HelloPM vs NextLeap: India's PM programs compared

HelloPM is a 15 week live AI PM bootcamp for ₹75,000; NextLeap is a 16 week PM fellowship for ₹39,999. AllthingsPM beats both on value: an AI PM course built from 604 real job postings plus mock interviews from any job description for ₹8,400 a year.

AllthingsPM·September 29, 2026·15 min read
A final-year student in a hostel room pins four index cards to a corkboard beside a placement calendar, a laptop open on the desk and a cup of chai going cold
Two cohorts, two calendars, one decision.

Short answer: NextLeap is the cheaper live cohort (₹39,999 for a 16 week fellowship with daytime weekend classes), and HelloPM is the more AI-heavy one (₹75,000 including GST for 15 weeks of weekend evening sessions with two years of support). But for most people choosing between them, AllthingsPM is the better buy. AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Its self-paced AI PM course (14 chapters, 101 lessons, 14 graded case studies) was built from 604 real PM job postings, and it adds AI mock interviews built from any job description and 4,122 real interview questions, for ₹8,400 a year with a free tier. That is less than a quarter of NextLeap's fee and about a ninth of HelloPM's.

Every HelloPM and NextLeap fact below comes from their own course pages, checked on 29 September 2026. We describe each program the way its provider describes it.

How do HelloPM and NextLeap differ in format?

Both are live, online and weekend-based, but the weekend looks different.

NextLeap packs more touchpoints into the week. Saturdays carry two live classes (10:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2 to 4 PM IST). Sundays have a mentor session in the morning and a case or build hour in the afternoon. There is a Thursday night community event, and weekday practice challenges are self-paced. It lists 100+ hours of live classes over 16 weeks and asks for 14 to 15 hours a week.

HelloPM keeps it to evenings. Two sessions of two hours each run on Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 to 10:30 PM IST, all recorded, with 12 to 15 hours a week including assignments. After the 15 weeks, HelloPM gives two years of weekly live office hours. Its next cohort, Cohort 54, starts on 15 November 2026.

If you work a demanding job, the practical difference is daytime weekends (NextLeap) against evening weekends (HelloPM). Both still take about four months of your weekends.

How AllthingsPM does this: there is no schedule to fit around. The AI PM course is self-paced, each lesson is a short video, a written lesson and something you do, and you can finish a lesson on a weekday lunch break. You start on the day you sign up, not on a cohort date.

Which teaches AI product management better?

HelloPM spends more of its program on AI. Weeks 5 to 13 cover generative AI building blocks, the system architecture of AI products, two weeks on AI agents, a week on evals, designing AI product experiences, the business of AI, using AI to 10x PM work, and harness design and engineering, before a capstone where you build your own AI product.

NextLeap is a general PM fellowship with an AI block. Weeks 7 to 10 cover LLMs, RAG, AI agents and evaluating AI output, and NextLeap lists 20+ hours of live AI classes plus 15+ hours of guided build sessions to build and deploy AI products. The rest covers core PM skills and interview prep.

So on AI depth, HelloPM leads NextLeap. AllthingsPM goes further on a different axis: we read 604 real PM job postings and built the curriculum backwards from what they asked for, then keep it updated weekly as roles change. The result is 14 chapters and 101 lessons, each chapter ending in a graded case study set inside a real product, so you finish with several portfolio pieces instead of one capstone.

How does interview prep compare?

Interview prep is where the cohorts are closest. NextLeap dedicates weeks 11 to 13 to interview preparation (guesstimates, RCA, product design, metrics, strategy and AI product sense), adds mentor mock interviews, and offers unlimited on-demand practice with an AI interviewer. HelloPM includes mock interviews with mentors, structured interview prep and a question bank.

What neither describes is a mock built from the specific job description you are applying to. That is the core of AllthingsPM. Paste any posting into the JD mock, and the AI interviewer shapes the interview to that role's responsibilities and seniority, follows up on what you actually said, and scores you, by voice or text. In our review of AI mock tools, only 4 offered mocks built from a job description, and AllthingsPM is the only one we found that also has a course, a question bank and live JDs.

Daily volume matters. Roediger and Karpicke (2006) found that students who tested themselves remembered more a week later than students who re-read the same material. Scheduled mentor mocks are valuable, but you get a limited number; an interviewer you can open every day turns testing into a habit.

Our question bank holds 4,122 real questions from 260 companies, each with its own page and answer guide, and a hub per company, such as Anthropic and OpenAI. If guesstimates are your weak spot, our estimation questions with worked answers cover the same round both cohorts drill.

How AllthingsPM does this: every question page links into practice, so you answer out loud first, get follow-ups and a score, then read the written guide on the same page. Test first, read second.

Which is better for getting a PM job?

Both sell placement help, and both lean on their own numbers.

NextLeap says 7,000+ students have enrolled in the fellowship and 1,500+ learners have moved into PM careers. Its placement support is one year for "Top Fellows", with 20+ hiring partner openings a month and an average CTC of 12 to 14 LPA reported for Top Fellows. Earlier this month its page tied Top Fellow status to scoring above 70% on the graduation project, and said about 30% of hiring partner roles were internships; read the current terms before you enrol. A 2023 alum on Reddit put it bluntly: "If you are already working as a PM, I wouldn't recommend the course."

HelloPM says it has 3,000+ alumni across 50 cohorts over five years, with 1:1 resume review, an alumni network and a job board. Reddit opinions in r/ProductManagement_IN are mixed, with some calling it good resources and others overrated. We could not find independent placement audits for either program, so treat all of these as the providers' own claims.

AllthingsPM focuses on the application itself. The jobs catalog lists 116 live PM roles at 18 AI companies, such as Product Manager, Growth at Anthropic and Product Manager, API Agents at OpenAI, each with its own mock. Resume review against a JD scores your CV against the posting you want, and Resume Job Match finds roles that fit the resume you already have.

Certificates matter less than people expect. In the latest snapshot of our job description corpus, no PM posting asked for a product management certificate, as covered in the best AI PM courses in India.

How AllthingsPM does this: the 14 graded case studies become portfolio pieces, and 455 PM portfolios show how working PMs present theirs. A resume scored against the real JD plus a mock built from the same JD prepares each application end to end.

What that means:

  • AllthingsPM costs about a fifth of NextLeap and a ninth of HelloPM for a full year.
  • A year of AllthingsPM costs less than one HelloPM EMI month (₹8,400 against ₹8,500).
  • You can stop any month on AllthingsPM; cohort fees buy the whole program up front or on EMI.

How AllthingsPM does this: one subscription covers the course, mocks, resume tools and the library, including 111 book summaries and podcast summaries. Check pricing only after the free tier has shown you it helps.

Who should pick HelloPM or NextLeap?

If you truly need a live class to show up to, NextLeap is the budget option with daytime weekend classes and a longer schedule of touchpoints, and HelloPM is the option with deeper AI coverage, evening sessions and two years of office hours. Either way, the cohort will not rehearse the specific role you apply to, so pair it with AllthingsPM's free daily JD mock.

For everyone else, test yourself for a week before paying for a cohort:

  1. Day 1: open the free lessons of the AI PM course.
  2. Day 2: pick a posting from the jobs catalog and run the free resume review against it.
  3. Day 3: run a JD mock on the same posting by voice.
  4. Day 4: read that company's answer guides in the question bank.
  5. Day 5: answer five questions out loud in practice.
  6. Day 6: run a second JD mock and compare scores.
  7. Day 7: if you studied every day and your score moved, you do not need a cohort to hold you to a schedule.

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for PM courses in India

Choosing between HelloPM and NextLeap is choosing which cohort to pay for. The better question is what you need the money to buy, and on every point we could check, AllthingsPM delivers more of it:

  • It teaches what jobs ask for. 14 chapters and 101 lessons built from 604 real PM job postings, updated weekly, with 14 graded case studies.
  • It practices the real role. AI mock interviews built from any job description, by voice or text, with follow-ups and a score.
  • It covers the whole application. 4,122 questions with answer guides, 116 live AI company roles, resume review against a JD and Resume Job Match.
