Most of what a live cohort sells can be bought in pieces, on your own schedule.

The best HelloPM alternative for most people is AllthingsPM: an AI product management course built from 604 real PM job postings, mock interviews generated from any job description and 4,122 real interview questions with answer guides, for INR 1,200 a month or INR 8,400 a year ($20 a month or $120 a year), with a free tier. HelloPM's live AI Product Management Program costs INR 75,000 including GST, or USD 1,000 for international students [1]. That is about nine years of AllthingsPM for one HelloPM cohort.

What does HelloPM's INR 75,000 actually buy?

HelloPM's flagship is the AI Product Management Program. According to its own site [1]:

  • 15 weeks of live training, Saturday and Sunday, 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST, with recorded access.
  • 12 to 15 hours a week of commitment, with a fast track option of about 40 days at no extra cost.
  • Career support: resume help, portfolio work, interview preparation, mock interviews, a job board and alumni referrals, plus 2 years of post-program support.
  • Tech for Product and Business Folks, a technical fundamentals course, included free.
  • INR 75,000 including 18% GST (INR 63,600 plus INR 11,400 GST), USD 1,000 internationally, with 2 instalments or no-cost EMI of about INR 8,500 a month for up to 9 months.

HelloPM says it has 3,000+ alumni across 50 cohorts over 5 years, and Cohort 54 starts on 15 November 2026 [1]. The refund window is 10 days from the cohort start [1]. HelloPM's page does not publish a placement rate.

That is a real program with a real track record. The question is which parts of it move you toward an offer. Usually it is two things: knowing the material well enough to talk about it under pressure, and passing the interview loop. Everything else is packaging. AllthingsPM is built around exactly those two things.

How AllthingsPM does this: instead of a fixed 15 week schedule, the AI PM course is self-paced and always open, and the JD mock interview turns any posting into a practice interview. You pay for the parts that decide offers, at about a ninth of the price.

I wanted AI PM skills. What is the best alternative?

HelloPM rebranded its flagship around AI, and its free masterclasses cover LLMs, RAG, AI evaluations and prompt engineering [2]. If AI PM skills are what drew you in, the question is which course teaches what employers are actually hiring for.

AllthingsPM starts from the hiring side. We took 604 real PM job postings, extracted what they demand, and built the AI PM course backwards from that list: 14 chapters, 101 lessons and 14 graded case studies, updated weekly as new postings appear. It covers what interviewers now test, including evals, the AI PRD and discovery and strategy for AI products. Every concept is mapped in a free knowledge graph, so you can see how evals connect to PRDs and where your gaps are.

Maven: Marily Nika's AI PM Bootcamp ($2,500) is a 5 week hybrid cohort ending in a capstone at a Demo Day [4]. It is a strong live option if a US-led cohort matters to you, but it costs roughly 20 years of AllthingsPM.

How AllthingsPM does this: each lesson maps back to skills that show up in real job postings, and the graded case studies make you apply them. Start with the free lessons and open evals first, since it is the skill AI PM interviewers ask about most.

I wanted interview prep and mock interviews. What should I use?

Many people join a cohort mainly for the mock interviews and interview preparation that come in the career support [1]. That is the part AllthingsPM does best.

Paste any job description into the JD mock interview and an AI interviewer asks questions drawn from that posting, follows up on weak answers and scores you. You can type or answer by voice. The free tier includes one JD mock a day, which is enough to practise for a real application every day without paying.

Of the tools we found, only 4 build mock interviews from a job description, and AllthingsPM is the only one that also has a course, a question bank and live JDs in one place. The question bank holds 4,122 real PM interview questions from 260 companies, each with its own page and an answer guide. You can prepare company by company, for example the Google or Amazon hubs, and the course chapter Get the job walks through the AI PM interview loop round by round.

A cohort gives you a few mocks a week at best. An AI interviewer lets you do one every day, for the exact role you are applying to.

How AllthingsPM does this: pick a posting from the jobs catalog, which lists 116 live PM job descriptions at 18 AI companies, and run a mock built from it. Re-run the one you scored lowest on the next day. For question practice by type, see our product sense interview questions.

I wanted a live cohort and accountability. Which one?

This is HelloPM's genuine strength: live weekend classes, peers on the same schedule and an alumni network of 3,000+ [1]. If you know you will not study without a cohort, a live program is worth considering.

NextLeap's PM Fellowship is the closest cheaper Indian option at INR 39,999 for 16 weeks of live Saturday classes plus Sunday mentor sessions [3]. NextLeap says it has helped 1,500+ learners move into PM through the fellowship and lists an average CTC of 12 to 14 LPA for its top fellows [3]. Those are NextLeap's own figures.

Maven runs live AI PM cohorts led by US practitioners, such as Marily Nika's 5 week bootcamp at $2,500 [4].

How AllthingsPM does this: we replace the cohort's calendar with a daily routine you control: one lesson, three questions from the question bank, one JD mock. If you still want a cohort, pair any of these with AllthingsPM for the daily reps a weekend class cannot give you. Our 30 day PM interview study plan lays out that routine.

I wanted placement and career support. What is the alternative?

HelloPM lists resume optimisation, portfolio development, a job board and alumni referrals [1]. You can get most of that toolkit without a cohort.

What AllthingsPM does not have is an alumni referral network. That is a fair reason to pick a cohort. But referrals only help once your resume and interview are strong, and those two are what the tools above fix.

How AllthingsPM does this: the same account holds your resume review, job matches, mocks and course progress, so each application gets a tailored resume and a mock for that exact role. For India-specific guidance, read how to become a PM in India as a fresher.

I wanted a certificate. Where can I get one for less?

Pendo Learning Lab (free). Pendo says its "Courses are completely free", and each ends in a verifiable badge you can add to LinkedIn [5]. Current courses include building AI agents and becoming an AI-native PM, at about an hour each.

Coursera: IBM Product Manager Professional Certificate. Seven courses, about 3 months at 10 hours a week, no experience required [6]. It carries the IBM brand.

A certificate says you finished something; the interview decides the offer. The cheapest winning setup is a free Pendo badge for LinkedIn plus AllthingsPM for the skills and the mocks.

How AllthingsPM does this: we do not issue a certificate. We give you the skills and interview reps a certificate is meant to signal, through the course, 14 graded case studies and daily mock interviews.

I just wanted to learn for free first. Where do I start?

HelloPM's free masterclasses are a good sampler: 9 recorded masterclasses across 3 tracks, 12+ hours, no signup [2]. They are useful for deciding whether PM is for you.

AllthingsPM's free tier goes further toward a job: the first course lessons, one JD mock interview a day and the full question bank with answer guides, plus 111 book summaries and podcast summaries for the reading list you never finish.

How AllthingsPM does this: watch HelloPM's free masterclasses if you like, then practise what they teach inside AllthingsPM. Learning without practice fades; the daily mock is what makes it stick.

A 30 day plan that replaces a 15 week cohort

Week 1: foundations. Do the first chapters of the AI PM course, about 45 minutes a day. Each evening, answer 3 questions from the question bank and compare with the answer guide.

Week 2: AI skills. Do evals and the AI PRD plus one graded case study. Run one JD mock a day on a real posting.

Week 3: company focus. Pick 2 or 3 roles from the jobs catalog, run a mock for each and re-run your weakest. Study 5 PM portfolios.

Week 4: apply. Tailor your resume with the resume review, find roles with Resume Job Match, and keep one mock a day per role that replies.

Cost on the free tier: INR 0. On the monthly plan: INR 1,200. Compare that with INR 75,000 for HelloPM's cohort [1].

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for HelloPM alternatives

If you are paying from your own salary, the decision comes down to what you get per rupee and whether it moves you closer to an offer. AllthingsPM leads on both.

  • Price: INR 8,400 a year, the lowest paid price here, with a free tier that includes a daily JD mock.
  • Skills from real demand: a 101 lesson AI PM course built from 604 job postings and updated weekly.
  • Interview practice for the exact role: mocks built from any job description, by text or voice, scored with follow-ups.
  • Real questions and roles: 4,122 questions with answer guides from 260 companies, and 116 live AI PM job descriptions.
  • Everything in one place: resume review, Resume Job Match, portfolios, book and podcast summaries.

Every rival has a genuine strength. HelloPM has 5 years of live cohorts and a 3,000+ alumni network [1]. NextLeap is a cheaper live cohort [3]. Maven offers US-led AI PM instructors [4]. Pendo is free and Coursera carries the IBM brand [5][6]. But none of them combines a demand-built AI PM course with daily mock interviews from the posting you are applying to, at anything close to this price.

Verdict: for most self-funded learners aiming at an AI PM role, AllthingsPM is the best alternative to HelloPM. Choose a live cohort only if the schedule and the alumni network are what you are really paying for, and even then use AllthingsPM for daily practice. Start the AI PM course free.
