Short answer: for most PM candidates, AllthingsPM is the better choice. Both tools are AI interviewers built only for product managers that ask, follow up and score you by voice or text. But AllthingsPM builds the mock from the exact job description you paste, and adds an AI PM course, 4,122 real questions from 260 companies with answer guides, 116 live AI company roles and resume review against a JD, for $20 a month or $120 a year (₹1,200 or ₹8,400 in India). PMMockr is a focused case drill tool with a generous free tier and one-time passes (₹2,700 for 3 months or ₹9,600 for a year when we checked).
Every PMMockr fact below comes from PMMockr's own live pages, checked on September 26, 2026. We did not buy a PMMockr plan, so we describe its features as PMMockr describes them.

Why AllthingsPM wins on role-specific prep
A Growth PM loop and a Safety PM loop at the same AI lab test different things, and the job description is the best public clue to which. That is why we built AllthingsPM around the role, not just the company.
Paste any posting into the JD mock, or pick one of the 116 live roles in our jobs catalog, and the AI interviewer shapes the interview to that role's responsibilities and seniority, follows up ("why that segment?", "what would you cut?"), and scores your answer. Each catalog role, such as Product Manager, Growth at Anthropic, has its own mock and a resume check against the same JD. In our review of AI mock tools, only 4 offered JD-based mocks at all, and AllthingsPM is the only one that also has a course, a question bank and live JDs.

PMMockr works at the company level: you filter cases by company, type and difficulty, and premium unlocks company-specific banks. That is good practice for generic cases. We did not find a way to paste a job description and have PMMockr build the interview from it.
Our question bank also leans toward AI companies: 105 Anthropic and 98 OpenAI questions, alongside 948 Google and 757 Meta, with a hub per company such as Anthropic and OpenAI. Every question has its own page and answer guide, and you can start a mock from any of them through practice.
How do the AI interviewers compare?
Both follow up on what you actually said rather than grading a monologue, both take voice or text, and both end with a score. That is the feature that matters most, as we argued in our guide to the best AI mock interview tools for product managers.
The differences:
- What shapes the interview. On AllthingsPM, the question or job description you choose. On PMMockr, a case you pick from its library by type (product design, metrics, strategy, execution, RCA, guesstimate, technical PM, behavioral).
- The report. PMMockr breaks feedback into framework layers (evidence, gap, next step for each), which is a real strength if you like a fixed rubric; its FAQ cites "72+ framework-aligned evaluation parameters". AllthingsPM scores your answer against the role or question you chose, which is what the real interviewer will do.
- Timing. PMMockr times every round, which is handy for pacing drills.
We have not run both on the same answer, so we will not claim ours scores more accurately. The simple test: spend your free daily JD mock on a role you are actually applying to and see how much of the feedback you can use.
How AllthingsPM does this: our interviewer lives in one session screen where you switch between typing and speaking at any point, and every follow-up is anchored to the question or job description you picked. Start from any page in the question bank or from a posting in the JD mock, and the score you get back tells you what to fix before the real loop.
Which is better for AI PM roles?
AllthingsPM, clearly. AI company loops increasingly test evals, model tradeoffs, agent failure modes and AI product metrics. Our AI PM course was built backwards from 604 real PM job postings, as covered in our state of AI PM hiring report, and is updated weekly. Lessons such as the AI product sense and execution rounds and the AI PRD teach the skills, the knowledge graph maps the concepts, and the mocks and jobs catalog then let you rehearse them on real AI company roles.
PMMockr lists AI PM guides and covers technical PM questions, but it is a practice tool, not a course. For what AI lab loops test, see our Anthropic PM interview guide and OpenAI PM interview guide.
How much do they cost?
| Plan | AllthingsPM | PMMockr |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Question bank and answer guides, first course lessons, 1 JD mock and 1 JD resume review a day, Resume Job Match | Unlimited mocks on free "Top-MNC" questions, no card |
| One month | $20 (₹1,200) | Not offered |
| Three months | $60 (₹3,600) as three monthly payments | ₹2,700 one-time (about $31) |
| One year | $120 (₹8,400) | ₹9,600 one-time (about $109) |
| What paid adds | Whole AI PM course with graded case studies, unlimited mocks and resume reviews, current week's podcast summaries | Premium and company-specific question banks, all model solutions |
Prices checked September 2026. PMMockr prices include its FIRST50 launch discount.
What that means:
- For a year in India, AllthingsPM is cheaper (₹8,400 against ₹9,600) and includes a full course, resume tools and a library on top of mocks.
- For a single month, only AllthingsPM offers one ($20).
- Outside India, we charge in dollars; PMMockr charges in INR, so your bank may add a foreign transaction fee.
- PMMockr's 3 month pass is cheaper (₹2,700 against ₹3,600) and has no renewal, and its free tier gives more generic mocks. If you only want free case volume, that is its strength; for preparing for the job you actually want, our free daily JD mock and free answer guides are the better place to spend your time.
How AllthingsPM does this: one subscription covers the mocks, the whole AI PM course, unlimited resume reviews and the library, so you are not paying separately for practice and learning. Try the free tier first, then check pricing only once the free daily JD mock has shown you it helps.
What do PMs say about AI mock interviews?
We did not find independent Reddit reviews of either product yet. On AI mocks in general, one candidate in an August 2025 Reddit post described running more than 60 timed voice AI rounds because "peer mocks weren't reliable, everyone's busy and you don't get high quality feedback". A PM community for finding mock partners notes that real feedback is something "AI doesn't always help" with. Both are fair. Learning research backs the volume point: Roediger and Karpicke (2006) found that testing yourself produced better recall a week later than re-reading. An AI interviewer is a cheap way to test yourself out loud many times; if you also want a human for final calibration, see our guides to the best PM mock interview platforms and Pramp alternatives.
How AllthingsPM does this: we built for the volume case without giving up quality. You can answer any of our 4,122 questions out loud in practice, get follow-ups and a score, then read the written answer guide on the same page, so every rep ends with a model to compare against.
A 7 day plan that uses AllthingsPM for a real role
Here is how we would spend one week before a PM loop, using the free plan first and upgrading only if it helps. Take a real posting, for example Product Manager, Growth at Anthropic.
- Day 1: read the role, then check your resume. Run the free JD resume review against the posting. Note the two or three responsibilities your resume does not yet prove, because those are where the interviewer will probe.
- Day 2: run your first JD mock. Paste the same posting into the JD mock, answer by voice, and save the follow-ups that caught you out. Those follow-ups are your study list.
- Day 3: learn the gaps. If the gaps were AI specific (evals, model tradeoffs, agent failure modes), open the matching AI PM course lesson. If they were core PM (metrics, prioritisation), read the answer guides for that company in the question bank.
- Day 4: drill by question type. Pick five questions from the company hub, such as Anthropic, and answer each out loud in practice before reading the guide. Testing first and reading second is what the Roediger and Karpicke study rewards.
- Day 5: second JD mock. Same posting, new session. Compare your score and the follow-ups with Day 2.
- Day 6: widen. Use Resume Job Match to find two similar live roles and run a mock on one of them, so you are not overfitting to a single interviewer style.
- Day 7: rest and review. Skim a framework summary such as Decode and Conquer and write down your three strongest stories.
You can do most of that week for free, with one JD mock and one resume review a day. On PMMockr you could run many generic cases in the same week, which builds pacing, but none of them would be shaped by the posting you are applying to.
Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for AI mock interview prep
The decision comes down to what you are preparing for. If you are preparing for a specific role, AllthingsPM fits the job better on every point we could check:
- It starts from your role. Mocks are built from any job description you paste, a feature we did not find on PMMockr. Only 4 tools in our review of AI mock tools do JD mocks at all.
- It teaches, not only tests. A 14 chapter, 101 lesson AI PM course with 14 graded case studies, built from 604 real PM job postings and updated weekly.
- Every question has an answer guide. 4,122 real questions from 260 companies, each with its own page, including 105 Anthropic and 98 OpenAI questions.
- Your application, end to end. Resume review against the JD, Resume Job Match, 116 live AI company roles with their own mocks, 111 book summaries and 455 PM portfolios.
- Better value for a year. $120 a year (₹8,400 in India) against PMMockr's ₹9,600 year pass, and ours includes the course.
PMMockr's genuine strengths are its unlimited free generic mocks, fixed framework report and weekly contest; they are good for volume, and you still need role-specific practice to walk into the real loop ready. Our verdict: for most PM candidates, and clearly for AI PM roles, AllthingsPM is the better choice. Start a free JD mock or compare plans.
Start today, free: pick the job you most want, paste its description into the JD mock, and after one session you will know exactly which questions the interviewer will push on and what to study next. No card needed.
