AllthingsPM vs Yoodli: product thinking feedback or delivery coaching

For PM interviews, AllthingsPM is the better Yoodli alternative: it scores what you say against the job description, with 4,122 real PM questions and an AI PM course for $120 a year. Yoodli coaches how you say it: filler words, pace and eye contact.

Delivery gets you heard. Product thinking gets you hired.

Short answer: if you are preparing for a product manager interview, AllthingsPM is the better Yoodli alternative. Yoodli is a strong speech coach that measures how you talk: filler words, pace, eye contact. AllthingsPM judges what you say, which is what a PM interviewer actually scores. It builds the mock from the job description you paste, follows up on your reasoning, and pairs every session with 4,122 real PM questions from 260 companies and an AI PM course, for $20 a month or $120 a year with a free tier.

AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Every Yoodli fact below comes from Yoodli's own pages or named third party reviews, checked on September 28, 2026. We describe Yoodli's features as Yoodli and those reviewers describe them.

What does Yoodli actually do?

Yoodli describes itself as an AI roleplay platform for communication skills. Its home page lists AI roleplays, multi persona panel simulations, speaking analytics on "pacing, conciseness, and sentence starters", an AI tutor, filler word detection and enterprise integrations. Its biggest customers are sales and enablement teams: Yoodli cites Google Cloud rolling out a pitch certification to more than 15,000 employees and Snowflake saving 1,200+ hours of manager coaching a quarter.

That focus is working for Yoodli. It raised a $40 million Series B led by WestBridge Capital in December 2025, and TechCrunch reported the round tripled its valuation to more than $300 million.

Interview prep is one of several use cases. On its interview page, Yoodli says you can "practice realistic interview conversations, respond to dynamic questions and follow-ups, and receive personalized feedback on their responses and delivery." Its help center describes the interview mode as useful for "internal mobility interviews, promotion panels, succession planning conversations, or manager readiness exercises", and asks you to "enter the role and company you want to interview for."

How AllthingsPM does this: we built for one job only, the PM interview. The interviewer, the question bank, the answer guides and the course all point at what a PM loop tests, so every minute you spend is on the round you are about to face. Start from any question and answer it out loud in practice.

Delivery coaching or product thinking feedback: which matters more in a PM interview?

Product thinking, by a wide margin. A PM interviewer at Google, Meta or an AI lab is scoring whether you picked the right user, framed the problem, chose a sensible metric and made a defensible tradeoff. Clear speech helps you get those points across. It does not earn them.

Yoodli's feedback is aimed at the delivery layer. Yoodli's own blog lists "filler words, pacing, eye contact" and "posture, speed, and repetitive phrases" as what it tracks. A 2026 Final Round AI review adds vocabulary diversity, talk to listen ratio and conciseness, and is blunt about the limit: "Yoodli does not evaluate whether your answer was good or complete, it evaluates how you delivered it." The same review lists "no answer content coaching" among its cons.

That is not a flaw in Yoodli. It is a different product. But it matters if your weak spot is the answer itself. You can say "um" zero times and still lose a product sense round because you never defined success, or a metrics round because you picked a vanity metric with no guardrail.

How AllthingsPM does this: our AI interviewer listens to the substance. It follows up where a real interviewer would ("why that segment?", "what would you cut?", "what metric tells you this failed?") and scores your answer against the question or job description you chose. Every question page, such as this enterprise AI agent success metric question, also carries a written answer guide, so you can compare your reasoning with a strong model answer right after the rep.

Can Yoodli build a mock from a job description?

The evidence is mixed, so we will be precise. Yoodli's interview page and help center describe choosing a role and company, and mention company question libraries such as Google, Coca-Cola and Target. Neither page mentions pasting a job description. A 2026 Final Round AI review says Yoodli added custom scenarios where you can "upload your own questions or paste a job description" to generate targeted questions. We could not confirm that on Yoodli's own pages.

Even where it exists, the feedback on those answers is still delivery analytics, according to the same review.

On AllthingsPM, the job description is the center of the product. Paste any posting into the JD mock and the interviewer shapes the questions to that role's responsibilities and seniority, then scores your answer against it. Or pick one of our 116 live roles in the jobs catalog, such as Product Manager, Growth at Anthropic, where each posting has its own mock and a resume check against the same JD. In our review of AI mock tools, only 4 offered JD based mocks, and AllthingsPM is the only one that also has a course, a question bank and live JDs.

Which is better for AI PM roles?

AllthingsPM. AI company loops increasingly test evals, model tradeoffs, agent failure modes and AI product metrics. Those are content skills; no amount of pacing feedback teaches them.

Our AI PM course was built backwards from 604 real PM job postings, as covered in our state of AI PM hiring report, and it is updated weekly. Lessons such as the AI product sense and execution rounds and the AI PRD teach the reasoning, the knowledge graph shows how the concepts connect, and the question bank lets you rehearse them against real prompts. That includes 105 Anthropic and 98 OpenAI questions, with a hub per company such as Anthropic and Google.

Yoodli does not position itself around PM or AI product skills; we found no PM course, PM question bank or AI PM content on its site.

How AllthingsPM does this: learn a concept in the course, then test it the same day. Each lesson points at the round it prepares you for, and each company hub lets you run a mock on that company's real questions, so the loop from "I do not know this" to "I can say this under pressure" is one session long.

Prices checked September 28, 2026. Yoodli counts "any practice session over 30 seconds" as a roleplay.

Bar chart of one year of access: AllthingsPM, highlighted first, $120 including mocks, the AI PM course and 4,122 questions; Yoodli Advanced $240 unlimited; Yoodli Pro $96 for up to 10 roleplays a week
AllthingsPM vs Yoodli, one year in USD: AllthingsPM costs half of Yoodli's unlimited plan and includes a PM course. Sources: allthingspm.app/pricing and yoodli.ai/pricing, September 2026

What that means:

  • For unlimited practice, AllthingsPM costs half as much: $120 a year against $240 for Yoodli Advanced.
  • Yoodli Pro is cheaper at $96 a year, but caps you at 10 roleplays a week and still gives delivery feedback only.
  • The free tiers differ in shape. Yoodli gives 5 sessions in total. AllthingsPM gives one JD mock and one JD resume review every day, plus every question page and answer guide, with no end date.
  • Only AllthingsPM includes learning. The course, answer guides and library are part of the same subscription.

How AllthingsPM does this: one plan covers the mocks, the whole AI PM course, unlimited resume reviews against a JD and the library. Use the free daily JD mock for a week, then check pricing only if it has shown you it helps.

What does good practice look like for a PM interview?

Research on learning favours testing yourself over re-reading. Roediger and Karpicke (2006) found that students who practised recall remembered more a week later than those who restudied. For interviews, that means answering out loud, many times, and getting feedback on each attempt.

The question is what the feedback is about. A rep that tells you "you said 'like' 14 times" is useful once your answers are solid. A rep that tells you "you never said how you would measure success" fixes the thing that loses offers. Most candidates need the second kind first.

How AllthingsPM does this: answer any of 4,122 questions out loud in practice, take the follow-ups, get a score, then read the answer guide on the same page. If a gap is conceptual, the matching course lesson or a framework summary such as Decode and Conquer is one click away.

A 5 day plan to prepare with AllthingsPM

  1. Day 1: check the fit. Run the free JD resume review against the posting you want. The gaps it shows are where the interviewer will probe.
  2. Day 2: first JD mock. Paste the posting into the JD mock, answer by voice, and save the follow-ups that caught you out.
  3. Day 3: fix the content. Open the matching AI PM course lesson, or read answer guides for that company in the question bank.
  4. Day 4: drill by type. Answer five questions from the company hub out loud in practice before reading each guide.
  5. Day 5: second JD mock. Same posting, new session. Compare the score and the follow-ups with Day 2.

Want extra delivery polish after that? Record yourself on your phone and count your fillers. Your content is what gets the offer; your delivery keeps it from being lost.

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for PM interview prep

A PM interview is a test of judgment spoken out loud. AllthingsPM is built for the judgment part, and the voice mode covers the speaking part:

  • Feedback on what you say. Follow-ups and a score on your reasoning, anchored to the question or job description, where Yoodli reviewers note it gives delivery analytics and no answer content coaching.
  • Mocks from any job description, plus 116 live AI company roles with their own mocks.
  • The material to get better: 4,122 real questions from 260 companies with answer guides, and a 14 chapter AI PM course built from 604 job postings.
  • Your application in one place: resume review against the JD, Resume Job Match, 111 book summaries and 455 PM portfolios.
  • Half the price of unlimited Yoodli: $120 a year against $240.

Yoodli's real strength is detailed speech analytics and a broad roleplay library for sales, presentations and manager conversations; it is well funded and used by large enterprise teams. If you are a PM candidate, though, the fastest way to raise your score is feedback on your product thinking. Our verdict: for PM interviews, AllthingsPM is the better choice. Start a free JD mock or browse the question bank.

Start today, free: paste the job you want into the JD mock. After one session you will know which follow-ups the interviewer will push on and what to study next. No card needed.
