A strong fintech product manager portfolio proves three things a generic PM portfolio does not: you understand how the money moves, you shipped inside regulation instead of around it, and you can put a number on the result. AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform, and its free PM Portfolios directory lists 53 real fintech PM portfolio sites (out of 455 PM-level portfolios), from payments PMs at Visa, PayPal and Booking.com to product directors at Revolut. Filter by industry and level, then practice for the role in the same account.
Below: the 12 fintech portfolios worth studying, what each does well, the data on all 53, and a weekend plan to build yours.
Which fintech PM portfolio examples are worth copying?
We link-checked all 53 fintech entries on 29 September 2026: 49 returned a normal page and 4 blocked or errored on our automated request. One person, Jeremy Perdue, has two entries (his homepage and his portfolio page), so the 53 entries cover 52 people.
| Portfolio | Company (current or recent) | Fintech lane | What to copy |
|---|---|---|---|
| AllthingsPM PM Portfolios | 53 fintech PMs, 455 total | All | Filter by Fintech and level to find peers in your exact lane |
| Kasey Chiu | Visa | Payments, softPOS | Four headline stats before any scrolling |
| Manjushree Murthy | Independent | Banking, fraud, compliance | Before and after case studies with compliance results |
| Aakash Thumaty | Flex | Credit building | One line per project, each with a number |
| Frans Matthew | Privy | Identity, lending, BNPL | Operational metrics like approval time |
| Hadar Zeharia | eOS | Embedded finance | A positioning line about the ledger layer |
| Nnanna Ijezie | Booking.com | Payments infrastructure | A title that names the niche in four words |
| Felix Jamestin | Revolut | Neobank | Writing about building products |
| Chandan Reddy | CRED | Rewards, lending, payments | A developer to PM story |
| Sowmya Shantharam | Farmers Business Network | Lending, payments | Range across 6 industries |
| Rachita Kumar | PayPal | Payments | Day job plus a founding PM role |
| Gurpreet Singh Padam | Capri Global Capital | Loan origination, collections | Owned product lines named plainly |
| Msingathi Majola | SwapEazi | Stablecoin payments, Southern Africa | Regional focus as the headline |
Company, lane and focus come from each entry in the AllthingsPM directory, checked 29 September 2026. Stats quoted below were read on each person's own site the same day.
The spread matters. Almost two thirds of the fintech portfolios (35 of 53) are from PMs and Senior PMs, and 18 are from Group PMs, Directors and VPs. Whatever your level, there are real peers to benchmark against in the AllthingsPM directory.
How AllthingsPM does this: open PM Portfolios, set the industry filter to Fintech and the level filter to your own level. Every card shows the person's title, company and a one-line focus, and opens their live site in a new tab.
What makes a fintech PM portfolio different from a generic one?
Fintech PMs work where mistakes cost real money and draw regulators. Mind the Product puts it plainly: "The product manager's role is to ensure that the cross-functional team pays attention to compliance." [1] Product Leadership lists regulatory knowledge such as "KYC requirements and anti-money laundering laws" next to APIs, encryption and payment gateways as core fintech PM knowledge [2].
So a fintech hiring manager reads your portfolio for signals a consumer app manager would skip:
- Money flow. Do you know what happens between tap and settlement? Can you name the ledger, the processor, the issuer?
- Risk tradeoffs. Did you reduce fraud without blocking good users? Did you speed up onboarding without weakening KYC?
- Regulated delivery. Did you ship on time with compliance, legal and risk at the table?
- Numbers. Volume, approval rate, loss rate, conversion, time to decision.
If your card payments work touched cardholder data, the PCI Security Standards Council says PCI DSS applies to all "entities that store, process, or transmit cardholder data" [3]. Mentioning that you shipped inside that scope, without revealing anything confidential, tells a reviewer you know the terrain.
How AllthingsPM does this: the question bank has real fintech prompts you can rehearse against your case studies, such as How would you prevent fraud for fintech products like SoFi? and How would you increase trust in a new fintech app that transfers money across borders?. Each has an answer guide and can start a mock.
What do the best fintech portfolios actually show?
Here is what we read on six of the standouts, quoted from their own sites on 29 September 2026.
Kasey Chiu (Visa): stats first
Kasey led Tap to Phone (softPOS) at Visa from prototype to global launch, per the directory entry. The homepage puts four stats above everything else: "12+ Years in Product", "200× YoY Engagement Growth", "01 Granted US Patent" and "10× YoY Revenue Growth". A reviewer knows the scale of the work in five seconds. Copy the pattern: three or four numbers, no adjectives.
Manjushree Murthy: compliance as the product
Manjushree positions herself as someone who "builds AI-driven product and decisioning systems for regulated environments." The site shows headline figures like "£24B Portfolio protected" and "1M+ Transactions/mo", then case studies with results such as "47/48 milestones. Zero violations" and "82 CSAT (from 68, target was 75)". Note the last one: it states the baseline and the target, not only the result. That is the most convincing way to write a metric.
Aakash Thumaty (Flex): one line, one number
Aakash's site is deliberately plain. Each project gets a single line with a result: "Launched Credit Builder in the first 8 weeks, from 0 to 1 and currently at a 7 figure ARR." A plain design is fine in fintech. Clarity reads as trust.
Frans Matthew (Privy): operational metrics
Frans worked on identity, trading, lending and vehicle financing in Indonesia. His lending case study reads "Digital submissions up about 25 percent year over year, approvals cut from five days to three." Time to decision is the metric lending teams care about, and he leads with it. His BNPL case shows "Completion up about 10 percent, manual underwriting down about 20 percent": a growth number and a risk number side by side.
Hadar Zeharia (eOS): the ledger layer
Hadar leads embedded finance at eOS, with prior roles at Stripe, per the directory. The site opens with "I build what others build on top of," then explains that the interesting work sits "in the contract, the ledger, the state machine." If you are a platform or infrastructure PM, this is how to make invisible work legible.
Nnanna Ijezie (Booking.com): niche in the title
Nnanna's page title is simply "Payments Infrastructure PM." The directory entry describes a decade building card settlement, local payment methods and stablecoin rails across 80+ countries. Naming your niche that precisely helps recruiters searching for exactly that.
How AllthingsPM does this: once you have picked a portfolio pattern, run a JD mock on the fintech role you want. Paste the job description and AllthingsPM builds a scored interview from it, in text or voice, with follow-up questions that push on the same tradeoffs your case studies claim.
How should you structure a fintech PM case study?
General PM portfolio advice holds: CareerFoundry tells PMs "to constantly point out your own involvement in the projects and the effect that that had" [4], and Leland advises you to "Pick a few key projects that best showcase your product management skills" [5]. For fintech, add a risk line. A structure that works:
- Context in one line. Product, users, market, and the regulated layer (for example: consumer lending, card payments, or KYC onboarding).
- The problem, with a number. "Approvals took five days; applicants dropped off."
- Your decision and the tradeoff. What you chose, what you gave up, who you convinced (risk, compliance, legal, ops).
- The result, with a baseline. Before, after, and target if you had one, like Manjushree's CSAT line.
- What you would do differently. One honest sentence.
Keep it to two or three case studies. Fintech reviewers will read one deeply; make that one excellent.
What if my work is under NDA?
Most fintech work is. Describe the problem class, your decision and the relative result ("cut manual review by about a fifth") instead of absolute volumes or partner names. Use percentages instead of dollar figures if your employer treats them as confidential. Never publish internal screenshots, fraud rules or model thresholds. If you are unsure, ask your manager before you publish.
How AllthingsPM does this: before you send a portfolio link, run your resume through resume review against a JD. It scores the match to the fintech role you are applying for, so the resume and the portfolio make the same claims.
What should a fintech PM portfolio look like by level?
The 53 entries show a clear pattern by seniority.
| Level | Fintech portfolios in AllthingsPM | What the strong ones emphasize | Example |
|---|---|---|---|
| All levels in AllthingsPM | 53 | Filter to your level first | Browse the directory |
| PM | 19 | One owned product line, one clear metric | Gurpreet Singh Padam |
| Senior PM | 16 | Headline stats and a named niche | Kasey Chiu |
| Group or Principal PM | 5 | 0 to 1 launches and multi-product scope | Aakash Thumaty |
| Director | 6 | Portfolios of products and compliance outcomes | Manjushree Murthy |
| VP or CPO | 7 | Team size, revenue, company outcomes | Jack Litchfield |
Counts from the AllthingsPM PM Portfolios directory, fintech-tagged entries, September 2026.
At the top, Jack Litchfield's entry describes leading product, design, creative and research teams serving 80MM+ customers at Super.com. At the PM level, Gurpreet Singh Padam's entry names the exact product lines he owns: loan origination and collections. Both are specific. Neither says "passionate about fintech."
How AllthingsPM does this: the directory's level filter runs from PM to VP or CPO, and the senior PM portfolio roundup and director and VP portfolio roundup go deeper on the top levels.
Which fintech lanes do the 53 portfolios cover?
Reading the 53 entries, the lanes cluster around a few areas:
- Payments and payments infrastructure: Visa, PayPal, Booking.com, and independent payments PMs like Dhiren Kirpalani and Niraj Kumar.
- Lending and credit: Flex, Capri Global Capital, digital lending at Farmers Business Network, and Frans Matthew's lending work.
- Neobanks and consumer finance: Revolut, CRED, Super.com, Chipper (Katrina Laszlo's former role).
- Stablecoins and digital assets: Julia Palam, Msingathi Majola, Azeez Akande at Dexpay.
- Insurtech: Embroker, where both Chris Spagnuolo and Ericka Harris most recently worked.
- Trading and wealth: Jeremy Perdue's work at E*TRADE and Charles Schwab, and Satyankar's trading products.
Pick the three portfolios closest to your lane and study those, not the most famous ones.
How do you build a fintech PM portfolio in a weekend?
Saturday morning: pick your lane and peers. Open PM Portfolios, filter to Fintech and your level, and open five sites. Note which one you would call back as a hiring manager, and why.
Saturday afternoon: write two case studies. Use the five-part structure above. Each one gets a baseline and a result. Each one names the regulated layer and the tradeoff.
Sunday morning: write the first screen. One positioning line (like Nnanna's "Payments Infrastructure PM"), three headline numbers, and links to the two case studies. A no-code builder or a static site is enough; our guide on how to build a PM portfolio website covers the options.
Sunday afternoon: pressure-test it. Pick a real fintech JD, run a JD mock on it, and see whether your case studies answer the follow-ups. Then practice a company set, for example Revolut PM interview questions or Affirm PM interview questions.
Fintech is also moving into AI: fraud models, underwriting and agentic support. If your target role mentions AI, the AllthingsPM course covers evals, agents and AI product metrics, built from 604 real PM job postings, and the AI PM portfolio examples post shows how AI PMs present that work.
How AllthingsPM does this: every step above lives in one account: the portfolio directory, the question bank, JD mocks, resume review and the course. You do not need a separate tool for each stage.
Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for fintech PM portfolio research
General PM portfolio guides mix every industry together. The AllthingsPM directory has 53 fintech entries alone, each with title, level, company and focus, filterable, and link-checked (49 of 53 loaded normally on 29 September 2026).
Other resources have real strengths. CareerFoundry and Leland publish useful general guides on what to put in a PM portfolio [4][5], and their advice matches what the best fintech sites here already do. What they do not give you is a searchable set of fintech PM peers, or anything that helps after the portfolio is done.
That second half is where AllthingsPM wins. A portfolio earns you the interview. The interview is where fintech candidates get asked about fraud, trust, checkout friction and payments metrics. AllthingsPM gives you 4,122 real questions from 260 companies with answer guides, company pages for Stripe, PayPal, Revolut and Affirm, mocks built from any job description in text or voice, resume review against a JD, and an AI PM course, all at $20 a month or $120 a year, with a free tier that includes one JD mock a day.
The verdict: use the AllthingsPM directory to find the fintech portfolios worth copying, build yours with the weekend plan above, then practice the interview it earns you on AllthingsPM. Start free on AllthingsPM.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best place to find fintech product manager portfolio examples?
AllthingsPM's free PM Portfolios directory is the best place: it lists 53 real fintech PM portfolio sites among 455 PM-level portfolios, filterable by industry and level. Each entry shows the person's title, company and focus, and links to their live site.
Do fintech product managers need a portfolio?
It is not required for most roles, but it helps when your resume cannot show the depth of regulated work. A portfolio lets you explain a risk tradeoff and a result that one resume bullet cannot. Our post on whether PMs need a portfolio covers what hiring managers say.
What should a fintech PM portfolio include?
Two or three case studies, each with context, a problem with a number, your decision and tradeoff, and a result with a baseline. Name the regulated layer (KYC, lending, card payments, compliance) and one clear positioning line on the first screen.
How do I show fintech work that is under NDA?
Describe the problem class and your decision, and report relative results such as percentages instead of absolute volumes or partner names. Never publish internal screenshots, fraud rules or model thresholds, and check with your manager if unsure.
How many case studies should a fintech PM portfolio have?
Two or three deep ones. Leland advises picking "a few key projects" [5], and the strongest fintech sites in the AllthingsPM directory, like Frans Matthew's with three, follow that.
How do I prepare for fintech PM interviews after building my portfolio?
Practice on real questions: AllthingsPM has company pages for Stripe, PayPal, Revolut and Affirm in the question bank, and a JD mock turns any fintech job description into a scored interview with follow-ups. The free tier includes one JD mock a day.
