What is PMMockr?

PMMockr is an AI mock interview tool built only for product managers. Its home page describes "timed PM case practice for product design, metrics, strategy, and more," answered "by voice or text," with "clear feedback on what to improve."

The flow is simple: pick a case (filter by company, type and difficulty), run a timed interview with follow-ups, then read a report. The report breaks your answer into framework layers, each with what your answer showed, what was missing and what to do next. PMMockr also runs a Saturday contest with a leaderboard.

Its strengths are real. Unlimited free mocks on its free "Top-MNC" questions is generous, and the fixed framework report suits people who like a rubric. The limits: cases come from its library, not from the posting you are applying to, and there is no course, resume review or jobs catalog around the mocks.

How AllthingsPM does this: our interviewer covers the same case types and follows up on what you said, but the question can be any of our 4,122 real ones or a job description you paste. What was MockJam?

MockJam described itself as "AI Mock Interviews for Product Managers." Its archived home page (July 2025) promised "dynamic follow-up questions and real-time feedback," a choice of three interviewer tones (Hand-Holder, Neutral and Strict) and three question types: Product Design, Metrics and Product Sense. Its July 2025 demo video lists the same loop: it "asks product/design/strategy questions," "follows up intelligently based on your response" and "gives structured feedback with scores and tips."

Pricing was per mock, in credit packs, with the first mock free. That was a low entry price for a handful of sessions.

The problem today is availability. On September 28, 2026, a lookup of mockjam.app returned "not found" and every fetch failed. We do not know why, and we are not claiming the company has closed. PMMockr's own July 2026 list of AI PM mock tools still includes MockJam, marking its free practice as "Unclear."

How do the AI interviewers compare?

All three share the loop that matters most: the interviewer reacts to your answer instead of grading a monologue, then scores you. The differences are in what shapes the interview and what you do after it.

• What shapes the interview. PMMockr: a case from its library. MockJam: a question type and a tone. AllthingsPM: the question you pick or the full job description you paste.
• The report. PMMockr gives a framework breakdown with evidence and next steps, a real strength. MockJam offered a feedback analysis and a progress dashboard. AllthingsPM scores your answer against the question or role, then points you to the answer guide, the company hub or the matching course lesson.
• Timing. PMMockr times every round, useful for pacing drills.

Why does a job description matter for an AI mock interview?

A Growth PM loop and a Platform PM loop at the same company test different things. The job description is the best public clue to which responsibilities, metrics and seniority the interviewer will probe.

Generic cases build fluency. They do not tell you whether you can talk about the exact problems in the posting. That is the gap neither PMMockr nor MockJam fills, and it is why we built the JD mock. What do PMs say about AI mock interviews?

We found no independent reviews of either PMMockr or MockJam. On AI mocks in general, PMMockr's own guide notes that AI mocks improve structure and timing but that most candidates still benefit from a human mock before final loops. That is fair.

Learning research supports the volume half. Roediger and Karpicke (2006) found that students who tested themselves remembered more a week later than students who re-read.
