How did we judge size and quality?

A question bank is only as useful as what you can do with each question. We looked at five things, in this order:

  1. Size. How many PM questions the site itself says it lists, and across how many companies.
  2. Answer quality. Does each question come with a model answer or guide, or are you reading whatever the community posted?
  3. Practice. Can you answer the question out loud and get feedback, or only read?
  4. Freshness and coverage. Does the bank cover the companies hiring now, including AI labs?
  5. Price. What it costs per year for full access, from the vendor's own pricing page.

Why weight practice so heavily? Retrieval practice beats rereading. In Roediger and Karpicke's 2006 study, students who tested themselves remembered far more a week later than students who restudied the same material [8]. Candidates say the same thing in plainer words: a May 2026 r/prodmgmt post described the problem as "After answering a practice question, I genuinely had no idea if it was good" [9].

How AllthingsPM does this. Every question in the AllthingsPM question bank has its own page with what the question tests and a step-by-step answer guide, plus a button to be interviewed on it. For example, How would you improve Google Maps? shows the guide and a "Start a mock interview" button on the same page.

The question banks, ranked

1. AllthingsPM: the biggest bank, and the only one where every question comes with a guide and a mock

The question bank holds 4,122 real PM interview questions tagged to 260 companies. Company pages group them: Google has 948 questions, Meta 757, Amazon 274, Anthropic 105 and OpenAI 98 [10].

Three things make it better than a longer list:

  • An answer guide on every question, free. You read what the interviewer is testing and how to structure a strong answer before you try it.
  • One click from reading to practising. Each page starts a scored AI mock on that exact question. The interviewer asks follow-ups the way a real one does, in text or voice.
  • Questions from real job descriptions. Many AI company questions come from the companies' own postings, and our jobs catalog holds 116 live PM job descriptions at 18 AI companies, each with a mock built from it, such as this Anthropic growth PM role.

Browsing the bank is free, and the free tier includes one JD mock a day. Pro is $20 a month or $120 a year for unlimited mocks [11]. It has no human coaches, so if you want a person, add a free peer platform.

2. Product Management Exercises

PM Exercises listed 3,185 questions across 230 companies when we checked, with community answers and "100+ expert answers" [1]. Interview Prep costs $149 a year [2]. Its strength is volume of community answers. On classic big tech the two banks are close (about 950 Google questions each), but its company filter showed only 4 Anthropic questions, and it has no AI mock interviewer we could find [1]. See the full AllthingsPM vs PM Exercises comparison.

3. Aced (formerly Exponent)

Aced lists 2,058 product manager questions "verified by hiring managers and candidates," including 519 for Google [3][4]. Pro is $12 a month billed annually ($79 month to month); the tier with AI mocks is $20 a month annually ($99 month to month) [5]. Its real strength is its video courses and peer community. See AllthingsPM vs Exponent.

4. StellarPeers

The free plan gives access to "a growing list of 1,200+ interview questions shared by our community" and unlimited peer mocks [6]. Paid plans run $79 a month to $180 a year. It is the best free source of human partners; answers are community quality.

5. Prepfully

Prepfully's question pages are strong on single companies: 295 Google PM questions when we checked [7]. Its main product is paid coaching, $69 to $399 a session with a median of $149 [12].

6. RocketBlocks

RocketBlocks sells drills and concepts plus "19 mock interviews and answers" from PMs at top tech companies, at $35 a month or $155 a year, and coaching at $200 an hour [13]. It does not publish a total question count.

How AllthingsPM does this. You do not need to stitch banks together. One AllthingsPM account covers the widest set of companies we found, gives you the guide next to each question, and lets you rehearse it as a scored mock the same minute. When you want human feedback, bring your weakest answer to a peer session instead of starting from zero.

What makes a question bank high quality?

Size gets you coverage. Quality is what gets you the offer. Look for four signals.

Real questions, tagged to real companies. Invented prompts drift from what interviewers ask. A good bank tells you which company asked the question and lets you browse by company.

A model answer you can trust. Community answers vary. Some are excellent; many are long first drafts. A consistent guide per question tells you what the interviewer is testing, so you can judge your own answer.

A way to say it out loud. Reading 200 answers feels productive. Answering 20 out loud, timed, with follow-ups, is what the real round feels like.

Coverage of the roles hiring now. In 2026 many PM loops include AI product questions: evals, model limits, cost. A bank built only from older big tech threads will miss them.

How AllthingsPM does this. Our bank hits all four: company-tagged questions, a guide on every one, a mock button on every page, and deep coverage of AI labs. If you are new to AI product work, the course chapter on the AI product sense and execution rounds teaches what those questions test before you practise them.

Which question types should a bank cover?

A complete PM bank covers the rounds you will actually face:

A good habit: pick two questions a day from your weakest type, and one from your target company's page.

How AllthingsPM does this. Company hubs such as Meta mix every round type that company asks, so you practise the real blend. Try a design question like design an anti-scamming product for Meta out loud as a mock and read the guide afterwards to see what you missed.

How should you use a question bank to prepare?

A simple two-week routine:

  1. Days 1 to 2: open your target company's page and skim 30 questions. Note which types appear most.
  2. Days 3 to 7: answer two questions a day out loud as scored mocks. Read the guide after, not before.
  3. Days 8 to 10: paste the job description into the JD mock so the interview is built from that exact role.
  4. Days 11 to 13: one or two human mocks with a peer, focused on your weakest answer.
  5. Day 14: check your resume against the same JD so every story you tell is on the page.

How AllthingsPM does this. Every step except the peer mock runs in one free account: the question bank for days 1 to 7, the JD mock for days 8 to 10 and resume review against the JD on day 14. If you are switching into AI product work, the AI PM course, built from 604 real PM job postings, fills the knowledge gaps the questions expose.

Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for a PM interview question bank

You need three things from a bank: the right questions, a clear picture of a strong answer, and a way to practise until your answer is strong. AllthingsPM is the only bank we found that gives you all three on every question.

  • The most questions. 4,122 from 260 companies, against 3,185 at PM Exercises, 2,058 at Aced and 1,200+ at StellarPeers.
  • A guide on every question, free. No guessing whether a community answer is any good.
  • A mock on every question. Read it, then answer it to an AI interviewer that follows up and scores you.
  • AI company depth. 105 Anthropic and 98 OpenAI questions, and 116 live AI company job descriptions, each with its own mock.
  • Everything else in the same account. An AI PM course, resume review against a JD, 111 book summaries and 455 PM portfolios.

PM Exercises has a big archive of community answers, Aced has polished courses and a peer community, and StellarPeers has free human partners. Use a peer platform for one or two live sessions if you like. For the daily work of learning and rehearsing real questions, AllthingsPM gives you more for less: $120 a year against $149 at PM Exercises. Browse the question bank free.

Your next interview will ask questions someone has asked before. Open AllthingsPM, pick your target company, and answer your first real question out loud today, free.
