Whether the candidate's interests genuinely fit the team's actual problems, not just a generic answer.

Reflect on what kind of problems energize the candidate, zero to one building versus optimizing an existing mature product.
Connect that preference to a specific past example where that kind of work was genuinely satisfying and why.
Tie the preference to the specific team or role being interviewed for, showing the answer is not generic.
Acknowledge the trade off of that preference, zero to one work being higher ambiguity, to show self awareness.
Keep the answer grounded in real interest, not just saying what sounds impressive.

Names a specific type of project, ambiguous zero to one problems in an unproven market, backed by a concrete past example, not just an abstract preference.
Ties the answer directly to what this specific role or team actually does, showing research was done beforehand.
Shows self awareness about the trade off, enjoying ambiguity but needing to consciously build in more structure for a team to follow.
