spend money on getting a PM or AI PM job?" On that question AllthingsPM wins on four facts.

  • Price: ₹8,400 a year against ₹75,000, or $120 against $1,000, with a free tier and monthly billing.
  • Relevance: the course is built from 604 real PM job postings and updated weekly, so it teaches what hiring managers ask for now: evals, agents, AI PRDs and model economics.
  • Interview readiness: mocks built from any job description, 4,122 questions with answer guides, and 116 live AI PM job descriptions to practice against. Placement support at any bootcamp still ends with you in the interview room; this is where you rehearse for it.
  • Flexibility: start today and study any hour, instead of waiting for a November cohort and blocking weekend nights for 15 weeks.

HelloPM deserves credit for its live classes, approachable mentors and generous free masterclasses, and if you truly need a weekend class to stay accountable it is a reasonable choice. For anyone paying their own way into a PM role, AllthingsPM gives you more practice for about a ninth of the price. Open the AI PM course and start with the free lessons today.
