Short answer: if you are looking for a MockJam alternative, use AllthingsPM. AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Like MockJam, it gives you an AI interviewer built only for product manager interviews, with follow-up questions and scored feedback. Unlike MockJam, it builds the mock from the exact job description you paste, gives you one free JD mock every day, and sits next to 4,122 real PM questions from 260 companies, each with an answer guide. There is also a practical reason to switch: when we checked on September 28, 2026, the mockjam.app domain did not resolve at all.
MockJam facts below come from MockJam's own home page as archived by the Wayback Machine on July 10, 2025, its LinkedIn page and its demo video. We did not buy a MockJam credit pack, so we describe its features as MockJam described them.

What was MockJam?
MockJam described itself as an "AI-Powered Interview Practice Platform" for product managers. Its archived home page promised "natural conversations with our advanced AI interviewer" with "dynamic follow-up questions and real-time feedback on your responses," and said the AI was "Trained on 500+ Mock Interviews."
You picked two things before each session:
- An interviewer style. "Hand-Holder" was "your supportive coach," "Neutral" was "balanced and fair," and "Strict" would test "your thinking with tough follow-ups. Like a skeptical VP who wants to see your logic."
- A question type. Product Design, Metrics or Product Sense.
After the interview you got a "Comprehensive Feedback Analysis" covering "thinking process evaluation, communication style, and actionable improvement steps," and a "Progress Tracking Dashboard" across sessions. A MockJam LinkedIn post also described a question library with questions such as "How would you monetize YouTube Shorts?" and "How would you reduce churn at Uber?", each with breakdowns, "AI-reviewed sample answers" and tags like Product Sense, Growth, Monetization and Ops.
That is a sensible design. The interviewer style picker in particular is a nice touch for nervous first timers. The limits were scope (three question types) and the fact that every mock after the first one cost credits.
How AllthingsPM does this: our AI interviewer runs in one session screen where you can switch between typing and speaking at any point. It follows up on what you actually said and scores the answer against the question or role you chose. Start from any question in practice or from a real posting in the JD mock.
Why would you need a MockJam alternative?
The simplest reason: on September 28, 2026, a DNS lookup for mockjam.app and www.mockjam.app returned "not found," and a fetch of the home page failed with the same error. We do not know why, and we are not claiming the company has closed. But if you had MockJam bookmarked for interview practice, you cannot use it today.
The second reason is fit. Even when it was live, MockJam covered product design, metrics and product sense. Real PM loops go wider. Our question bank has 4,122 questions from 260 companies, including 948 from Google and 757 from Meta, and it spans strategy, execution, estimation, behavioral and AI product questions as well. AI company loops add evals, model tradeoffs and agent failure modes, which a three type picker does not reach.
The third reason is role specificity. A Growth PM loop and a Platform PM loop at the same company test different things. The job description is the best public clue to which, and we did not find a way to feed one into MockJam.
How AllthingsPM does this: every company has its own hub, such as Google and Meta, and every question has its own page with an answer guide. You can open any question, answer it out loud in practice, then read the guide on the same page.
How do the AI interviewers compare?
Both tools do the thing that matters most in an AI mock: the interviewer reacts to your answer instead of grading a monologue. MockJam's testimonials highlighted exactly that, with lines like "AI calls out my vague user analysis" and "Nudges me into real PM thinking, tradeoffs, cost vs user impact."
The differences:
- What shapes the interview. On MockJam, a question type and a tone. On AllthingsPM, the question you pick or the full job description you paste, so the follow-ups land on that role's actual responsibilities and seniority.
- Tone control. MockJam let you choose gentle, neutral or strict. On AllthingsPM the pressure comes from the role: a senior posting gets senior follow-ups.
- What happens after. MockJam gave you a feedback report and a progress dashboard. AllthingsPM gives you a score and then points you at the next thing to study: the answer guide for that question, the company hub, or the matching AI PM course lesson.
We have not run both tools on the same answer, so we will not claim our scoring is more accurate. The honest test is simple: spend today's free JD mock on a role you are actually applying to and see how much of the feedback you can use.

How AllthingsPM does this: each of the 116 live roles in our jobs catalog, such as Product Manager, Growth at Anthropic, has its own mock and a resume check against the same JD. For roles we do not list, paste the posting into the JD mock. Our guide to running a mock interview from any job description walks through it.
How much do AllthingsPM and MockJam cost?
| Plan | AllthingsPM | MockJam (archived July 2025) |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 JD mock and 1 JD resume review a day, full question bank with answer guides, first course lessons, Resume Job Match | First mock interview |
| Smallest paid option | $20/month (₹1,200) | ₹49 for 1 mock |
| Mid option | $120/year (₹8,400) | ₹149 for 4 mocks |
| Largest option | Yearly plan, unlimited mocks | ₹299 for 10 mocks |
| What paid adds | Whole AI PM course with graded case studies, unlimited mocks and resume reviews, current week's podcast summaries | More mock credits |
AllthingsPM prices checked September 28, 2026. MockJam prices from its archived home page, July 10, 2025, discounted from list prices of ₹199, ₹499 and ₹999.
What that means in practice:
- Free practice: AllthingsPM, by a wide margin. One free JD mock a day adds up to 30 in a month. MockJam's free allowance was a single first mock.
- MockJam's real strength was a tiny entry price. ₹299 for 10 mocks worked out to about ₹30 a mock, which was cheap if you only wanted a handful of sessions.
- Volume and breadth: AllthingsPM. A paid AllthingsPM plan has no per mock meter, and the same ₹1,200 a month also covers the course, resume reviews and the library. If you run more than a few mocks a week, a flat plan beats buying packs.
- Availability decides it today. A price you cannot pay is not a price. AllthingsPM's plans are live on our pricing page.
How AllthingsPM does this: one subscription covers the mocks, the whole AI PM course, unlimited resume reviews and the library, so you are not topping up credits mid prep. Start on the free tier and upgrade only once the daily JD mock has shown you it helps.
What else do you get with AllthingsPM that MockJam never had?
A mock tells you where you are weak. The next question is what to do about it, and that is where AllthingsPM goes further.
- An AI PM course. 14 chapters and 101 lessons built backwards from 604 real PM job postings, with 14 graded case studies, updated weekly. Lessons such as the AI PRD and the chapter on proving outcomes, economics and pricing cover what metrics and strategy rounds at AI companies probe.
- A concept map. The knowledge graph shows how AI PM concepts connect, which helps when a follow-up jumps from evals to pricing.
- Resume tools. Resume review against a JD shows which responsibilities your resume does not yet prove, which is exactly where interviewers probe. Resume Job Match finds live roles that fit.
- A library. 111 book summaries, podcast summaries and 455 PM portfolios for examples of how strong PMs present their work.
MockJam's focus was the mock itself. That kept it simple, but it meant going elsewhere for everything around the mock.
How AllthingsPM does this: after a mock, the gaps it surfaces map to a place in the product. An AI concept gap goes to the course, a framing gap goes to the answer guides, and a resume gap goes to the JD resume review, all without leaving the site.
A 7 day plan to replace MockJam with AllthingsPM
If MockJam was your practice routine, here is how to rebuild it on AllthingsPM in one week, mostly on the free tier.
- Day 1: pick your role. Choose the posting you most want, from our jobs catalog or anywhere else, and run the free JD resume review against it.
- Day 2: your first JD mock. Paste the posting into the JD mock and answer by voice. Write down every follow-up that caught you out.
- Day 3: product sense. Take three questions from our 50 product sense interview questions, answer each out loud in practice, then read the answer guide.
- Day 4: product design. Do the same with the product design interview framework, including a question like how would you validate your product design?.
- Day 5: metrics. Work through our metrics interview questions and read about counter metrics, a common follow-up.
- Day 6: second JD mock. Same posting, new session. Compare the follow-ups with Day 2.
- Day 7: review. Skim a framework summary such as Decode and Conquer and write down your three strongest stories.
Days 3 to 5 cover the three question types MockJam offered. Days 2 and 6 cover what it did not: an interview shaped by the job you actually want. Testing yourself first and reading second is also what learning research rewards; Roediger and Karpicke (2006) found that practice testing beat re-reading for recall a week later.
Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for a MockJam alternative
If you came here because MockJam is not loading, the decision is simple, but AllthingsPM wins on the merits too:
- It keeps what worked. A PM-only AI interviewer that follows up on your answer and scores it, by voice or text.
- It starts from your role. Mocks built from any job description you paste, plus 116 live AI company roles with their own mocks.
- It is far more generous for free. One JD mock a day, the full question bank with answer guides, and no card.
- It covers the whole loop. 4,122 real questions across 260 companies, not three question types.
- It teaches. A 101 lesson AI PM course built from 604 real PM job postings, plus resume review, Resume Job Match and a library, in one plan at $20 a month or $120 a year.
MockJam's genuine strengths were its friendly interviewer style picker and a very low entry price for a few mocks; those were good for a first taste of AI practice, and AllthingsPM's free daily mock now gives you more practice than a paid starter pack did. Our verdict: for PM candidates who want a MockJam alternative, AllthingsPM is the better choice. Start a free JD mock or compare plans.
Start today, free: open the JD mock, paste the job you want most, and after one session you will know which follow-ups the interviewer will push on and what to study next.
