Short answer: RocketBlocks is a drill library ($35 a month or $155 a year). Exponent, now renamed Aced, is a course and community platform with peer mocks and human coaches ($79 to $99 a month). Between the two, Exponent covers more, but costs more than twice as much per month. AllthingsPM beats both for most PM candidates: it runs scored AI mock interviews with follow-ups built from any job description you paste, and adds a 101 lesson AI PM course and 4,122 real questions, for $20 a month or $120 a year with a free tier.
AllthingsPM is an AI PM course and PM interview prep platform. Every RocketBlocks fact below comes from its own live pages, checked on September 28, 2026; Exponent prices were checked on its pricing page on September 25, 2026.

What is the real difference between RocketBlocks and Exponent?
They solve different problems. RocketBlocks describes its PM product as "skill-building drills covering key PM interview topics like product sense and strategy, analytical skills and technical fluency". You take a realistic prompt, structure an answer, then compare it with an expert's answer. It also covers consulting, product marketing, strategy and BizOps, behavioral and analytics, which is where the company started.
Exponent is broader. Its 2026 PM course has 7 courses, 44 videos and 23 hours of content, its question library lists 2,040 PM questions with community answers, and it runs scheduled peer mocks and a coaching marketplace. It also covers engineering, data and design roles. In August 2026 it announced it is rebranding to Aced; the site is still tryexponent.com.
So the choice between them is really: do you want structured solo drills (RocketBlocks), or a library plus people (Exponent)?
What both leave out is the step most candidates need before a real loop: being interviewed on the role you applied for, with someone pushing back on what you actually said. A sample answer does not argue with you, and a peer mock depends on finding a well-prepared partner at the right time.
How AllthingsPM does this: every one of our 4,122 questions has a written answer guide, which covers what RocketBlocks' sample answers do. Then you answer the same question out loud in practice, the AI interviewer follows up, and you get a score. Learning and performing sit on the same page.
Which one has better mock interviews?
Exponent, between these two, because RocketBlocks does not really sell live mocks. RocketBlocks' PM page lists "19 mock interviews and answers from PMs at Google, Facebook, Microsoft, Amazon & more" as video content. Watching a strong candidate helps, and it is still watching.
Exponent offers two kinds. Peer mocks are free up to 5 a month on its Basic plan. Its AI mock interviews are for paid members: "Each AI interview lasts 10-20 minutes and connects you via audio to an AI mock interviewer", you "receive a randomly assigned question", sessions cover PM and behavioral only, and the feature is marked beta. Only the $99 a month Expert plan includes them.
That is the gap AllthingsPM is built to fill. Paste any job description into the JD mock and the AI interviewer shapes the questions around that role's responsibilities, product area and seniority, asks follow-ups on the weak parts of your answer, and scores you on the competencies the role weighs. You can switch between typing and speaking in the same session, and every session is saved with its transcript and feedback.

Only four tools we found build mocks from a job description, and AllthingsPM is the only one of them that also has a course, a question bank and live JDs.
How AllthingsPM does this: try it on a real posting such as Product Manager, Growth at Anthropic. One JD mock a day is free, no card needed.
How much do RocketBlocks and Exponent cost?
| Plan | AllthingsPM | RocketBlocks | Exponent (Aced) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | No end date: answer guides, first course lessons, 1 JD mock and 1 JD resume review a day | 7 day trial | Basic: sample lessons, 5 peer mocks a month |
| Monthly | $20, AI mocks included | $35, no AI mocks | Pro $79 without AI mocks; Expert $99 with them |
| Annual | $120, AI mocks included | $155 | Pro $144; Expert $240 |
| Coaching | Not offered | $200 an hour | From $249 an hour |
| India | ₹1,200 a month or ₹8,400 a year | USD | USD |
Prices checked September 28, 2026 (AllthingsPM, RocketBlocks) and September 25, 2026 (Exponent).
Between the two rivals, RocketBlocks is cheaper per month ($35 against $79), and Exponent Pro is slightly cheaper per year ($144 against $155). Most people prepare in a burst of four to eight weeks, so the monthly price usually matters more. Exponent itself labels the monthly Pro plan for "crunch time".
What two months of prep costs on monthly plans:
- AllthingsPM: $40, with unlimited AI mocks built from your job descriptions.
- RocketBlocks: $70, drills only.
- Exponent Pro: $158, no AI mocks.
- Exponent Expert: $198, AI mocks on assigned questions.
One RocketBlocks coaching hour ($200) or one Exponent coaching hour ($249) costs more than a full year of AllthingsPM.
How AllthingsPM does this: start on the free tier, use your daily JD mock for a week, and only look at pricing once the feedback has helped. There is nothing to cancel if it does not.
Which covers more PM question types?
Both cover the classic families. RocketBlocks lists product sense, estimation, root cause analysis, market opportunity estimation, technical fluency and case studies, plus concept reviews on APIs and databases. Exponent's question library adds breadth and community answers across product sense, execution, strategy, analytics and behavioral rounds.
AllthingsPM covers the same families with real reported questions: 4,122 of them from 260 companies, each with its own page and an answer guide, and a hub per company. The Google hub has 948 questions. There are root cause questions such as Amazon's 20% drop in daily active users in India and AI product questions such as a rise in thumbs down on ChatGPT responses.
That second kind matters more every month. AI companies now ask about model quality, evals, agent failures and safety tradeoffs, which classic drill libraries were not written for.
For worked approaches, see our guides to product sense interviews and estimation and guesstimate questions.
How AllthingsPM does this: pick a company hub in the question bank, filter to your weakest round, and answer five questions out loud before reading the guides. Every question page has a button to start a mock on it.
Which is better for AI PM roles?
Between the two rivals, Exponent: its 2026 course now covers AI product sense and evals rounds, while RocketBlocks' homepage lists no AI features. But neither teaches the AI PM job itself, and neither rehearses you on a live AI company posting.
AllthingsPM's AI PM course was built backwards from 604 real PM job postings and is updated weekly: 14 chapters, 101 lessons and 14 graded case studies. Chapters such as Evals and Agents and agentic architecture teach the work, and Get the job covers the loop. The knowledge graph shows how the concepts connect.
Then you rehearse on the real thing. The jobs catalog lists 116 live PM roles at 18 AI companies, each with its own mock, such as Product Manager, Voice at Sierra. For company prep, read our Anthropic PM interview guide and AI PM interview questions.
How AllthingsPM does this: learn a concept in the course, run a mock on a live AI role that asks for it, then read the answer guide for a related question. One subscription covers all three.
What do candidates say about each?
On RocketBlocks, most public reviews are about its consulting module. In a January 2022 r/MBA thread, one commenter noted the non-consulting modules were "very new", added in 2020; another found the content "helpful" but saw "a lot of submodule overlap between each specialization" and called the peer interview feature "relatively underwhelming due to lack of scale".
On Exponent, supporters credit the mocks, Slack community and loop guides; one 2024 commenter credited it for their Google APM rounds. Critics mostly question the paywall. A 2023 commenter wrote: "The youtube channel is helpful. The content behind paywall, not so much." A 2026 thread on r/ProductManagement_IN opens with "I checked Exponent, but it is expensive from India".
The common thread across both: nobody credits a subscription alone. Volume of practice with honest feedback is what moves the needle.
How AllthingsPM does this: our AI interviewer removes the scale problem. It is available at any hour, follows up on your actual answer, and scores you, so you get daily reps without waiting for a peer. Pricing in India is ₹1,200 a month.
A 7 day plan with AllthingsPM
- Day 1: pick a real posting from the jobs catalog or anywhere else, and run the free resume review against the JD.
- Day 2: paste the posting into the JD mock and answer by voice. Note every follow-up that caught you out.
- Day 3: close gaps with the matching AI PM course lesson, or the answer guides in that company's hub.
- Day 4: answer five hub questions out loud in practice before reading each guide.
- Day 5: second JD mock on the same posting. Compare scores with Day 2.
- Day 6: use Resume Job Match to find a similar role and mock it.
- Day 7: skim a framework summary such as Decode and Conquer and write down your three strongest stories.
How AllthingsPM does this: every step sits in one product, and the free tier covers a JD mock and a resume review each day, so the whole week can cost nothing.
Why AllthingsPM is the better choice for PM interviews
People comparing RocketBlocks and Exponent usually want the same thing: to walk into the loop ready. That takes repeated, honest practice on the role you applied for, plus the knowledge to handle AI product questions. AllthingsPM is built for exactly that, and wins on every point we could check:
- It interviews you on your role. Scored AI mocks with follow-ups from any job description. RocketBlocks lists no AI features; Exponent's AI mocks use a randomly assigned question and sit in its $99 plan.
- It costs the least. $20 a month or $120 a year, against $35 or $155 at RocketBlocks and $79 to $99 or $144 to $240 at Exponent.
- It teaches the AI PM job. 101 lessons and 14 graded case studies built from 604 real postings, updated weekly.
- An answer guide on every question. 4,122 questions from 260 companies.
- One plan instead of several. Resume review against a JD, Resume Job Match, 111 book summaries, podcast summaries and 455 PM portfolios are included.
RocketBlocks' real strength is focused drills with sample answers from experienced PMs; Exponent's is people, through peer mocks and 100+ coaches. If you want one human session before a final round, either can be an add-on. For the daily practice that actually gets you ready, AllthingsPM gives you more for less. Our verdict: pick AllthingsPM.
