What this question tests

Self awareness and growth mindset: can you describe a genuinely difficult piece of feedback and show how it changed your behavior.

How to approach it

  1. Pick a real, specific piece of feedback, not a disguised humblebrag like being told you work too hard.
  2. Set the situation: who gave the feedback and what prompted it, in one or two sentences.
  3. State the feedback plainly, without softening it, so the difficulty is credible.
  4. Describe your first reaction honestly, including any defensiveness, then how you processed it.
  5. Explain the concrete action you took afterward and the result it produced.
  6. Close with what you would still watch for in yourself today.
